As JayWalker said... those are literally all things that we have been talking about for pages and pages now. :P

Many people in the Lego fandom (and some people in the Lego company too, apparently?) don't consider constraction (Bionicle specifically) to be "real Lego" and hate it for that reason (which is clearly BS).

Uh yeah, that's what we've all been talking about. Thank you! It's really nice to see people who - even if they don't like a theme - don't outright bash it. Like almost every non-constraction-fan on Brickset. I'll let Jak speak for me

Aside from the obvious literal interpretation, I always took that like the phrase "[something] builds character"

yo, can we not have a 4chan debate thank you <3 I predict LOSS's abdomen thing will have a function that spring-launches the smaller skull spiders. I'm not saying that everyone likes it, either. That'd be hypocritical of me. I was simply saying that there are mixed opinions.Again, I was trying to tell you that I personally thought that it still fit the feel of the story, which you disagreed with even though we both thought that it made sense. :P Why didn't they use their powers? Well, most obviously, they weren't accustomed to using their powers - they didn't really even know how to use their powers. And in most situations, they didn't even need to use their powers. Like I said, they were used to using weapons - they were better at that, they had no elemental power experience. This is backed up by the fact that, later on, they did use their powers quite a bit (in 2007, and in the 2008-2010 serials), because by that point, they knew what they were doing.

Please stop speaking on behalf of everyone.I for one quite enjoyed the tone of that year. The characters who we saw transformed into the Toa Inika were already competent soldiers, inventors, athletes, et cetera as Matoran. They were used to defending themselves with weapons, not powers - and they continued to do so. (Plus, their powers were used when it counted, if not as frequently as some people might've liked - Matoro froze the chamber to knock out Umbra, for example.)

I don't think it was meant as a joke, LN. May have been humorous, but it is a legitimate proposal. And no, the HF universe is confirmed to be totally separate from the Bionicle universe.

Everybody keeps complaining about how the Fire Protector has no knees. I just realized that it does - it just has really short upper legs. (Shortest existing HF bone.) Doesn't change much but I thought I'd point it out.

Literal treespeak. Yep, that's been established. While I agree that the addition of non-CCBS parts has the potential to vastly improve a MOC, I disagree that the CCBS on its own is inherently bad.

Just read through the entire comment section of that Brickset post. Ugh. Although I totally expect it by this point, it frustrates me to no end to see everyone saying how they think Bionicle is a useless and boring theme appealing only to non-AFOLs.

That's not an attempt at tricking people (even if it did confuse you) - it's clearly a joke. He posted an image of a commonly known knockoff set, Sea Star by Blocko. ;)

A clamorous boob. Thank you, Twist. I'm going to have to use that one. If I didn't know better, I'd think that they meant that to be found. If they really wanted to keep it a secret they could call it basically anything else.

What if they attach like the Piraka heads did - with an axle through the sides? It could be "capped" on either side by the earmuff-type thing that Roly and DV mentioned.

Kopaka's leg armor's color layering is indeed questionable. And speaking of armor layering - I'm disappointed to see none of the new Chima armor add-on part used in these preliminaries.

I actually really liked the latter years. When I was younger, I always looked at the Bionicle story and saw that despite the primitive and tribal influences, there was something of a sci-fi epic hidden beneath - and as the story progressed, more and more of that was revealed. It hit me most in 2008; the Toa Mata / Nuva had previously been depicted only in a primitive environment, and it was amazing to see them thrust almost unwillingly into a high-stakes futuristic setting with vastly powerful enemies (who were secretly trying not to kill the Nuva the entire time).Even if they change the story up entirely - get rid of the GSR, the GBs, Spherus Magna, all that - I want to see a similar change. I was talking a few pages ago about how I'd want to see "primitive" or simple elements (fire, air, stone, etc.) in a tribal setting, contrasted later on with "complex" elements (magnetism, psionics, sonics, etc.) in a more futuristic setting, preferably one which was revealed to have been (literally) hidden beneath the tribalesque appearance the whole time (which is why I liked the GSR concept so much - I won't mind if it's not included in a reboot, but it is a damn good way to get that contrast of hi-tech hidden behind a simple, primitive facade).

I wouldn't lump everyone together - I am by no means an oh-wunner but I'm hoping for a reboot. :P
