If anyone is looking for the new Harry Potter sets, I saw them in Toys R Us Mississauga tonight.

I have had these built for quite sometime so I figured I take pictures and share. Growing up on a farm there were so many things to MOC. Here is a pull-type forage harvester being pulled by a Massey Ferguson tractor. And here is a older Ford based on the 1980's 7910 to 8210 model: Cheers!

Look at that piece count. One can only imagine what the price will be. I'm still drooling, however.- 379 replies

I have heard through the grapevine that some Wal Marts will stock them by the end of this week. It's been really hit or miss there from what I have heard. If I hear anything I will pass it on.

Great Barn MdrnMrvls! I was browsing your Flickr stream a while back and loved your shed as well. Just the inspiration I need to start my own! I think the only thing the barn is missing are Lightning Rods on the top. As for the door height, every barn is different. Our barn door is about 18 ft high so we can fit our combine in. Again, great MOCs!

Now to address the issue with stickers! More printed bricks are needed! I haven't bought any newer large sets, but it's great that TLG are fixing the crumpled/ripped instruction problems.

Whoa first Time I have seen this! Looks like the perfect way to sort through bulk Lego lots I find Hopefully they will have this in my neck of the woods. I want one just as a conversation piece!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion

I think you need to look harder into online buying. I've sold my extras on eBay for just above the store price. And if you look at completed listings for all series, they are very reasonable. Heck some are even $3 with free shipping - you cant beat that! Sure some figs go for a bit more, but that's supply and demand - Some figs will always be rarer than others. As for feeling the bags, I have done that for every Series with 100% accuracy. Maybe a little more patience is in order? I get tired of hearing about the blind packaging. This is what the marketing was and as far as I can tell they have been a huge success. Try finding leftover Series 1&2 in stores..... Be happy that you can find them in store near you. A lot of others wish they could find 'em. -
Yeah those glued sets are pretty much useless. Why do they glue them in the first place? Most of them I've seen in TRU are in a display case too so it's not like people can handle it anyways.

For those interested in Series 3 figs, the WalMart at Mavis & Brittania in Mississauga had plenty of them. They were all on clip strips in the Lego aisle. Probably 2 boxes worth. I managed to grab an extra Rapper. Happy Hunting!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion

I think they are shooting for an April release, and April can't come fast enough! -
Looking good Spike! As a huge Nascar fan, you captured the design quite nicely, and the color scheme is great too. Welcome to Eurobricks!

This is great news. I've noticed for the last few months that some sets are hard to get your hands on, plus seeing Lego shelves after Christmas, they must have been doing good. With the special lines coming up (Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean) I'm sure they will do much better. I agree with Zoidy on an investment point of view as well. The recession never held me back, as I bought what I wanted, but I have felt they same way since I got back into the hobby that this is a great investment for years to come. Not that I will ever sell my collection, but it is good to know that it holds its value (look at some older sets on eBay and your jaw will drop!) I think as a company, they listen to what us consumers what. Sure it takes a couple years for stuff to come down the pipeline (PAB on their website), but they are great a picking out the trends. Also the Minifigures releases. I know a lot complain about not being able to see inside the package, but they are selling like hotcakes, so I don't think that bothers them

Nice use of those yellow plates for the dump boxes! The truck looks great!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion

To be straight honest, the "feeling" method is how I figure out what is inside. Series one I got complete online, and never saw in stores, so no feeling there. But for Series 2, I picked out all 16 in a WM Lego aisle in about 30 minutes. As for Series 3, I bought a whole box, and when sorting them used the feel method for all, and was right for every one. I find it a lot easier to be honest. Once you take a good look at what figs there are, it's not hard to find that "odd" piece in each bag. The hardest one to pick out for me was the Race Car Driver IMO. I don't think that TLG will be making it easier to figure out what's in the bags, and feeling them works great for me. Although I must say, your fingertips do get sore after going through 60+ bags ) -
Toys Toys Toys overprices everything and its amazing that the chain can even stay afloat. I have never bought anything there, and I wonder why people do, when for instance in Square One, you can go to WalMart around the corner and get it at least 20% cheaper.

Those clear plastic bins are great eh? That's what I use as well for most of the big lots I have. You've done a great job on your room as well. Love the building area, but doesn't your back get sore?

Wondering if anyone else has had a problem with this piece: I have had 3 break on me, and the conclusion I have came to is that, when under pressure, the spring eventually gives way. When I found this recent one busted, I was taking apart 8445, and in the finished model it is always under pressure. Lego did send me a replacement when I found my first broken one about 6 years ago. Plus they are around $3 a pop on Bricklink New. (I wouldn't trust a used one....) Anyone else notice this?

I couldn't find these in stores either. Got the complete set online, and for a great price.

I'm just waiting for Series 4 Figs and that new Maersk Train!

Looking good! Can't wait for Series 4 to come out! -
Haha Love it! Theses are the people that are selling sealed sets online worth $10 for $129.99! I can't stand some of the wacky prices especially on eBay.

A lot of interesting habits......I will add to the list! The Organized Waiter: Buying Habits: Sales Sales Sales! Buy with BOGO's, yard sales, flea markets, eBay. Never overpay. Paitence is key. Sorting Method: Sorted by piece, Instuctions by size. Everything is organized from boxes to minifigs. Building Space: Table in corner of Lego room or Lap. Philosophy: If you wait long enough, you will find what you want for what you want to pay.

That IS a sweet deal. I was at a Value Village on the weekend and found the Lego Create-It game from 1999. The only thing it was missing was the die! All of the Lego pieces were there, which to me is amazing considering it's Second hand. Once you get used to it, it's really easy. Make some wanted lists, and I have found that if I am looking for a certain piece, I go to Peeron to get the part number. Way easier to find what you are looking for. If you need any help with BL, just drop me a line.
