  1. I remember watching these shows as I would happen upon them on TV. As a kid, they definetly fed into my LEGO fascination! A++
  2. Well, I totally would, sorry about the Coke Zero, I love that stuff too. Anywho, LEGO doesnt have the license to the Pirates of the Caribbean line, I think MEGA BLOCKS does. But I think your point was to have a good pirate line out while the movie is in theaters? In which case, I do agree. But I think it hardly matters, because LEGOs in my area are selling like MAD. The only thing is that its not the Brickbeard's Bounty, but more the Cannon Battle and impulse sets. LEGO needs to stick the shelves better with these. They are their bread and butter, and the kind of set that just wasn't offered when I was a kid. In my new MOC, Im actually finding a war to encorporate Soldier's Arsenal.
  3. If it was old blue coats, I wouldnt think that they were coming out, but it is "new" blue coats for sure. If they do come out with new blue coats, and they make an impulse set, I'm refinancing my house. Also, using the new governor/admiral torso with the old Admiral hat is a big indicator to me as well. They also used the old blue and white striped sails, and I think from my run around with LEGO that they were giving some hints that new things were on the horizon. I think that enough people have been asking for it, that we will see blue coats again. Furthermore, maybe we are finding out that LEGO will use the red coats for land forces and the blue coats for the new lines "navy" which is yet to exist? -Super Also, has anyone noticed that the Shako they are wearing are a totally new type? With the imperial seal, but without the red part? That is neither the old or the new Shako?!
  4. The first time I looked at the picture, I thought the seat cushion was some kind of sail! I was like, what the heck is he doing?!
  5. Don't listent to him!!! Fight the SNOT! Lego men cannot stand on SNOT alone! (that was in the bible).
  6. Not for anything! If the second coming! But, back to the ship. It is amazingly massive in its scale and power. But here are some things I want to see. The bow has a large void of "nothingness" that doesnt not counteract the aft very well. Can you build this up at all? Get rid of the fourth row of cannon, and make the ship more "playable" and less show? I know Im not one to talk as I have not built any ship worth note, but I think this design only needs a few small tweeks to become something really amazing! -Super P.S. I like the name!
  7. Very cool! I like the different designs that LEGO fox has brought to the table. I would like to make some smaller ships out of brick only so that I cant have merchants, etc... running around my port so that it doesnt look like its only military.
  8. I think only a few of my ships are still in ther service they were meant to be in. Most of my pirate ships I have converted either to red or blue, and I even like using the new captain torso for my soldiers... so what does it matter?
  9. Great minds and all that...
  10. I did this as a kid with some toy cannons, but with Cannon Battle being so affordable, there really isnt a reason anymore, is there? Also, the brick built cannons are getting better by the day, and many of those builders encourage people to use their designs! I have plenty of cannon, but have considered using some of the brick designs.
  11. Does brickarms just make a bayonet with a built in clip? I would buy that before U-clips or anything else. It would just make more sense to have a bayonet without a handle/etc... and clip it to the bottom or side. This way, the blade size can be proportional, and have less "clip space".
  12. As long as the contest isnt who has the most cannon battles, because I got a lot, but the good Doctor has more.
  13. I have been working on my port for what seems to be forever. I think that phase one will be completed in a month or so, which will allow me to build out the rest much easier since I can now build everything in relation and proportion to the port entrance.
  14. They are all equally garbage.
  15. That sir is a FANTASTIC idea! Honestly, I would be more excited by winning and a screen capture of my win, than more LEGO. But don't get me wrong, there is never enough LEGO. All I'm saying is that when a contest comes out, if you hear about it, post it to the forum? I would be against people joining the forum just to post contests, but Im sure by now most of you know me well enough to know thats not what Im looking for. -Super
  16. Right, My point is that I want to be able to hear about these contests while they are happening, not afterwards! I love our forum, and its tons of fun, but not forum can run building contests all the time. Thats why it would be nice to advertise the other contests here as well, so those of us who find "bored times" can do some building! -Super
  17. I was planning on using those sloped panels to make a drydock as well. Great minds think alike, eh?
  18. I can only imagine how ultra awesome my blue coat marines will look all having sidepacks, and the officers all having gun belts.
  19. I hear mention of building contests through other groups, websites, etc... Is there any way that when people find out about these that they spread the word through the forum? I know the forum would like to have more, but our "core group" would probably be run ragged and poor having a contest all the time. -Super
  20. Hey, I hate to be a crab, but can we avoid some of these people with bad feedback? I wanted to buy the little pirate island until I saw his feedback was CRAP.
  21. I think his little tighty whities are the funniest. That is some serious attention to detail!!!
  22. Wow! Really great! In my opinion its two MOCs in one! It shows that you have some fantastic technique here. My only problem is that I am not a fan of SNOT whereever a LEGO man might walk. SNOT for water? Great. SNOT for forts floors? I'm not sold yet nor do I think I ever will be. But I don't think this is a problem I have with your MOC, just with the most popular building technique currently.
  23. Another great interview! I love to see how many people started LEGO when they were young and are still in it despire a few "timeouts". I also like to see people who live in seafaring ports, and take inspiration for their LEGO from that.
  24. This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.... *weeping of happiness*
