  1. Same reason American TRU's gave away copies of Makuta's Guide with purchase of 2009 BIONICLE sets, and other TRU's didn't; localized promotions. Happens all the time. Usually on a less global scale, but still.
  2. Yes, I read the google translation =P. I like how it's first translated to "suite" for some weird reason. But yeah, still would like to know.
  3. Unlikely. I think most of OoF was meant to resolve that particularly lingering plot thread. I doubt it will come up here. There's always the potential, if they really need the story idea, but it can just as easily be called "resolved", and left alone.
  4. Do we have any Russian fans of Hero Factory here? I ran across this site that's offering some kind of nifty extra package with purchases of 2012 sets. It sounds like it's just an extra pair of handcuffs and some Hex Energy Shield plates, but I could be wrong; I'd like to know a bit more about it.
  5. >Announced that I was part of the squad before I was a regular here. Lol. Anyway, pretty much. We can still debate suggestions and stuff, and reject things we know can't be canon, but if there's something that would pass the selection criteria, then it would be a while before Greg could look at it.
  6. He did the same thing in Comic 4, on the cover; just a particular style he liked better, I guess. I'm sure not complaining.
  7. Yes, 2011 is over, but it's not too late for some belated 2011 goodies. As per a request by the HS01/BS01 staff, Carlos D'Anda showed us these textless pages of the promotional comic that Europeans got: Page 1 (can't believe I never noticed Nitroblast there in the corner... he was mostly obscured by text boxes, but still) Page 2 (Stormer looks like he's about to open a can of whoopass) Big thanks to D'Anda for revealing these; his art style is just brilliant.
  8. Lol, did nobody link to that? I've had that for ages, since they made it the background of their youtube channel. It is a spiffy image, for sure.
  9. Drat, I thought I was being original when I came up with a terrifyingly similar hand design =P. Synchronicity, or something of the like. Very nice set overall; it's good to see what BIONICLE could have developed into with the new style. I do feel like the feet could have been the old Mata feet, or something, it sort of loses the individuality when you start from the bottom up. The shoulders also look a little gappy, but the fact that the armor can move is a big plus. The neck also feels a bit exposed, but that could just be the angle. A very fun MoC.
  10. I do note that the LDD update features a size three trans-light blue armor piece; wonder what that's all about?
  11. It's creations like this that really show off the versatile capabilities of the new building system. BIONICLE really trapped us in limited joint stylings, but this has just given us so much creative freedom. Amazing model. Great job keeping in tune with Splitface's dual aesthetic. The thighs look a little weird without any particular armoring on them, though. The feet are brilliant; never would have thought to use 1.0 stylings translated into 2.0 feet like that, but it works. The arms seem a little lanky with the extra joint, but I guess it might be hard to move them around otherwise. On the whole, a very interesting and well-laid out MoC. Also, I don't recall seeing that blade come in gunmetal anywhere; a sign of things to come, or are you just exercising designer privileges? =P Edit: Nevermind, Rattlecopter. I need to get me some of that.
  12. You are the king of enigmatic statements, good sir. I'm going to interpret your question as meaning that we'll see new ones; I have no idea where, though, or what they'll look like. Any hints? :P
  13. Looks silver on Core Hunter as well.
  14. There's no Bohrok headplate, at least none that I can see. It's the new wing/armor piece on Stormer.
  15. I'm not really getting all the Core Hunter love. He seems decent enough, but generic, from what I can tell. The awesome bugeyed helmet seems to be the real unique factor, and even then, nobody could tell that from the previous prelim pics.
  16. I doubt the new joint structure, but a new color wouldn't be unwelcome. Anyhow, I hope Stormer comes with an extra pair of cuffs. Speeda Demon has four hands.
  17. Speeda Demon is officially my favorite <3 New BP head mold color, PURPLE BIKE, not to mention the use of the gold ninjago weapons... yeah, everything about him kicks megablocks. Summer is gonna rock.
  18. Not to mention adding back armor (except now that actually exists, but still, legs). Anyway, the switch is a possible reason. Maybe they had always intended to put the Stringer/Voltix pairing in from the beginning, as a teaser/bridge, and just had to cut Breez and Thornraxx along the way. Who knows?
  19. Haven't tried the game yet, but I will soon. The rest of the website update is pretty damn cool. All those weapons updates are soooo great.
  20. So the second Breakout comic is out. Not my favorite. It's nice to have a single story drag out and give a chance to showcase the beautiful art, but the dialogue was just as cheesy as indicated, and the moral is kind of dumb. Funny ending, though. And it WAS written by Greg, so... I dunno. Mixed feelings.
  21. Mmm, true, didn't see that Witch Doctor was marked up that much as well. This site is worse than TRU XP. I'm still down for vehicle.
  22. Toxic Reapa, man XP. Dude dude SNOWMOBILE. It should happen. 15 bucks more than Stormer, eh? That's definitely a vehicle. Looking forward to it; Hero Factory has a good track record of vehicles, and the new building style will make things very interesting.
  23. That is pretty sweet. Hopefully they actually update it with 2012 stuff, too. Haha, all valid points, but I still think he works overall. I love the plane things on his arms, and the legs may be a bit hollow, but most of them are.
  24. Huh. Weird. Maybe some issue with a part that they caught right before shipment? It's happened before, though usually after the fact. The omission from the TV episode, however, is probably the weirder thing; maybe the two incidents are entirely unrelated XP. And yeah, Splitface is pretty great. Once I've picked up everything else, I'll probably want a second (or thiiiiird?). These bags are pretty big, though, I was surprised.
  25. So, built Surge and Splitface. Surge is pretty generic, but his color scheme is less chaotic than I would have figured. And dat recolor <3 Splitface is baller. The only issue I have with him is the neck. With the axle joint, it allows for neck movement, but is too long overall. Replacing it with a ball only socket makes it look a bit better, but limits the neck movement too much. Ah well. The rest of him is aweeesome. The face pieces are too cool. A bit smaller than the art made him look, but still of a good size. Good to see they included a Hero Core too.
