Its not about pyrotechnics, pyrotechnics dont make the band play well, its about how they play, their energy and pressence on stage and how that reachs out to the crowd and weather they play their own way rather then sticking to the album versions of the songs. Led Zep would freestlye live and turn some of their short songs into 14 min epics. Pyro is nothing but a light show. Dont get me wrong, im not saying their bad[even tho it might of sounded like i was], its just that ive been going to live metal gigs since i was 6(thanks to my big bro), and once you've seen the best of the best live, you get high expectations. I was just dissapointed because i did like what i heard on their albums. I just expected too much. Trust me, if you see them live and then see metallica play 'One' or Damage Inc' live, then you'd notice the difference. But i love metal and Rammstein do have sum heavy riffs!

The're good fun live, isaw them last year at the 'pagan fest'. Good little band with catchy lyrics, but dont know how long they will last because they are 1 dimentional! Have to dissagree there, Both times i saw Rammstein they were nothing special, and if a bands not good live then they just dont cut it in my opinion

That is looking awesome Z! Nice to see you've chosen to create your own hull, great choice of colours as well and i rather like the gold on the stern! I dont know much about ship building but this looks great to me

Great little moc, sum nice details and i do like the birds. Great little build.

Thats one of the best remakes ive seen of a set! Very smooth and detailed as always from you. You might want to add a bit of story to it, so it fits in with the theme of the competition. But on the whole, very good work

Excellent work! So many great details and great use of parts!

Treasure chest lids for roofs! Excellent idea there. Its always handy to make use of pieces that never seem to have much use. Lots going on and some great techniques as always. Another all round great build from you!

Thanks for all the great comments! Yes i try to keep most of my models assembled, usually the best ones make it to the coastline. I had to destroy my ptv2 entry to make this one, even tho i would of liked to use it in my coastline. And yes, the model was named after a metallica song, even tho it has nothing to do with what the songs about, but i thought it suited the moc and was listening to it at the time

94d The church of St Govan stands on one of the most scenic parts of the Dumnonian coastline, but sinister things have been happening. A gang of pirates has been using lights on the cliff to lore ships onto the rocks in storms, where the pirates can then plunder the wrecks. The bell rings as warning during storms and is a sad lament for the doomed ships and lost souls who fall victim. Im still working on some 'night time' pics, its a bit harder to get a decent pic at night then i thought. Hopefully get some up soon. Enjoy

Great idea and nice to see something different. Really like this -
A nice little moc, vibrant and pleasing to the eye, with a nice torso use. Like already said, maybe just put a few white tiles in there for waves. Good luck

Thats the same idea as a scene im building for my coastline, altho mines a shipwreck. Neat idea, is there a story behind it? Its very eye catching and theres lots going on. A few things you could change: how did the ship get there, if its low tide then you might want to swap the palm tree and flowers for seaweed and make the ship look a bit more wrecked. Otherwise a good moc and worthy potental winner

Thanks for the great feedback. Yes i agree about the 1x2 grills, i originally just just put a few in around the base of the church as air grills in the masonary, but i ended up overdoing it. I will change them over to the normal grey ones when i finish the moc. Im not sure when it will be ready to display, i'd like to take it to an event but we dont get to many of them here in england as far as i know. Im hopefully going to take a few pics of the coastline together soon, even though its far from finished.

Im working on a church for my coastline, the idea is that i wanted a lonely church standing on a cliff top where the gravestones are falling into the sea due to the errosion of the waves on the cliff. I have not added an interior because i have put lights inside it so it can be lit up on the cliff top in the dark. I wanted to try the same 1x1 flat round technique i used on the cottage in my rum runner moc, but i wanted to see wether it would look good on a bigger model. Ive had mixed opinions so far tho. What do you think? I know it doesnt look very piratey at the moment, but i need to put it on the cliff by the sea, so the finished model will fit in with the rest of my coastline. I will post more pics of the finished scene soon

All these mocs!.....anyone would think theres a contest on! Right, anyway, im liking this! No, im loving this, i mean ya cant beat a good party can ya! You've got the drinks, you've got the food, you've got the fireworks so you just know the nights gonna end with a bang, and you've even got that odd guy who always hangs around outside wishing he could get in but nobody likes him. You've nailed the party vibe, great build all round, help yourself to a pinata!

Great idea, very original. Lovely build, you've captured the story well with a great use of bricks Havn't really got much wrong with this. Excellent work!
-
Great entry, makes me laugh how well you've captured the minifig! She really does look like she means business! Maybe it really is Blackmoor outside! Love this moc!
-
I really like this! Great house with a nice roof and a great scene that you've pulled off very well! Top work!
-
What a very interesting entry! Lots going on and very eye catching with a great idea. All i would suggest is maybe to put it on sum blue plates, i know you have only got 8x8 to build on, but it mite give it a more 'island' feel. Great entry, good luck with the contest!

Very nice job u have done on this, even tho im not a fan of SNOT rocks it is a great bit of landscaping. Im sure your finished project will look stunning once complete. Seeing a nice moc like this makes me wanna go build something really epic! Watch this space Great work, keep 'em coming Z!
-
Thanks, i had a clear idea for this, which is why it didnt take to long. Sometimes i take ages to build a moc cause i dont have a clear vision of what i want to build. Ive never thought that it takes talent to build, anyone can build a masterpiece, all you need is imagination!
