  1. Funny? Yes. Surprising? Not so much. It happens every year. People make judgments about things that they can't possibly know about; just a general fact of life. My previous opinions about the sets still hold, but the flip-up visor idea definitely adds a cool factor.
  2. >his helmet visor opens AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA yessssss Sounds like the villains themselves weren't actually "characters" so to speak, until animated by the brain slugs.
  3. I sincerely hope we don't end up with Inika-esque heads again. I'm interested to see what the new design will be (I did like the Glatorian head, but I'm always open to new designs, provided they have functionality), but if it's straight no-piece clip on, well... I think we can do better.
  4. Could be like the Mahri masks/visors, with the Glatorian head inverted.
  5. I love how the picture is Drilldozer, of all things. He jelly.
  6. I dunno, the Breakout sets were pretty uniform, what with the launchers and Hero Cuffs and all. I think the problem is an emphasis on metallic colors again, as was occasionally an issue with BIONICLE. Although we do get some new colors introduced, they're primarily dark in nature, which is a definite shift away from the bright colors we're used to seeing in HF, even in the villains.
  7. I'd like to collect all the Breakout sets, but that requires money that I don't actually have.
  8. Technically "Metru brown" (dark flesh) hasn't made a comeback... and I think we can all be grateful for that :)
  9. For some reason I was assuming brain attack would last a whole year, but now that you mention it, there's really no reason it has to. Would be an interesting way of dividing things up; first we're given whole teams, then we get individual missions, now maybe we get a year where the team is split in two, a la 2008.
  10. I dunno, I wouldn't put it out of the question. They love their projectiles, and don't forget Furno's MTIS. The entire description had it as an ice weapon, but then for the TV shows, they gave it the additional ability to SHOOT FIRE just for the heck of it.
  11. I'd love the flip-up idea. Imagine how cool that would be.
  12. I don't mind Bulk's "nose" particularly. The helmet is actually probably the most redeeming feature of the set =P.
  13. Yeah, the Hero isn't particularly inspiring. The Villain is more interesting.
  14. From the LEGO mag a while back. Instructions and most information here. Just a one-off magazine thing.
  15. Oh, the combiner. Yeah, I don't see them doing much with that guy. It'd be nice to see some web series feature him, or something, but I'm not holding my breath.
  16. Was it said anywhere that we would get a tenth one?
  17. Maybe there never was one, and it was all a hoax.
  18. I believe they are, same as Scarox's "fangs".
  19. I'm talking about face only. The way I saw it, the helmet looked like a barely modified copy of Waspix's, although closer examination reveals it to be much more awesome. Scarox and Waspix are both four armed, but that's the only resemblance I see between them. Voltix's color scheme was inconsistent, but well layered. I suppose Pyrox has the opposite problem; the colors all match, but there's no real attempt to make them match well. Pyrox's weapon is aight, but much like Bulk's, it doesn't feel fleshed out enough. Just seems like a gimpy copy of the Roodaka/Keetongu weapon, minus the functionality. The whole thing might feel a bit more put-together in different angles, or maybe Pyrox just has a really awesome face and not much else.[/b]
  20. If you picture Pyrox without the light red part of his jaw, it looks way more like Waspix than Scarox does. I don't get the connection between those two; can't see it at all. But yeah, he's still not good. Silly weapon, inconsistent color scheme, etc. I'm just saying that he went up in coolness point because the face/mask is actually really awesome. I'd love to use it on something else. Scarox isn't great either, but gets points for being gold.
  21. I just realized that Pyrox actually has a lower jaw, instead of being a Waspix ripoff. I like him much better now.
  22. I just hope that the Heroes themselves come with brain slugs, like the villains this year had hero cores.
  23. Not to mention that they took peoples raves about Stringer's trans cladding seriously.
  24. Lol, I was going to comment, but forgot to. Definitely dig Rocka's sword. I like the Rocka set overall because it's very simple and streamlined. Takes the best parts of the smaller Hero sets from previous waves and uses them, but with a poseable, fun set. Also with a freaking awesome sword. Shield probably could have done without the spikes, but hey, he's Rocka. He wants spikes, he gets spikes.
  25. I was fairly underwhelmed with the Heroes, I gotta say. Breez was probably the best (no thanks to a SILVER HELMET), but some of the villains are pretty neat. Ogrum is a must buy because not only does he have the best design (and name), but he also has green and brown. GREEN AND BROWN. Scarox does gold well enough, but the design looks to be so-so. I really hope the brain slugs can attach to the Heroes (looks like they still use Glatorian heads), because that would just clinch it.
