  1. Either one would suit me. Im not bothered about the models, just the parts, which i can use to make my own! Im sure either lines will have decent parts and mini-figs, and thats what matters.
  2. Its deffinitly a shame, but from what ive heard it will be back. I know everyone seems to be assuming they will do a POTC line and some people are complaining about that, but i dont believe that would be a bad thing. To be honest, i didnt buy the current sets for the model, i buy them for the parts, which im sure most do. So POTC sets would be great because im sure they will have lots of cool parts and i dought you would complain about Darkblue-coats.
  3. just a quick question, the large division has a minimum of 16x16, but does it have a maximum? not that im gonna build something overly huge! Or can u just go as big as you want.
  4. A very nice little scene you have there. I Like the look of the docking platform and the tree stumps and 'keep out' sign are nice editions. I think the rest of the grass area could use a bit more folidge and trees etc. Also, maybe you could add a bit more to the hut to make it stand out more, maybe enlarge it by adding another room on top like a look-out tower. On the whole, good job and good luck with the contest.
  5. Thanks, i did post some pictures of the ship seperatly, they are under 'The Crimson Wolf'. Or check out my mocpages and flickr for more pics of both models.
  6. Thanks for all the great comments and feedback. I do have a few more pics that i hope to put on my mocpages. As for the coastline project, yes i do still have chapel rock and steeple brink assembled which join on to this one to make the coastline. Now obviously you cant have port next to port, so i have also been building cliffs, coves and small beaches in between. Most of these are just landscapes, but a few have got their own little scenes going on, so i will probably post them when i have time. I still have a few more mocs left to make for the coastline amongst others, and a couple of secret projects! Cant give nothing away on those, lets just say, you aint seen nothing yet! Thanks again for the comments, and to the staff for keeping this site up and running. Great job guys!
  7. A nice original design with lots of great details. Good work
  8. 93b Durnovaria, a port of the Dumnonian coastline. This is the 3rd part of my coastline project which joins onto my previous models. It didnt turn out how i visioned at first, and i lost patience with it and began another model. But i went back to it a few weeks ago and made a few changes and what you now see is the result. Enjoy
  9. Thanks for the comments . I call it a small ship because it only has 10 cannons and would look pretty wimpy compared to some of the heavily gunned ships on here. As regarding the rigging, i agree that it could look better if done propperly. Ive never really been much of a ship builder and lack the skills to make realistic rigging, i'll leave ht to the pro's like CGH . She was only built as an extra to go with the port.
  10. 88a A few pics of a small ship from my upcoming port. The Crimson Wolf, defender of the port. Should be posting more pics with the finished port in the next couple of days
  11. Sounds good, i think its about i got myself into gear and entered a contest
  12. Thanks for the positive comments. I still need to build the cliffs on the left side, build the warning beacon and finish the ship. Should be all finished next week. I still have Steeple Brink Cove and Chapel Rock assembled because the idea is that they can all join together to create a coastline. Each model uses between £80 and £90 worth of 1x1 round plates, and it drives me crazy putting them all in the model!
  13. Looking very good, some great building designs. Would be great to see it built with bricks.
  14. 70% Complete now, but still a lot to do! Sorry for the poor quality pic, but it was taken quickly in the basement. Hopefully wont take much longer till completion.
  15. Very nicly done and pleasing to the eye. It has more of a viking feel to me then pirates, but very good work.
  16. The chapel ruin is a nice touch and fits in well with the rest of the island. Any ideas on what your going to build from the ruins of this one?
  17. Interesting pics, i never knew about the fort there, i shall have to check that out. I must of been round the Victory and Mary Rose 4 or 5 times as a kid, but not recently. Ive been meaning to look round it again, cause now im that little bit older i can appreciate it more and take it all in. Plus ive got no excuse not to go cause its only 30 mins up the road from me . Thanks for sharing.
  18. Two very nice creations you have there!
  19. Looking good thus far!
  20. I must have missed this one while i was on holiday. What a lovely design! The choice of colours are spot on and the detail with the white bricks really stands out. One of the nicest churches ive seen. Great effort Commodore!
  21. Thats one big project u have embarked on. Its deffinitly going to be the mightiest fort aound. Makes me realise just how big your whole port is going to be, truely epic. I have to agree that faded white looks so much better for that detailed weathered look. Good luck with the rest of the build and remember to spend a bit of time on the details, cause i know how easy it is to rush final stages when you want to hurry up and get it posted. Keep up the good work!
  22. Now thats a ship! Stunning build all round. Theres not much to say that hasnt allready been said. Supurb work
  23. Thats one big port! Its looking very good so far with some nice ideas. I like the docks, big and spacious. Lovely big lighthouse, although that makes it an easy target for my pirates' cannonfire . I seriously need to embark on a big port project. Keep up the good work!
  24. Good work, that is a damn fine ship. Great work on the paneling on the sides, and the stern is lovely. A perfect ship to acompany your port!
  25. Nice idea. The wave turned out well and looks very effective. Good work
