  1. UPDATE: * 1 new render (look from above showing complete diameter of the set)
  2. "Dnalubaf's Cloud Spacruizer" is finished and ready now having like 8 pieces of that brick in trans red color, so once again thanx for pointing me to it (I almost forgot about the brick, gee) + another new set already in the works as we speak (called "Cloudkingdom Karavana Fatamorgantus"). BTW any picture(s) of actual TLG Knight Nexo?
  3. No problem - glad to help you a bit. No, for "regular folk" this is too hard to do, but if you'd tell me exact brick ID I could look into it and possibly make one for you (in case part of the brick having decoration IS NOT CURVED)
  4. Did you actually try LDcad? I guess you could like it - it has everything from MLCAD and even more + work with flexi parts is easy and delightful experience!
  5. Thanx Ha, and I was wondering "Why he does not replay at all to anything lately?" - so now I know why... Have a good vacation, Nicola!
  6. What? Are there actually some already anywhere? Could you show me/us those official pictures? Or do you mean those ones you have already posted above? Yayks! Sure, these were/are one of my special parts that I first had as a child in iconic big space set 6971-1...so that said you inspired me to use it now - I will implement them (a lot of them!) in my next work from the same SPACASTLON subtheme set called "Dnalubaf's Cloud Spacekruizer": a big castle spaceship that can be rearanged to castle outpost and still riding its front part as a separate ship...thanx, danth (WIP, cca. 75% done already)!
  7. This looks quite interesting and I especially like those doubled rear octopus/squid-like 57906 and their color combi...it really reminds mi hybrid of dragonfly and octopus/squid!
  8. Aha, so it is from those books? Actually I saw them many times on BrickLink but I did not know what is it, that said just from pure AFOL point of you I could buy all those books as I already have complete Space theme at home for almost a year now. + thanx, I am happy you like my SPACASTLON pseudo subtheme...and as for the .lxfs: yea, maybe someday - who knows?
  9. Thanx, Dante! Unfortunately I am afraid there is not much inspiration for me on those posted old pictures as they are quite visibly Space with "kind of lame" Castle part integration...almost as being built by some 7yr old, that said: I do not like them much, sorry - there simply seems to be no conception in/behind it, like bricks joint together by pure chance etc. (as for the inspiration part, OK? ). Anyway very good and rare find - where did you dig them out from?
  10. ...and as I said I already did - my own Space & Castle hybrid pseudo subtheme called SPACASTLON: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=113100
  11. Yea - I agree: basically I only wait for a version of BlueRender that would introduce .ldr support (and I know that this support is WIP at the moment) and then I will also most probably switch completely from LDD to LDCad only, the best LEGO SW ever IMHO!
  12. UPDATE: * 1 new render (box mockup-ready "Space-cloud" scenery)
  13. Thank you.
  14. Thanx, today will be the "Day D" for quantum new detailed pictures of this...I just woke up, so you can await first of them like after 2 hours maybe? I will adding them continuously one after another. Thanx. I was trying to choose "happy-like", "live" colors and combi that is not there already (and I am especialy pleased how that copper, silver, white glow (yea!) and that nice sky blue got beautifully together). Yea, you are right with that details about cloud etc., I will do that for sure - in fact, if you look under the image there is written that I released it rather sooner to avoid possible cross with TLG own project so no one could say I was copying them + this way I can also check if the space & castle cross I made/chosen looks better or worse then theirs, quite thrilled to see their result! + if you click that link to it's official webpage underneath the image(s) there is a short plot to the SPACASTLON subtheme and I will not only try to really put it in the clouds (I guess for such purpose the best way to go is making a huge cloud in Blender, export it as .obj and implement via .sc file into BlueRender) but even make half-frozen wall of water behind it (tho I am a bit afraid of the result...I think I use trans-clear as frozen ice and trans-blue as flowing water thru it...well, at least that is my intention, we'll see if it is any better or what ) Thanx + me too!!! BTW as of yesterday evening I am already building a big ship set that'll be called Dnalubaf's Cloud Spacruizer, sooooo...interesting things will come later (ehm, or I hope it will be interesting at least )
  15. Thanx
  16. Hey guys, just to make your waiting more bearable till TLG actually release their SciFi Castle theme here is my own I created these days inspired by this very topic alone - and I named this pseudo subtheme SPACASTLON, + main king's name is, tra-da-da-daaaa: Dnalubaf (guess why? ), hope you will like it. http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=113100
  17. Yes, it should work also on MAC as it is based on JAVA, see this topic: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=109972
  18. Well, this is not exactly what you want BUT what about changing your POV-Ray for new BlueRender that has easy metallic materials implemented right away and is used as a super quick & quality renderer for LDD?
  19. UPDATE: * re-newed/a bit changed (better) renders
  20. Click images for FullHD resolution... THIS IS FIRST MOC FROM MY BRAND NEW SPACE & CASTLE HYBRID PSEUDO THEME CALLED "SPACASTLON". Find out story plot behind this model and even more on set's official webpage: http://lego.queryen....601501.php?j=en You can see it also at MOC Pages here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/417456 LEGO Ideas direct link for those interested: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/113796
  21. LDD is basically just a rather simple 3D modeler for LEGO bricks, for things you are requesting there are SW called renderers like POV-Ray or BlueRender.
  22. More interesting details once again, thanx for your insight.
  23. No problem - glad to help you a bit...
