What is your favorite LEGO color ???
alex54 replied to Brick Miner's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My favorite LEGO color? I don't have one. I don't have favourite color... When I was a child, the boys and girls had their favorite color due to what they like: pink for girls because of Barbie, red for boys because of the leader of the Power ranger like serie... And me, with my LEGO, I've got a lot of colors... I think that a color is great only because of the other around it, so I can't choose just one favorite color. The world will be so boring if it is monochromic. A color needs another one who needs another one etc. I need a rainbow brick to feel well! -
Happy Birthday to you DoubleT!

It could be very usefull to make a nice diorama, with a paper background. But this kind of construction is not for me, I've got a too small fridge now... Maybe, when I will have a bigger one :-)

Cityfan, Nice to see a new town ;-) ! Just a question, how can you build in this chaos of bricks? :-D Nice buildings however.

@Yoda: What a wonderfull present you will give them with Jordy! :-D -
I don't think it's because of a lake of city fan that there no "classic town" website. Maybe it's because train and town has never really be discontinued, contrary to Space and Pirates. And even if this theme had a dark periode during the end of the 90's and the begining of the 2000's, it has reborn quickly and in a better way than Castle has done with KK. So maybe the nostalgia of the 80-90's sets is not as strong as for those other themes, even if it's here... And I think that it's because of the time. Because, having a website with news needs a lot of time. I remembered that I have made a wensite about my town. I wanted to create a "weekly news", a kind of newspaper with the principal events of the week in my town (new election, escape of a criminal,...) But I didn't have the time for this so I left my website. And after, I discovered EB, with this Train and Town forum and city news. So why looking for another place when I can find here some nice mocs?!

Hinckley39, I'm with you!

Exactly! With so many CC, you have a "too much" building. The sckyscrapers have lighter frontage, with a more vertical design, contrary to this CC which has a dominant horizontal. So, CC is not made for being a sckyscraper, or at least in this form.

It's always good to see more pics of other EB members, an more if there are about their towns! @phoinix: are your workers building the Caf

Thanks for the new comments! This set is really nice in fact. And I think that it's too bad to pass on it just because it's a RC train, because it's so easy make it a 9V one. Okay, you not only need some imagination, but some money too for the 9V motor... ;-) But I think that is worth it.
-
@Shakar: Sorry, I didn't understand correctly 8-| But I agree with you, a baseplate would have been better, especially ifyou want to arrange the interior court...
-
Nothing more to say. Just that I confirm that it is easier to convert a RC train in a 9V version because of the base without the battery box. Here a link to my 9V version of the IR cargo train: link!

This is exactly what I was thinking seeing this pic. And it seems to be light and dark bley... *n* :-D

I know that I'm a bit late, but when I saw the SW pics, it was like a flash! It's this kind of situation where you feel proud of and exited by a discovery, but also stupid because you know that your "discovery", everybody already knows it. I've got so many exemple in memory... I will be regarded as a stupid guy :-$ ! Sorry, but the Viking Fortress hasn't any baseplates. It's the same base system as this lovely castle...

I've just made a dicovery with the squeletons' arms! I know why they look so "robotic"! Cause TLC use them for an other theme, Star Wars. They are the new arms of the tan dro

Nice station, with the good old feeling! Like some others said, a little too red. Maybe a black roof will emphasize your building... Good job *y*

Would you like to see more fantasy/adventure based themes.
alex54 replied to BearHeart's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This new Castle theme, the more I see it, the more I like it! We can feel the fantasy aspect and it makes me very interseted in it... I'm a city man, I will resiste, I will resiste... I ... will... Just hope your right Yoda, cause I will be very happy to see some new adventurers sets. I just have one of the old sets, but I really like all of them. (Why on heart did I not buy that scorpion palace?) -
SavaTheAggie, you give us very good advice! And your pic is very nice! The colours are perfect! Now we wait a tutorila from you! This is the "punishment" of your brilliant idea! :-D *y*

You get a cookie yes :-P And for thenotion of minifig scale, it's an eternal debate. For me, creator houses are not, they are too big, with a back and... They don't have the same sized like the houses from the 90's. Like phoinix said, the original houses are as big as the police department *wacko* ! You can'tbuild those two small houses at the same time. You just need few more pieces (archs and windows) which can be find on PaB. Yes I know. It's for that I specify that they are beta versions. All my houses are furnished. Yes I *wub* the classic minifig scale... And a small caf

:-X I prefer this kind of vehicule: Twingo on! :-D
-
So here are some pics of minifig versions of the two main houses from Creator set 4956. Just note that those houses are in their beta versions. I only used pieces from this set, because I just have a very small part of my bricks with me (the vital minimum for having a normal life, being an afol, just 5-6 sets...) but I need other parts like small windows and some other bricks in different colours (some red ones). Here the european stylish house: I really love this silver fire helmet *wub* ! And here the US stylish house: But from which set are those minifigs coming from? :-D
-
I've got the same problem, and it's horrible :-X
-
It's hard to have a good light when you don't have the equipement that Asuka proposes. Personnaly, I wait for a sunny day, open the windows and take 5-10 pics just for having one good... :-|
-
Just send me all the bricks that are falling donw the floor, so no problem for you anymore! :-D Seriously, I have no solution for you, I build my twon on the floor and store it in a cupboard.

Your American Pumpers look so impressif and big (like almost of things from US) for an European like me! Nice trucks Simonwillems and UniqueBuilder! *y*
