  1. I don't even know what to say right now!!!! That is absolutely phenomenal. Great work aliencat!!!
  2. Excellent work once again! Your MOCs never fail to impress. I too would love to see all of them in one gigantic street scene.
  3. haha Thank you! It has grown a lot since march of earlier this year. Right now i'm waiting on a bricklink order with about 60 rock panels. The plan is to build a cliff and have some elevation changes to give the city some height! Stay tuned for updates everyone!
  4. I remember this being my favorite set as a child. It was very exciting to see it under the Christmas tree and I remember opening it up without hesitation to build it. Voted Outstanding!
  5. You should build a micro Freedom Tower next!
  6. I hate that i missed a fellow Eurobricks member! I must have been working at the speedway that day when you visited the store. The pink plates were a surprise to me when we received that massive shipment of PaB boxes. At any rate, i'm glad you had a blast filling up the cups. As i've seen in your newest thread, you've put the pieces to excellent use! Thanks a lot! There is more detail that can be done to the engine. As for the lighting, i've found some LED lights that are powered by AA batteries. I have lodged the battery box in the roof section of the creator house and the 20 or so lights do a good job of illuminating the interior of the dwelling. I bought 3 more LED kits that will find a home inside some of the buildings in the near future.
  7. That is a wonderful idea catbricks! I'm happy to see some of the elements from the PaB wall have gone to excellent use!
  8. Thanks! Yes, we've spent a lot of time with the residential street which is evident through the greenery and details. Next up is a pink house. I just can't decide whether or not to make it modular or just build another suburban house.
  9. Awesome city! That is probably one of the coolest house additions one can do being an AFOL. I look forward to seeing more developments.
  10. Dear LEGO designer, Design a modular hospital. Thank you!
  11. Welcome back into the LEGO hobby. I have been back for about 10 months now and it feels great! I look forward to seeing your city grow as i'm sure it will.
  12. I think i'm just going to keep updating this thread as the city progresses through time in order to keep all the photos in one spot. Here are some more photos which include a few MOCs you might have seen already and a couple new ones that I have recently completed. Enjoy! Recently i've completed a model of a United Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10. This model holds a special significance. Canadian T-Rex! This model still needs some more detail added to it. I plan on building a model of Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory!! This is my ghetto fabulous method of introducing light to the interior of the buildings. So far only the creator house has been illuminated.
  13. I just got done installing some LED lights inside one of my creator houses. I found a small strand of lights that i purchased from Target which runs off of 4 AA batteries. I lodged the battery and lights inside the roof section and the lights emit downwards throughout the house. I might buy a set for each of the buildings.
  14. Thank you! Thank you! That means a lot! At any rate, it's going to be a task for sure! What will motivate me to do it is if I construct my own personal design of a firetruck. haha I'm glad these photos were able to be a deciding factor on how your day went about. Thank you! Unfortunately, most of the interiors in all of these buildings are unfinished. But now that i've found a solution to illuminating the interiors, i'm going to start furnishing some of them. Being that you love the Chili's, I shall devote some attention to the interior and get some interior shots just for you! Well thank you! I'm not sure if i've seen Legostat's city. I should search for it! Thank you!
  15. Wow!! They have some amazing builders over there!! Lots of amazing builds. Thanks for sharing!
  16. Thank you! I wonder if Lego will ever stop releasing Star Wars kits. The walking AT-AT is what got me back into the Lego hobby...i thought it was the most intriguing model ever. I created an AT-AT back in 1996, took a picture of it in the snow, and sent it to Lego to be in the fan club magazine. When i found out Lego had a walking version, it was inevitable to buy it!! I asked my store manager if I could have it, and he said "sure"! This batch of photos is already outdated as there have been a few more details added to the city last night. More pics to come soon! Thank you! haha. I should have taken a shot of the train wreck behind the row of modulars! And yes, the track does end and feeds out into a 3 foot drop haha. The ultimate plan is to build a bridge and have the train run around the entire room. Hello! Thank you! The plane hanging from the ceiling was the best idea in order to alleviate some space...they take up so much room! And speaking of planes, i've got a United Airlines DC-10 that i've been working on. It holds a special significance that I will share when I post it up! I've actually got a small harbour site, but it's located on my desk beside me. If i can figure out a solution, the plan is to incorporate it into city. Thank you! I agree with the cabin looking a little strange. It hit me when I saw the first image of the new 6 wide Octan tanker that is about to be on the market next year...all of a sudden my version was inferior! haha Thank you! More minifigures throughout the city? A lot of them are hiding! In the next batch of photos i'll make it so they can be seen. Thank you! Last night I added some vertical poles on the track to mimic the electric poles that can be found on some light rail train tracks. It looks pretty good, i'll have to take a photo of it. Thank you! The Chili's restaurant turned out better than I originally expected. It's definitely a challenge to make the different styles and themes fit in one big display, but that's what makes it fun haha. Thank you! I work for Lego and upon asking my store manager, he agreed to let me have it. He had told me to go throw it in the trash, but there was no way I was going to let that sign go to waste!!! haha thank you! Thank you! Yes, that is the plan! Somehow I want to make 2 or 3 bays, but in order to do so the base will have to be widened. I'm not sure when i'll get around to modifying that! Thank you! Chili's is one of my favorite restaurants, so I just had to build one! I might even go and eat there tonight!! hahaha Really?! Well thank you! I have seen much more detailed cities though..and i'm working to get to that level. I agree about the police department. With Lego construction in general, almost every model could always use atleast one or two improvements. Wow! I feel honored to be featured on that page. I still remember when you featured the Pink Hotel!! Thank you very much!
  17. Continued updates on pg11!!!! Enjoy! Winter toy shop! There is a brand new type of school bus that i've seen lately in real life. It looks so good that I will be making a model of one in Lego soon. This is my current school bus... A visitor from George Lucas! Another visitor! Ancient battery case being transported.. My version of a 6 wide octan tanker. I'm still going to buy the new one in january 'The Ferrari block'! New airport in January...yay!!! The residential section is growing.. The ambulance and helicopter finally found a home.. One of these days i'm going to make a skyscraper!... chicken and ping pong anyone?! The result of two fire brigades... I'm anxious to build an all black SWAT truck. it WI
  18. I voted city corner! I bought two of them! haha
  19. Lucky for you! I work at the Concord Lego store and i'm the primary person responsible for this latest weeks shipment and stocking of the PAB wall. This monday we received... -small palm tree leaves -bamboo leaves -1x6x5 panel wall transparent -1x6x5 panel wall white -1x6x5 panel wall tan -1x6x4 door frame black -transparent door -8x16 tile dark grey -1x8 brick white -1x8 brick tan - and more! We also have the 1x4 tiles in brown that you are excited about!
  20. I'm getting excited.
  21. Excellent job!
  22. It was a very fun build. Now i've got my first light brick!
  23. Wow! That's a lot of levels. I thought I was going to be special when i post my 3 story fire brigade, but obviously you shattered my hopes and dreams haha! My plan is to make the bottom level have two bay doors side by side. I converted the bottom level of the second fire brigade into a Police station. I changed some of the 2x2 tiles and swapped out the windows with some black frames. My girlfriend changed the 1932 into LCPD. Also where the helmets are, we installed the black jail bars. And the second bell tower went to the town hall which is being converted into a school house.
  24. 6 wide Octan tanker!!! YAY!! ...even though i've already made one, i'll still buy the official Lego version.
  25. Currently the store I work at does not have any of the power functions for sale in the store.
