  1. So... yeah, scratch-build it. ;)
  2. Hm. I actually like the first (thinner) version better. That's just me though.
  3. Entry #2: Dicalian Main image Full gallery Dicalian is a member of Brutaka's species who was sent to Metru Nui as a representative. He decided to hold out in the city during the Visorak invasion, but was overrun due to his own overconfidence. Like all members of his species, Dicalian possesses a natural resistance to poisonous and mutagenic agents, and so he was not fully transformed by the venom of the spiders. Instead, the consular gained sharpened claws and a wicked spine, lengthened arms, and a bizarrely warped and fused Kanohi Suletu, which can no longer be removed from his face. Unlike Brutaka, who was more of an educated scholar and thus preferred his two-armed appearance when out of battle, the mutated Dicalian has no need to hide his secondary limbs, although they can be retracted if necessary. Along with his society's propensity for using brute force weapons in accordance with their massive strength, Dicalian wields a massive jagged meteor hammer or flail-like weapon. (I guess I really like building mutated villains or something, idk) Entry #3: Rurmuax Main image Full gallery Rurmuax was a Makuta who watched over one of the Southern Islands long before the Great Cataclysm. At a certain point a while before Teridax's takeover of the Brotherhood, Rurmuax was hunted down by a group of Toa. One of the Toa spotted the Makuta and wildly activated his Zatth, but unluckily for all involved, the nearest Rahi were a large troop of Visorak, which the summoning Toa could not control. The Toa were all killed by the Visorak, but Rurmuax was stunned before he could use any of his powers, and subsequently captured. He was mutated and unable to shapeshift, and although he did retain many of his original powers, they were greatly limited. Additionally, Rurmuax's sanity degraded quite rapidly. He was last known to be aimlessly roaming the Southern Islands.
  4. Entry #1: Zistiam Main image Full gallery A member of Axonn's species, Zistiam naturally possesses abilities including healing and immense strength. However, after a confusingly meta experiment in which he fused the Spear of Fusion to himself, Zistiam gained fusion and fission powers. The red spikes on his back, which resemble the Spear of Fusion's blade, glow when these powers are activated. Being combined with an inanimate object had drawbacks, however: it rendered Zistiam blind and mute, so he wears an Arthron, Mask of Sonar, in the shape of a single plate of armor.
  5. I suspect it'll be left ambiguous, at least for a while.
  6. Ulewatron, Master of Genocidal Robots
  7. Eh, I dunno. This contest feels too large to have seven repeats. :P
  8. I, for one, am still very much in the pre-build planning stage.
  9. If cracked sockets were illegal, how would we ever build snazzy Tuma revamps?
  10. Probably those - or, if not, just balljoints and pins.
  11. I do wonder how the implications of the new contest will affect the story. I severely doubt that an upcoming villain's appearance will be decided by a contest among fans, but I would not be surprised if the winning entry ended up as a shapeshifted body for the MOUP, or something to that effect.
  12. Nah, I do that already
  13. Possibly multiple causes.
  14. I wonder if that means that they do have significance that they can't reveal yet, or if they don't but they don't have an answer anyways
  15. I hope so. Maybe even in a different color from the other three we've seen? @Jay - Chimaninja was referring to 2016; we've definitely seen that the Mask of Creation is the solid focus of 2015. I think it's possible, but unlikely, that the Mask of Control would receive the same emphasis.
  16. I don't think they'd be out this early - maybe soon(ish) though. I recall Front (or someone from NYCC) saying that they'll need to rework the mask mold slightly, and I don't imagine they'd've shipped out a large quantity of sets so early if there was an issue like that still unfixed.
  17. I have removed your horrid link and replaced it with a far better one; I hope you don't mind
  18. I don't think this is going anywhere good... But it is an interesting point that we've received no indication of gender (or any personality at all, outside of "elder, leader" etc.) for the Protectors
  19. Hahli x Hewkii is a new one... I've heard plenty of Macku x Hewkii and Hahli x Jaller
  20. No no no, Dorek. The golden masks are "Golden Mask of [Element]"... clearly a significant difference.
  21. "Onua, you've caused confusion and delay"
  22. I personally preferred the style of the earlier Bionicle movies - where they were stylized, yet still recognizable - over the TLR style, where we basically just saw the sets animated. I hope that they stick with the new animation style for all media (outside of commercials etc.) in coming years.
  23. They weren't sold in one set, they were just advertised together (if that's what you meant).
