Busy is an understatement. I've become obsessed as of recent! haha. Thanks for the comments! Here are some recent developments from this past weekend. I also made an eight wide UPS truck that I forgot to take a photo of. A view of my strange modular setup.. Couple tasting some ice cream at the new shop! Here is the beginning of the LEGO store. It's going to be modular and have a McDonalds located above the store.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg! That's incredible. I've been plotting a minifig scale LEGO store for a few weeks now and never took the initiative to break ground with the idea. After seeing your teaser photo I decided to go ahead and begin construction! Thanks for the inspiration.

Awesome! Looks like it will be located in Winterhaven, FL between Orlando and Tampa. Time to test some structural rigidity under hurricane force winds!! haha

I spy about 8 sets that we shared in common from our childhood! We are glad you have come out of your dark age. Welcome to Eurobricks!

Good work! I'm digging the street scene.

Thank you Sir! Despite having a very limited amount of space, i'm making room for this city! As for the roads that end at the cliff?!..haha I've thought about building a mountain from the ground and making it look like the entire city is on the side of a mountain, and possibly building some type of bridge. My imagination runs wild sometimes when i'm sitting on the couch trying to figure out what to do next! haha Thank you Sir! Hopefully the mountain will be finished soon and I will also get some pictures of the interior of the ice cream shop.

Thanks for the review~! Even though i've already built a 6 wide Octan truck, i'll probably still buy the official one.

Dear Mr. Berard, I would like to thank you for bringing me back to the LEGO addiction. It was in part due to the first sight of The Green Grocer sitting in one of the vitrines in the Orlando store. I remember telling myself...whomever designed that did a fantastic job. After browsing the store for a bit, i then grabbed the box and made the purchase. Once i returned to the hotel room, I immediately opened the kit and began building. It was such an awesome build that I decided to return to the store and purchase the Cafe Corner and Market Street as well. As of fall 09, i've been working at the new concept store in North Carolina. I'm one of the facilitators in the Education Center. Customers are always telling me ..."you do know you have pretty much the coolest job ever"?...and my response is..."Of course!...i'm very much aware of that" haha. But then I think to myself, 'but only if i were a LEGO set designer!' ...then maybe i would have THE coolest job ever. haha At any rate, I thoroughly enjoy selling your designs and inspiring the builders of tomorrow. Keep up the excellent designing, and myself and many others look forward to your future finished products. Regards, Eric

I guess it is rather difficult to scale a vehicle to the relative height of the minifigure. Nice writeup!

Thank you Sir! I purchased an entire box of the 1x2x5 trans blue pieces and will probably need another one to finish the project. Would it surprise you if I told you the total cost for the skyscraper so far has been a whopping $120?! And thanks for commenting on the ice cream shop! It's been a project my girlfriend and I have been working on the past week and is nearing completion. Her boss was also kind enough to give us a very large tub of free LEGO~!!!! One man's junk is definitely another man's treasure for sure in this case! We found everything from Harry Potter characters to NBA stars, and some amazing pieces i've never seen before. So with this new batch of LEGO there shall be more MOCs to come!! Without further ado, more updates from the city... Most of the free LEGO we received!... At the start of the day.. At the end of the day.. We also decided to do a color change on the theatre.. New setup with the ice cream shop.. Overall layout of the city thus far.. ..now back to building before it gets to be bedtime! haha

A little more work has been done in Lego City. Please excuse the extreme randomness with this next batch of photos haha! Who loves ice cream!? Grand opening coming soon! These are the owners of the new ice cream shop. The heart was a special kit given to LEGO employees as a token of thanks! I let my girlfriend build it and i decided to affix it to the top of the skyscraper for the time being. Free LEGO!!.. Some intense remodeling over at the engine shop!..

I had to revisit your thread to take another peek. Engine 5 is my favorite out of the bunch.

Welcome back from the Dark Ages and job well done with the truck. I returned to the hobby about a year ago after taking an 11 year hiatus.

One of the greatest LEGO Police headquarters i've ever seen! It reminds me of the actual headquarters here where I live.

Excellent fleet!
-
ah nice! Your town brings back memories of certain sets that I had in my town as a youngster.
-
Excellent idea! You should make some more cars using different colors.
-
The yellow gumball machine is a wonderful detail, and it's only a small intimation of the details that will be found inside the candy shop.
-
The water tender is a nice addition to go along with the truck.

Thank you Sir! Thank you Sir! I will figure out how to make the image 800x600 for the next round of photos. I apologize for hosting them so large.
