Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Agreed. 100% It'd be really cool to see at least Arial out of that list. I really don't care about Mickey Mouse or Pooh. Edit: Oh, yes that's totally fake. ~Insectoid Aristocrat- 4,155 replies

I think Aaron is supposed to be evocative of the word "Arrow" but it's not quite as obvious as all of the others. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

I think it was planned that way. It was just a "cover the basics" type deal like the current Pirates wave (although the current pirates wave is superior in my opinion.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat

And yeah, I agree. Probably best to steer away from the discussion of "who's worse off than whom?" Because someone is bound to step on someone's toes. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Boo! Disagree! Castle gets pretty regular new themes, TBH. Not only was the most recent Castle theme released more recently than the last space theme (by less than a year, granted) but also, Castle has had LotR very recently. Also Elves is freaking great for everything other than minifigures, disappointment aside. I can hear the argument for star wars being a space theme, but it's not. It's Star Wars. It even has its own forum. Now, you are right that this theme has a myriad of useful Space parts, but seriously, it's even less a space theme than it is a castle theme. Also worth mentioning that Space had a very long Hiatus during which Castle still had sets. Now, if you really want to point at a group of AFOLs who are really getting under serviced, the Pirates theme had a longer hiatus than the space themes! Now, it may also be worth mentioning, that while Pirates and Castle are almost always consistent in compatability, Space reinvents itself every reiteration. Some space themes are planet specific (MM) or Earth based (AC) or awful because they appropriate Insectoids' gimmick and are therefor awful regardless of actual quality of the sets (GS). ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Exo-suit. Hands down. It's affordable, complex, aesthetically pleasing, and (neo) classic. I own 2 and hope to acquire more. Flawless design. Following the Exo suit is Wall-E and the Research Institute. I missed out on the institute, due to that coming out at a bad time for me financially and circumstantially, but I voted for it, and I am a huge proponent of Gender equality in real life and in my Lego sets! I'm even more pleased that they didn't even draw too much attention that the institute was exclusively female. Not only is the feminist in me happy with the set, though, but so is the wannabe scientist! As a Biology Major, I love scientist figures! And the paleontologist appeals to my dino-loving brother! I know my organic chemistry professor has a set of this, and she doesn't even particularly care for Lego. Wall-E was a beautiful film. I may get this guy this week for my brother, who agrees with me. The model looks excellent! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

A more advanced form of the list guessing game! The "minifigure analysis" guessing game! So abstract! My head hurts just thinking about that being the case. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Oh man! Super bummer! good thing they said they would have more though. My Lego store seems to run on a "when we're out, we're out." Policy. I'm going to check to see if they still have the good loot today, and I will likely give it a good stacking this time to get the most bang for my buck. It's a very good piece assortment, and a very good time to buy, due to the overlap of Lego's Double VIP points, and the Christmas promotion. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

LDD beginner help
Dannylonglegs replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Sorry tof ask for help again, but I find that LDD keeps crashing on me. I likely didn't have more than 200 bricks on the board when it first crashed. Is this a problem I can fix? Or is my computer at fault, do you think? As you might be able to tell from my current title, I'm no stranger to computer problems... ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

Lego Ninjago 2016
Dannylonglegs replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I was under the impression that Death is Cheap in Ninjago. Did you really expect Garmadon (a main character) to actually die? I mean, Pythor didn't even though he was apparently eaten by a giant snake who's whole purpose is to eat stuff forever. Or at least that's my understanding from my wiki-walks. Also, when did the soft reboot start? I was under the impression the continuity has always been the same?... Here's to hoping it actually is Evil!Garmadon, so I can get my hands on his Kabuki Mask face finally! ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

A lot of typos too. Thanks! I know a lot of people find inter-galactic politics and trade disputes boring, but I quite like 'em! Especially when diplomacy fails. Thanks! I had fun with it! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Bested at my own game, it would seem. You really made the grayd. I will accept my defeat with Grayce. Still doesn't mean I care about the colour of the packaging I'm going to throw away mere seconds after I pull out my Lego Mulan minifigure! Lego could make them a dull brown or dark tan, and I'd still army build a Mulan minifig. ~Insectoid Aristocrat- 4,155 replies
