    I probably won't add to all of them. PS and GE just seemed, at least to me, as the most obvious candidates for expansion. I think that a floor or two could be added to the CC, but that would have to be via bricklink as the cost of buying CC whole is too cost prohibitive.

    Thanks for the ideas, folks. I think I'll probably go with simply connecting the second GE to the first to form 'the end of the block'. I have a MOC that's based on the Haunted house. It's on a 32 plate. If I modify the second copy of PS that I have, and when the Parisian Cafe comes out, I'll almost have a full city block, both sides. I'm also working on a green space, buying the spring and fall themes that are only 70 some pieces each but together will make a nice park/green space area.

    Here's an idea. Maybe good, maybe bad, maybe just plain stupid. Anyway, I'm in the process of buying my second copy of all of the modular buildings that are still available. I think that some of them could reasonably be twice as big as they are. The Grand Emporium, for starters. I think that there should be a plan ( for simple, non creative people like me) that would show an alternative build that would combine two sets. The Lego designer of the Grand Emporium would certainly know ( or lat least have a good idea) of the best way to combine two sets to build a larger GE. This plan could be available on line exclusively at Lego.com. No printed instructions, so not cost for that. It wouldn't cost much and would encourage additional sales of modular sets. Seems like a win-win situation. As for me, my second Grand Emporium arrives tomorrow. I'll probably just combine it with the first one so that it takes up the entire end of one block. Your thoughts????

    Very, very nice. Fantastic interior detail. The outside also has a lot of character.....not just a shoe box stood on its end (like so many MOC plans that I see on ebay). If modified for compatibility with the Lego series of modular buildings, it would be a great addition to anyones modular city.

    Got the email. Double points. May be time to buy the Death Star, even if I'm not a Star Wars fan. Don't dislike, just not into it. At least not like in 1977 when I waited in line to see the first SW movie. I'm buying 'seconds' on modular buildings. Already got duplicates of PS and GE. Maybe time to double up on FB and TH.

    Well, if you sell to many different individuals, then you can generally avoid losing everything in a big scam. Documentation is they key, if you can document that you've done everything and have proofs of delivery, then you generally are in good shape. I think your big decision is selling it as one big lot---- making things easy for your self ------or selling it off in pieces and probably getting more money when all is said and done. What ever you do, don't allow someone to cherry pick the collection unless they pay what you feel is a good premium for the items.

    I really didn't know anything about Lego until I was 58 years old. My wife bought me the Architecture set 'Fallingwater' and the obsession was on. I think my dark age will start when they lower me into the ground. :-)

    eBay is the best place to sell. You have a wider audience. But, you must be prepared to make a good presentation in your auction. Good pictures, descriptive text advising the potential buyer of any wear, defects, missing pieces, etc. Be prepared to deal with the public in all of its glory. I never like selling large lots. While it seems like its easier, you are usually giving a discount by selling as a lot and the shipping can pose more problems. Just my thoughts. I sold on ebay for about ten years but got tired of the hassle. With that said, it still gives you the widest audience and that usually equals a higher price.

    Well I don't disagree, I think we are on the same page. Lego took a building with a very unusual shape, lots of curves and angles, and somehow made it an easy build. As far as putting it together, well it didn't require me to be an expert builder by any stretch of the imagination. However, to make the build so stress free and easy took a lot of skill by those at Lego who designed this offering and took what have could been a very difficult build and made it a simple one ------ even for someone like me.

    Here's something I don't understand. I've read some reviews around the Internet that describe this as a challenging/difficult build. I just don't get it. Compared to the Eiffel Tower, Tower Bridge, Taj Mahal and several other large sets that I've built, I didn't find SOH to be difficult. I thought it was easy, thanks in large part to the well thought out design of the 'shells' and how they attached to the building. I mean, the SOH was, as we say, a day at the beach. It took a while to build, looks great when completed but, challenging? No, not a bit. Your thoughts?

    Thanks, that's what I thought it might be as far as a reference point are concerned. Now, I just would like to know what makes a certain place a reference point when it doesn't appear to hold any significance, at least to me. For all I know, it could mark the center of gravity. :-) Probably one of life's little mysteries that will never be answered.

    Question.... There is one 1 x 2 orange and one 1 x 2 green brick in the SOH. They go under the shells and are not visible once the SOH is completed. Why? To mark reference points? I'm relatively new at this, so thanks for your patience.

    Given the number of items they ship, Amazon has a very good track record on getting things where they're going in good condition. The Amazon stock price reflects that they are doing things right. If they make a mistake, they fix it without a big hassle. I order everything that I can from them. A new 42 inch tv, printer cartridges, Lego Tower Bridge, etc, etc. Amazon is a good company. Sorry for your bad experience, but its far from being representative of the Amazon experience. One example of their customer service. I called them at 420 PM on a Friday and reported that my kindle had been damaged. I had a warranty. By the next morning at 1030 am, I had a new Kindle delivered to my house. Friday at 420 PM to Saturday at 1030am. That's Amazon!

    Edited....I fell for the April Fools joke Would be nice to work for the NSA, we could find out EVERYTHING we wanted to know about Lego's future plans. :-)
