asdfghjkl Cholie has some Toyfair pics and I want to share them with you all because they're amaaaaaazing but they're not all uploaded yet.
-
Lol, thank BZP, not me. BS01/HS01 has yet to put up their pics (another factor, I think, in BZP making the rush to get their pics up... so you're welcome?) But yeah, all of them use the old style launcher, but with axle holes instead of pin holes. It could be a compromise between the Breakout launcher bits and their predecessors, or could just be prototypic. Stormer with stickers, eh? I could get in on that. Would be easier than printing, I suppose, given how the parts are a lot smoother...

http://bzpower.com/galimage.php?galimage=/Imaging/stories//Toy_Fair_2012/TF12_HF_19.jpg (in a massive departure from tradition, BZP posted HF coverage FIRST; they must really want to stay on our good sides =P) It's a relatively cool looking face.

Yeah, but Ackar was red. Ladies love the red. Core Hunter, on the other hand, is the most boring of all colors: Black. But yeah, I actually like XT4's pose in this toyfair (not so much anywhere else), so I have high hopes for him.
-
I actually like XT4, dunno why he's getting a bad rep when the horribly generic Core Hunter is getting the love, but ah well. The new torso piece he has makes me excited, and I think he'll just be a quirky set that will eventually endear himself to people. (also he was built with his Hero Core lawl)
-
By that logic, Furno originally had a silver torso, and is thusly no longer consistent. It's good to see his original color scheme to show up, yeah, but I'm starting to think he would have benefited from an orange torso.
-
It looked more like his front limb was on a mid piece, as appears on the torso or that Waspix/Toxic Reapa page, but it really might just be two ball joints. That's sad day.
-
XT4... is asymmetrical in the way his limbs are used? That's... weird, but refreshingly inventive. Core Hunter is generic as ever, but the well laid color scheme and parts recolors are his saving grace.
-
Maybe they'll actually address it, like Evo's gunmetal parts. Then again, maybe not. However, this makes me realize that none of the summer Heroes (except for Stormer, kinda, and since it's a different piece, doesn't really count) have their primary color as their chest plate color; Nex is white, Bulk Gunmetal and Stringer trans blue.
-
They actually can hold the cuffs with weapons, still (at least, Surge can), and I imagine Breez could. It's a little tricky to angle it, but doable. However, Nex tragically does not have a hand joint, it seems. It'll be easy to replace that, but still. Kinda sad. Edit: Also, is Bulk's torso gunmetal? Looks like it to me.
-
It's not; compare it to his own shoulder pads, and you can see the color disparity. It's just because the helmet has a glossy finish to it.

Most recent issue of the LEGO mag indicated that the club section would be home to short stories about HF at some point. Hasn't happened yet, obviously. Basically this. As an entire story manager, Greg was kinda iffy, but when it got down to writing the serials and books, the work was top notch. Even some of the Hero Factory comics have been great in the dialogue department (even if the most recent one sucked). But I digress. Speeda effing Demon. Summer will be expensive... but worth it. That combiner is freaking amazing, too, I wish they had storyline relevance XP. I'm still not getting the love about Core Hunter. The head is actually really cool, and a black MTIS is nice, but the build is just so generic, as is weapon and overall feeling of it. I do appreciate the black new mold Hero Chest, which is what it looks like he has. Bulk is just nice all around. Voltix and Stringer look great, as we thought. I'm still undecided on XT4, but I'll chance it; I think it really is just the terrible posing, but we'll see. Nex is aight.
-
Well, the Young Readers are like, 20 pages each, so this is probably a bit more like that XP (though a full-on graphic novel would be winsauce as well). Anyway, this whole book thing sounds pretty fun. I wonder if this is in relation to those "short stories" we were promised earlier this year? I wouldn't say he "made" the story for any of those lines; he had a fairly big hand in them, some moreso than others. BIONICLE was probably the biggest one. I didn't even know he had anything to do with Atlantis, since there wasn't much story there in the first place. Regardless, he hasn't had much to do with Hero Factory; thus far, it's just been adapting the comics from the TV episodes (as mentioned, they aren't really supposed to be anything more than that, although Comic 8 is giving me pause), and now this book of sorts. The helmet looks plenty different enough for me.

Eh, this meme kinda selfdestructed from its original purpose.
-
As long as they keep updating PAB, and continue to develop the story aspects of Recon Team, I can take this as an acceptable loss. There's still one or two more heroes I'd like to order before it dies completely, but at least they're not abandoning it fully. It is a real shame, though.
-
Oh, he will. His life depends on it :)
-
Me toooooooo. Can't wait to get better pictures of the bike. I hope he's at toyfair.
-
He could mean that XT4 is a swarm villain, like Thornraxx is, to a degree. Or he could mean that he's chock-full of useful parts. I'll definitely be picking one up, at least.

http://hf.biosector01.com/wiki/Breakout! found and uploaded by Aanch. He's trying to turn Evo into a meme. It's actually really funny, even if it's only a joke to people who know HF. I still think Bulk and Stringer should have their sizes switched. Bulk just seems like he would work better compact (look at Surge; he's great as a small set, as is Evo). Being lanky doesn't really suit him.
-
The Black Phantom there only has half a mace, for instance XP. But yeah, some good pics. Nex looks a little more redeemable, but that white chest plate is eh... Either way, some good sets to be had.
-
Oh god yes. Blue and yellow/orange (especially keetorange) is my most favorite color scheme ever.
-
When'd that happen? Inika. Durr. It's been a while since we've seen them, though. However, since they like them for armor pieces, I can definitely see a resurgence.
-
Some good looking stuff in all this. Loving Stringer's blue, though his height will probably bother me at some point. Looks like a pattern on his (oh so gloriously trans-blue) chest, so good times. A bit hard to tell anything else, but ah well. Stormer's bluer swords are a good touch, they weren't even like that on Batman. Voltix is looking pretty pimp (it's a joke, get it?), much more cohesive with the colors than previous designs would have indicated; red, purple, and gunmetal, with yellow accents for his weapons and such. Who knew those four colors could come together so nicely? (that trans blue tubing is great, too)
-
It all depends on how they're going to do it, really. We have two sizes of Hero (not to mention the smaller torso being used) so it all depends on how they're going to structure this; they could easily ignore the second size Hero, but I'd like some kind of acknowledgement of it. I don't think they'll remove any elements just yet, since they didn't do it for 2.0.

It's the same way at my Target; I'm glad I bought mine online =P
