  1. Nice, good new shots. I think the ice villain will be pretty cool, so I might give him a try. Will probably wait for the review on that one. Interesting to see how Pyrox wields his weapon; it's not a drill, like Bulk's, but a flamethrower. It's amusing to see what no real story constraints can do, but I miss the old site >:
  2. Haha, I'm super stoked for the large HF sets, but also the Chima constraction. Not too far away now.
  3. Not that there is much discussion, but I agree. Anyhow, I dreamed that there were hi-res pics of the new sets. I haven't had a LEGO-related dream in a good long while. How odd. Who's stoked for toyfair?
  4. Dunno about Breez, but I've heard good things; Ogrum is definitely a good choice. I was thinking about getting Breez too, but I'm still on the fence (also out of money).
  5. Yup, beginning of February usually. So, another month.
  6. Wave 1 pics came considerably later this year, and the Wave 2 pics were a fluke. We'll get good Wave 2 stuff come toyfair.
  7. True, but much like Hero Factory, there's rarely a brand new design that they had no intention of using; the character models would be recycled from existing ones available, and just mixed and recolored. I'd say bears are just as likely as rhinos at this point.
  8. Breakout was in April, so assuming we'll only have one episode, I'd say around the same time. It's only been 2013 for 11 days, give it a bit =P. I'd check the rest of the information before making that leap...
  9. Encountered the same problem with the newer blades as well, but again, easy to adjust into place.
  10. Indeed he is. The shoulder armor is a bit weird, and his lower torso seems a bit bare in comparison to the upper, but the weapons are super cool, and the overall design is sweet.
  11. Scumbag LEGO store: told me to come back in a week... is under renovations until spring. On the plus side, all Target had in the way of 2013 sets was Furno XL. So I got him. Wheeeeee.
  12. Yeah, I had this problem with Stormer XL, but it wasn't an issue to just re-align it a bit. And it's not particularly noticeable on Breez or BP.
  13. There's the wayback machine, but they haven't archived anything from 2012 yet, unfortunately.
  14. Yeah, I'm not particularly enthused with the site. No story info makes me pretty sad.
  15. Interesting new site; very different, in your face style. Not a huge fan of it, but I'm just happy with any update, and I hope that they rotate the main guys out with a frequent enough basis. Edit: No story information? Really? That's extraordinarily disappointing.
  16. It's pretty easy to twist them into a non-obtrusive position. Anyhow, cool looking spirit animals. Hopefully we get some pics of the other guys soon.
  17. Compared to the previous incarnation, where he is both bulky and a fantastic rendition with good homages to the original, it's not surprising that the new version is getting some hate. I'm pretty torn on which one to go for; I think I'll wait for some Breakout sales.
  18. I can't remember if anybody has asked this, but can you fit on new Hero helmets AND brain slugs? (sans visor, of course) It'd be neat.
  19. Well... this place got negative quickly.
  20. Well, we have no way of knowing what a VN set would look like at this point. I can only hope it would use the same mask, but who knows? Remains to be seen. Maybe we're just desperately hoping for a resolution to that particular story and seeing signs where they aren't.
  21. Well, the brains did come in pods, so it remains to be seen how those factor into it, but I have a hard time believing that all of those beings are on the same asteroid (yup, Makuhero City is on an asteroid; fact!). It would be an unamusing retcon. But yeah, Dragon Bolt. Soooooo sexy. Looking forward to that.
  22. Pretty sure Furno's bike was explicitly his and nobody else's, but that's okay. Anybody know if they plan on updating PAB anytime soon? Gonna need a few extra heads, at least.
  23. Yeah, Summer's looking to be a bit better than winter, fo sho. Dragon Bolt looks absolutely fantastic, and looks to redeem their large-beast building abilities. Aquagon looks cool, but I'm a sucker for aquatic themes, so we'll see how that goes. Definitely saving up for the big sets.
  24. "Pyrox is good, but he would be better as a large set" was my first thought before I realized the truth two seconds later. So yeah, he's aight, but could definitely be better, and would have made a good small set. Mostly better for parts, and that mask. Ogrum, on the other hand, is amazing. Nails the creepy, possessed look, has a good motif that he keeps consistently, and is the appropriate size for the larger sets. Only complaint for him is that he could have used some 5L shells as opposed to 3 or 4, but it's a minor quibble. Also maybe a wider torso, but I think I'll need to make a parts order soon enough anyway. I actually went for Furno XL, but they were fresh out, so I'll need to check back sometime.
  25. I think Hero Factory has proven that they're not adverse to creating new character designs without necessarily needing a corresponding set; this was always a peeve of BIONICLE's, but not so much with HF, so I imagine that they'll have representations that are "buildable" but not buyable.
