  1. Target is not known in France. And I just hope it's not a TRU exclusive too, because I don't buy my LEGO in a TRU (I don't have any of them near I leave...). Maybe we will have it on the S@H
  2. We see that you like this theme, Brick Miner. And your enthusiasm conforte mein the idea of having some of them (205
  3. Yes, really interesting... I find the lobster, the crab and the squid more organic designed, because the lego bricks give them a "touch of realism". I mean, for the crab and lobster, the angular parts give them a more solid feeling, like in real with their exosqueletons. And for the squid, those curve parts give it a more jelly effect, like in real too. And for the fish and the shark, they don't look smooth enough for me,giving them a too brick-built aspect (that we don't have with the one piece shark and ray, even if they have a real lego feeling, contrary to the new castle dino, but it's another thing...)
  4. Maybe yes, but they could have been worst, like dillthepill said. I find them more system than bionicle, contrary to the dragons and other creatures from the vikings theme. So, even if they could have been more organic designed, the lobster, the crab and the squid look pretty good for me. The shark and the fish not so.
  5. Thanks for the comments! I'm just happy if I bring you back great lego memories...
  6. I think he's French, not because of the car style, but because his cement mixer is called "b
  7. I've seen it in a french TV report, it was in Canada. And that blue lobster looks very beautiful! This blue color gives it an extra magical touch...
  8. In the old 2005 firestation... I destroyed it when I have seen the 2007 version :-D
  9. Yes it's that word... I should have a look at the peeron list to have the name of this pieces...
  10. We have the etrenal problem of scale. A truck in a good proportion to the minifig is not minifig-scaled for me, it has to be a little smaller. 6-wides is the biggest for a minifig-scaled truck. Lego Amaryl, I'm with you!
  11. Those new motor pieces seem to be very good! The dinosaure is sweet when it moves, and the bulldozer so great! And I hope that they will be cheaper than the NXT set, so maybe...
  12. Thanks for the coments! The car platform was the center of this project, I didn't want a garage without it. And if I could have an old-style feeling (my LEGO school) it was better.
  13. I think that I will not make the daily review with this calendar, because I don't like the minisets, they are very bad compared with the 2006 one. :'-( Just hope that it's a preliminary set...
  14. Off topic, but sometimes, I like to look at those old catalogues... I could spend some hours, with all those memories...
  15. With all those new castle sets it’s time to see what classic castles are (nostalgia :-$ …). During my Christmas holidays, I’ve cleaned during six hours, bricks after bricks, two of my CC sets that I review here. Set ref. 6059 Name : Knight's Stronghold Year : 1990 Pieces : 221 Minifigs : 5 and 1 horse Weapons : 2 swords, 1 battleaxe, 2 crossbows and 1 spear, 3 shields This set is my first Black Knights set. It’s a door with two walls on each side that you can open as you want with the hinges. We have 3 black guards (sorry for my bad castle vocabulary in English). Just notice that they are totally red dressed. We have also a falcon knight, one henchman and a catapult. Here the front: Here the back: We find a prison to shut away the bad Falcons: But they can destroy the door with their catapult: For the anecdote, I just discover how to use this catapult! Because, when I was a child, I put two technic bushes to the axle. But one of it was an extra part. And with only one, you just have to draw off the axle and it fire by itself! 8-| So stupid I was! :-$ This set has one spin and a technic brick that permit to connect with other sets, like… Set ref. 6085 Name: Black Monarch’s Castle Year: 1989 Pieces: 665 Minifigs: 12 and 4 horses Weapons: 6 swords, 4 battleaxes, 2 crossbows, 2 bows, 3 spears, 10 shields First, you have to know that it was my first so big set. I can’t remember how old I was (6-7) when I had it, but I was younger than the indicated age on the box. I bought it with some Christmas money (certainly a lot for a young boy). I can remember when I opened the box. There were so many pieces, I can’t believe my eyes! :'-) It took me several hours to build this castle (maybe as many times as cleaning it). So, just let you discover it. We have 8 guards, it’s a lot nowadays! They aren’t all red, but blue/red or red/blue dressed, depend on the kind of guards. And with those guards, we have 4 knights with one horse for each. I think that the black knight is the king of this castle, the second one would be the one with the white horse because it has a horsewear too (I don’t know the correct word, even in French!) and the two other classic knights. The castle now has a big central part, which integrated the drawbridge and a portcullis entirely made with plate bricks. You can open/close, up/down them with strings, like you can see here: Here another view And here the back where we can see the two towers in the corners. This castle can be opened with the hinges pieces, so you can modulate it as you want. Instead of having a square castle, you can have a long one, a real good point for the playability. Here it’s the inside of the castle. There is any detail of life, just a prison under one of the tower. One good thing is that, like I said before, you can connect other sets with technic spins, making your castle bigger and more beautiful, like here: And here from the back: In conclusion, this castle is a real classic set: big, beautiful, a lot of minifigs, a good concept of spin-connection. But we can deplore the lake of details in the castle. It were great if TLC would have made more additional parts, like the guarded inn set ref. 6067. And for people who find that the one-piece wall is a juniorisezed one, those two CC sets have got 19 right panels and 10 corner panels… This set (I know they are 2 in real, but one for me, cause I had one, and the second just few weeks, I was really spoiled this year *sweet* ) is one of my favourite. It reminds me a lot of memories from my childhood, and all those LEGO periods, so nice… Anyway. TLC had succeeded with me, making me having the two sets just for the bigger castle, like it was shown in the catalogue. But it’s without any regerts! *wub*
  16. Maybe the train station is too small, but the truck is too big! We have a problem of scale between the 2 sets... Over than that, I don't find this little train station too bad. It will be a nice second station for a peripheric area, with a bigger one in the center.
  17. Thanks 007, simonwillems and Marc Gagnon for those pics and reviews. I agree with the majority of the Eurobrickers, this station is a lot better than the previous. Nice general look, nice accessories (cleaning area, flowers and tree), sliding door, garage doors, nice trcuk and car. But I agree too that the small baseplates are not so nice because you have to have more of them to integrate it in a layout. And this crapy nozzel :-X just for saving money I think... too bad! I need to buy it! I destroyed my older station, so I don't have the choice :-P Can't wait to have it (not befor february, we are late in some toystores in France...)
  18. Hello, welcom on Eurobricks. But please, write with a correct english! It's already hard for me to read French SMS langage, so in English... Thanks for the non-english people!
  19. During my Christmas holiday, I
  20. Most moding potential for me? The sea snakes of course! And for my favourite deepsea creature, it's the giant squid. I hesitated with the lobster, but I like the fact that we have a squeleton in it >:-)
  21. Yes it's what I wanted to say. And when I don't really know how to say a thing, I use the French syntax. Hinckley39, I have no relation with TLC, so I will never have secret news. And if one day it will, I will say nothing about them, because I dislike this too: "Hey! I have huge news about LEGO. But, I'm sworn to secrecy, so I can't tell you what it is. But I can tell you it's HUGE and it's going to blow everyone's mind!!" Just be cool ;-)
  22. Cant's say more ;-)
  23. For the Hogwart castle, I prefer the second one. The new one will be a nice addition to it, but too small to pretend to be a castle for me. Maybe we will have some other castle parts, but I don't think when you know the story (the action is more outside of the castle). Nice for the SB sets! Just hope that we will not have to wait one year to see them in Europe... And a Miss Puff minifig, that sounds cool! I think that the two sets will be nice, because I was septic the firts time I read here from some SB sets, and TLC have made a very cool stuf with them.
  24. I know why we don't have women anymore in LEGO sets! Because the menfigs dislike the womenfigs! You don't belive me? Just look at the center of this pics... (European catalog from 1991) This always makes me laught! Just hope tha the new princess will not know the same fate...
