Yes, it's true, but the fact that IMO a lot of us are so entousiastic is the fact that we don't expect from TLC not so crappy sets, after seeing those last year products. Those new sets are a sign that TLC is going in the right direction in therm of design, with better sets. They are more than correct IMO in therm of design, and maybe we are seing them better than they are because of this. But it's true that we will never have some sets like in the 80-90's. I don't think so, but what do you want us to do? Personnaly, I can't do anything, maybe just buying some old roadplates on BL or Ebay, but too expensif for me than buying the new ones, even if they make a mix-mash... I disagree. The fiew civilians that we have, have some hair. Not all but almost. Personnaly, it's the firts time in 7 years that I'm so exiting seeing new city sets, even if they are not as good as during the old time.

Nice mocs, I discover what the irish trains look like. I don't think that it will be possible, when you look at a IR base. Because the battery box is very big and it's not on or under, but through the base. And the IR sensor need to be powered by the battery, so it will be hard to make it independant.

I'm so unhappy :'-( I didn't want a licenced set to win... But it's the EB choice, so...

I'm really happy with the 2007 city line! I like al the sets! They have a classic feeling, with an actual touch, not too retro and not too modern. The lake of women is a problem! And for the scale, no matter with me, only this green 8-wide truck, but after downsized it , it would work. The creator houses are oversized for me to feet in my city, so I will downsize them too, and will have some additional parts to make other ones, yes! And Snefroe1, with the city line, we have more diversity than the space one :-P ! With all those new sets, I'm workin on a all new layout for my city, I will try to reorganize it, making it not bigger but denser. A nice challenge for me! Just wait and see those sets in real...

We have a train expert here: lostcarpark. Welcome! A 9V crossover track would be great, but I don't think that TLC will give us it... And I agree with the fact that the IR trains need to have more bases (the chassis with the batterie box) with different sizes.

I don't understand what you say... If it's how to change an icon folder, just right-clic on it, property, personalize, and change icon.

Woa! I like the train station so much! A really nice one. It looks like a small station in a small french city. I find it better than the grand central station. For Hobbes: This is not a modern one... And the cargo truck, good but too big. Why on heart 8 stunds wide? I will have some job to donwsize it... Can't wait to put my hand on all those city sets! X-D I will have some work for my 2007 city layout (that I have already begun...)

Wow! Those sets are awsone, and especially the house :'-) *wub* So many news in few days, my poor heart!

Just hope that you don't speak about the beginning of the 90's, because, we have nice castle in raised baseplates, like the second blcak knights castle, dragon knights and the big and beautifull lion knights castles. Anyway. I will think that the fact a girl appears in a set will make more noise! It's a long time that TLC doesn't give us a minifemale! Just one girl for all those boys, it will have some competiton to save her from the squelettons :-D

Still a new set! Please stop with news! My wallet will not support them all! :-D 2007 will be a very expensive year, I can feel it! A cargo alone will be a nice addition to the harbor.

simonwillems, I really like your work, it's really nice. I especialy like the fact that there are a lot of accessories, which can be put in and on the car. Nice modern adventurer feeling!

The zebra stripes bring a really nice touch to the 4x4. I don't have it, but remembered to see it in the old catalogs. It was nice to see a monkey in a town set, and would have been good to have more of this kind of sets, like TheBrickster said. Maybe one day... The 6490, I don't have it too, but my brother has, and he will give me all his LEGO, yes! X-D

This castle is so-so for me. *n* Fisrt, I hate the dragon, it's a duplo-playmo one, like those :-X dino! I prefer the vikings one (even if they are too bionicll(ish, they look more like lego ones than the new one. And why TLC don't use the dino from the harry potter set, the brown one? It's nice, non -bionicle one, with a lego feeling) Second, I don't find that there are a lot of minifig, just 3 defenders, 1 king and 1 knight with 1 horse... The time has come... (you will see what I mean soon...) And fird, I dislike those golden pieces in a castle... *y* The castle has a nice design, even if it looks like it's not totally close (is it a wall on the left side?) and seems to be big enought. And the minifigs have old accessories :'-) Just wait and see it in real...

It sounds good! Just hope that it will be better than the 4513 5( I know it will, when you look at the 2007 sets...)

I'm an old school afolc, so myvote goes to the flared helmet, even if I like other ones too (like scorpion, kettle and dragon master helmets)

You've got a lot of courage! I had to wait more than a month and it was difficult, but a year, that would drive me *wacko* ! :-D

Here, they are all the extra parts of this calandar: My conclusion: This 2006 advent calandar is better than the 2005 one. In fact, we have more different subthemes, with bigger minisets. The subthemes that are *n* (not too much) the "too classic" ones (from the -- to -): firefighter, police and worker The others are *y* (from the + to ++): hospital, airport, garage, train, city maintenace And what for the Christmas subtheme? Nice, but I'm not a huge fan of it (but I like the parts like the small Christmas tree and the brown case. For 2007, we can expect a bette advent calandar when you look at the new city sets. And just hope to have bigger constructions, now that we know that a big bag can enter in a box. I will finish to say thanks to all the EB who have read this topic. It was funny to divide each day the daily surprise with you... And just hope to see you last year...
