  1. Yay, trailer looks great! *y* Now, next I'd like to see some actual info on what the story is this time around. All I know is that it involves giant ants, skull people, russians, jungle temples, and possibly aliens. Yep, just another average day in the life of Indy! :-D
  2. Sheesh, what a loaded question.... okay, let me try this: Best Movies: Starwars Episode V, Back to the Future Part III, Batman Begins, Spiderman 1-3, Chicken Run, Ratatoullie, The Incredibles, National Treasure, and Toy Story 2. Worst Movies: Hm, dunno, I haven't actually watched that many movies that I haven't at least liked, mainly because I read non-spoiler reviews before I watch movies. Don't want to waste money you know... Eh, but I can say at least one for sure: Spy Kids 3D. Yeah, when I was younger I loved it, but now I see what a bore and cheesefest the movie is. The first two in the series were good, but it seems like the 3-D aspect sapped any actual enjoyment out of the third. Combined with awful puns, bad dialogue, and cheesy CGI, it's just totally lame. |-/
  3. Great new info, Andrex! ;-) Oh yes, I can't wait to see that scene.... *sweet*

    Exo-codes

You and me both. In fact, I just recently posted a blog entry on BZP about why Exo-force might be ending. Basically, like TLC said, it was because of 2007, which aparently sold really badly, and also had other problems (very few comics that year, a really boring gimmick, and too many launchers that all are exactly the same). ;-) It's too bad too, because the 2008 lineup is amazing. If it's doing as well as it is at your local stores, exo force might have been work keeping around for a while longer. They'd just have to do an equally impressive summer lineup. But, it ain't happening. :-(
  5. This brings to mind an interesting post in the BZP blog of Greg F (you know, the writer of bionicle). He said that since there is going to be an exclusive Brickmaster Bionicle set that will have storyline significance, it's possible that they might try sell it regulary in countries that don't get Brickmaster. Who knows, maybe if there is enough demand TLC might start selling the brickmaster kits in countries like France. ;-) Anyway, this kit is great! Really nice jeep design considering the size of the kit, some great dark green parts, and of course, an Indy Fig. Hehe, even this is better than the "jeep" in the crystal skull temple kit coming out this year. :-D
  6. ..... This. Is. ASTOUNDING. 8-
  7. Actually, it's been confirmed that the hub is the college Indy works at when he's not being Indy, which sounds just as cool. ;-) Oh, and guys, I think it would be cool if next year they release a special edition of this game with a new fourth chapter featuring the new movie! It sures sounds likely, considering what TT has done with the lego starwars series. *sweet*
  8. LOL! :-D Man, if TLC ever saw these, heads would roll! X-D ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay, after browsing all the Toyfair pictures on BZP, I

    Exo-codes

Woah, Exo-Champ! We haven't seen you here or at BZP for ages! Regardless, its nice to see you again. ;-) As for the codes, er, to be honest, I dunno. I haven't bought any 2008 exo-force kits, despite their awesomness. Man, this new Nintendo Wii is gonna take a heavy toll on me this year.... |-/
  10. Well, as usual, I'm the one coming out and disagreeing. To tell you the truth, I frequently use pieces like Piraka bodies and feet in my creations, because they are good base pieces to build on with other pieces. Yeah, I know, I don't post creations on here a lot, but that's because I'm lazy and hate waiting long periods to upload pictures that I had to resize manualy. Just a few days ago, I build a revamped Nuparu Mahri using Piraka feet pieces as his shoulder armor and back armor, but it turned out just fine, IMO. ;-) Hm, I dunno what you mean by illogical in body design, but of course I agree that they don't look like themselves. And again, I don't see why Piraka bodies are useless. I hear people lament how Toa Mata bodies are amazing as parts, and yet I don't see why they love them and hate other types of bodies. *wacko* That'll probably be the next step - in 2009, instead of Toa and vilians, we get canisters with all the parts you need to build your own handheld launcher, complete with scope and some lame projectile to fire. :-|
  11. From what the first game on the official Mars Mission site, as well as various bits in the lego magazine suggests, the humans went to Mars simply to look for crystals, and the aliens were the ones who made the first strike. Also, the aliens are aparently bloodthirsty, and seem to like the taste of human flesh. Thus, the humans are capturing them to protect their own lives, and possibly to see if they can find a way to stop the aliens from trying to eat them. ;-) Anyway, this sounds cool! I am really hoping for a space related theme - it would be awesome to have a multi-faction theme on the scale of Starcraft, Star Trek, and all the other pure space worlds (Starwars doesn't count, because it is really a hybrid of fantasy and space, not pure space). ;-)
  12. Hey, I don't like the current sets this summer, but I wouldn't want to have japanamation guys working on Bionicle either, because I never thought Bionicle ever remotely resembled anime, so I don't believe they would actually make it look great. :-/ No, that's a common misconception around these parts. Greg has nothing to do with set design, and it's not exactly possible to speak out against it either, since he and every other story team member are under the control of the ultimate overlord of Bionicle, TLC. |-/ Proof: I dislike the set designs this summer (with the exception of Bitil and Takanuva), but I still really like Greg, because no matter what I think of the sets, I like the writing of bionicle, and the writing makes the characters look a lot better in my head. ;-)
  13. LOL, we kinda already had that with the Vahki in 2004 (they transformed from a two-legged humanoid to a 4-legged beast). But hey, if done right, that might be kinda cool. I though you were the guy who loved transformers, anyway. ;-) Then again, with the way that TLC is going, they'd probably mess it up. :-X
  14. I've said it several times, but I'm going to say it again - I'd love to see an expansion of the theme based on the current batman cartoon. *sweet* The first year of the theme would be simple - the basic vehicles (bat glider, bat-bot, batmobile, bat boat, bat-wing) and the Batcave, of course. In order to maintain the basis of the theme, they'd make the kits based on different episodes of the show - the batbot could be paired with Bane's supercharged form, the Batmobile with Joker's little buggy and his fake-batman form, firefly with the batwing, Man-bat with the bat-glider, penguin and his boat with the batboat, and D.A.V.E with the Batcave (like in the episode where he takes over the batcave). They could also release a new Arkham that year with some of the villains lacking a major kit in the first year, like Ridler and Mr. Freeze. Next up would be year two, with sets based on the Bat Jetski (Killer Croc), Bat Cycle (Gearhead and Batgirl), and locations like Gotham PD (Black Mask and his jail break), and Wayne Manor (Catwoman). Year three and then on could have kits based on scenes from episodes without vehicles, like the Greenhouse battle with Poison Ivy, the Clocktower fight with Catwoman and Ragdoll, and the battle in Gotham's water main (Mr. Freeze and Firefly). Yeah, okay, since the show is on its last season, this probably won't happen. But I can always dream.... :-)
  15. I don't see what's wrong with a non-license having violence in it anyway. If we've tolerated - make that, loved realistic gun molds, gun laden jeeps, weapon loaded starships, and Nazi-look-alikes in the themes based on Starwars and Indiana Jones, a regular theme with elements shouldn't be a problem, if you are thinking technically. :-/ Actually, IMHO, Agents actually doesn't seem that violent compared to what it could be. Yeah, we have guns and rockets on sharks, but it's not like TLC is marketing these directly with the "kill the bad guys" intent. On the outside, all this is is a secret agent theme with a dark blue spy team engaging in top secret missions and rescues. Nothing wrong with that, is there? :-/
  16. Agreed. And I have to say, Lewa's new mask in the giant flying vehicle set totally blows his canister set mask out of the water. Seems to be a combination of the giant mouth of the original Miru and the jagged edges of the first Miru Nuva. *wub* Although, I don't see why they have these giant spiked globe things as heads instead of regular heads. Makes Pohatu look like he doesn't have any eyes..... but actually, they may just be prototype molds. Most test molds are made in red, black or white, after all, and I bet making them trans takes a WHOLE lot longer. ;-) No, this was proven wrong way before Agents and this. It seems that around the time of Alpha Team the no-violence policy was partly revoked, and now with Exo-force, Dino Attack, Mars Mission, Bionicle, and so many other themes, it doesn't really mean anything any more. ;-) Of course, this doesn't mean we'll be seeing any War in Iraq themes.... although Indiana Jones seems to be pushing the bar even farther with those tanks and jeeps. :-P
  17. Oh noes! TLC is making an Indiana Jones/Star Trek crossover! *sing* X-D
  18. Excellent mod! ;-) It only makes me wish that TLC had made a skeleton fortress this year..... :-(
  19. Sorry, I guess I should have made myself more clear: what I meant was, that in comparison to Alpha Team, Agents has a lot more going for it in terms of design and parts. I knew they were fine once I saw the whole wave of preliminary pictures (the ones that TLC asked eurobricks to take off) - I never doubted that this was looking better than Alpha Team. ;-)
  20. .... I hate this. And this could all be solved (well, some of it at least) if those environmentalists would let up and let us drill for oil in Alaska, which is part of OUR country. |-/ I don't care about that as much as I care that he is wearing a MASK OF SHADOWS. Onua isn't the MOMN, TLC, and you know that! >:-(
  21. More impressions: - Agents, which was looking okay to me in the begining, is looking far better now, and truly seems to be everything Alpha Team wasn't. The vehicle designs are a whole lot better, the parts selection is amazing with all that dark blue - man, I'm really liking this line. *sweet* - Creator is awesome as always - I'm so glad they are expanding with new vehicles like that ferry, which looks fanstastic. *wub* - The big castle boat seems to be far better than the viking ship in 2005 - which wasn't that bad to begin with. Lots of cool details, a good green dragon with head armor, and lots of figures! *y* The catapault... eh, not that great, but a good army builder. :-) - Mars Mission seems far better this year than last year. It's great to see a large human ship, and the tank and human moon walker are awesome! Oh, and the alien ships aren't clones of each other. *y* - No summer exo-force..... :'-( - Bionicle.... is mostly crap. Except for Bitil and Takanuva, but the higher price will keep me from buying the former, although the latter I might get... eventually. :-/ Overall - SUMMER LEGO ON! *sweet*
  22. And your point? None of the three summer Makuta look even remotely like a female, sadly proving that TLC has lost the ability to make female bionicles that LOOK like females. And it was so easy to make them back in 2001 and 2004..... :-| .... I wear red sometimes.... 8-| :-P Dunno, I guess they were just trying to hold off as long as they could. Oh well, looks like I'm not buying any of the Mistika.... ;-)
  23. Agreed, which is why I'm glad they are at least back to plastic masks. :-/ But MAN, some of these new masks are just AWFUL! Gali has the worst blue mask since Hahli Inika, Tahu's doesn't look anything like a Hau, and Onua's... er, I still can't tell what it looks like. :-| Even worse, Tahu is the only toa with a weapon BESIDES a crappy launcher. Gali and Onua both are stuck with the same unfortunate situation as Kopaka. :-X Still, it's at least good to see that they are recoloring a lot of old pieces into new, awesome colors. Orange Inika chest armor? Lime Inika shoulder armor? Silver legs? Mmmm, don't you just love it.... :-) If there's one kit here I truly can say I like, it would have to be Takanuva. Despite not having any gold, he is seriously kick butt! And his "new" mask is just awesome! *wub* I don't think so. Greg said that no major characters would die in 2008, since the shocking conclusion to the year would not include character deaths, but something else.... :-/ Still, this is crud that they are re-releasing canisters sets in the SAME year. Looks like they are running out of ideas.... :-|
  24. Man, starwars just looks amazing! I don't care that the figures are animeized, because they still look great, especially the non-humanoid ones like Plo Koon and the Magna Guards! *wub* Indiana Jones looks great too, but Batman... not as much. That Mr-Freeze set may be a cheap way to get the cold guy, but otherwise it looks like crud. Batman's Batcycle is just :-X, although Harely Quinn is just wonderful. *wub* The other two sets are much better, IMO, but still don't seem quiet as good as the very first wave, especially considering that they have no new figures except maybe a new suited batman. I'm STILL waiting for a minfig Gordon and Batgirl.... |-/
  25. Woah, do you have pictures? If you do, or could get some eventually, I'd really like to see them. I'm kinda really intrigued by bootlegs just like you... ;-) Oh, and the new Mistika pictures prove (at least to me) that Bitil is the only half-decent desgin in the entire lot. The other two Makuta are crap, and Tahu seems to be the only toa that has a second weapon (onua doesn't and gali seems to just have some mirror-flashlight thingy.). :-X
