  1. At the P.A.B. wall I go to one or two of the necessary parts to make the model was pretty much always sold out. I imagine this may have happened at many of the stores. At some point they must have gotten tired of having a product that was basically always unavailable. I was hoping to get a a good supply of the 1x2 grey plates that were part of the last P.A.M., I stopped in the store 4 times over the last month and the bin was empty every time. I asked every time if they could refill it, but they never had more to restock it with.
  2. These sound like great ideas. Expensive and space consuming ideas though. Your docked Pirate ship is a cool idea, but you'll need at least two 32x32 baseplates to fit it. Airports take up even more room. Train tracks require a lot of space too. I try not to worry about scale too much as Lego Minifig proportions are not to scale with actual people. Build what you think looks good, take it apart and start over if it seems too out of whack compared to the other builds in your town. If you try to make everything to scale you'll need a massive amount of space. Take a look at other Eurobrick users cities to get an idea of just how much space you'll need. If you don't know Jangbricks, check out his stuff. My advice is start with a focus on a particular part of your town and grow it from there. Also buy the older modulars, Palace cinema and Parisian Restaurant, as soon as you can. Also you mentioned some retired creator and friends sets, Lego keeps making new versions of these type of sets. You'll get a lot more for your money buying currently available sets than if you seek out retired ones. If you really like the style of those builds find the instructions online and use them as a starting point for MOC's with your own bricks. Good luck. And definitely read the older posts in the town forum, you'll find that many of your questions have been asked and answered over the years. You'll also see some amazing and inspiring builds.

    MOC:Haymarket

    Most impressive... as always.
  4. The head of K2SO?
  5. If you're thinking of buying multiples of sets just for the pieces, I have a suggestion. You should look up the Elves sets on Lego Bricks&Pieces, or Bricklink and find out how much you'd need to spend to buy only the parts you want. I've found that I save money and avoid clutter when I just buy specific parts I'll be using.
  6. This belongs in a museum.
  7. You make it look so easy. A sign of true talent.
  8. Superbly done. The exterior is impressive, and you've got a ton of great interior details.
  9. Nice. Really great shaping and proportions.

    The Park

Nice scene. I like how you used the Disney CMF heads as balloons, very clever. I also really like the statue with the technic engine block.
  11. 21130 The Nether Railway Set Number: 21130Theme: MinecraftMinifigures: 2, Also Big Magma Cube and Small Magma CubePiece Count: 387Price: USD $29.99 Hello Eurobricks. I purchased this set for the parts without intending to build it. I was pleased with the contents of the set and decided to take a moment to share a few photos with you. As I am writing this the official parts list is not available from Lego, so I am hopeful that this quick look at the parts helps some of you decide whether or not you'd like to buy this set. The set is made of components that are able to rearrange for several layout possibilities, which looks fun to play with. If I didn't need a lot of these parts for a current MOC I would have built and played with this set. The small Magma Cube is a standard Minecraft minifig head. Lots of useful dark red. Curved tiles! And something new and interesting... Plate 2x2 with 2 45º corners, one stud and 2/3 height tenon? Or Plate 2x2 pentagonal with one stud? I'm not sure what to call it but I look forward to using it. And you get a very generous 24 of them. Thanks for looking.
  12. The building you were inspired by is beautiful, as is your model of it. Awesome build.
  13. Another great creation from uefchen. And also a good reminder to wash any used Lego you might buy, as the previous owner may have been using it to prepare food or clean cat litter.
  14. You've got so many cool and silly details throughout the house it's hard to pick a favorite part. I really like all the minifig and animal parts used as decoration. I'd often wondered how those dark red wolf heads would work as an architectural element, I may finally need to get some myself. I will say the attic baby stewing room is kind of nightmarish. Great build!
  15. ^They were in 41174 "The Starlight Inn".
  16. This Castle has been torn down and rebuilt several times. But every time I retained a few details. I'm planning to rebuild it again, and I'm excited about utilizing the new parts that just came out. I took a few photos to help me put it back together later. I wanted a Castle in my Modular City. This is what I ended up with. I nearly finished the interior. Bookcase with a secret passage. I'm not really into taxidermy but I'm missing the rest of the elephant and I hate to let that head go to waste. I like this window and will use it in the next version. I was particularly pleased at how the cheese slopes filled in the gaps over the round windows. Thanks for looking, feel free to leave any comments, critiques, or suggestions.
  17. Brickset has images of the upcoming PaM builds. I don't know when Lego stores will actually start stocking these. The animal has a few things I'm excited about. I look forward to stocking up on 1x2 light bley plates, the dark tan 1x2 curved slope bricks, and the 1x1light bley plate with a clip. I think everything else has already been on the wall for the past six months. http://brickset.com/sets/3850017-1/Digger http://brickset.com/sets/3850016-1/Animal
  18. This is a great idea. Nice work!
  19. Wonderful! You made great choices for the architectural details, it looks very realistic.
  20. If you haven't done it yet, sort them out. There are numerous threads devoted to sorting with suggestions on how to sort them and what to store them in. I also recommend the collection manager on Brickset.
  21. You've put together a great building. The exterior looks good. The colors work very well together. The interior is full of so many details and textures. You've done well coming up with ideas for unique rooms. Nice use of the ship hull in the Pirate room.
  22. Your build gives me a longing for the lake. I may only be 1/4 Finnish but still I have always found suanas to be my favorite place to relax. Very nice!
  23. Wonderful details throughout. Great work!
  24. Surely that plastic is grateful to finally feel oxygen and light. How did it feel tearing opening something so old? It's interesting that the head came attached to the torso in the package. Looking forward to your next unboxing.
  25. For the impatient- Klammsteiner.net. Many peliminary low quality images are available. I won't post a direct link since they are labled confidential.
