  1. Because Hinckley. That is why. Oooh! This is such a cool new sub-forum! I was wondering why Heroica didn't have one earlier! Now the Mafia Forum is much more organized and such! Thanks a bunch! And the banner really is impressive. I love that background greenery! What is that? A colour-altered cloud? An actual forest? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. Oh my god! That's amazing! Very well done! The monster is quite terrifying. The room reminds me of the Doctor Who episode Night Terrors. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. Grrrrrr! Bark! Bark! Yiff!
  4. "Ok, now I'm going to heal myself." grumbled Sylph as he called upon the forces of the earth to nurture him. "Order up! On Shadeaux; on, Johon; on, Sabah; on, Blitzen! And by Blitzen, I mean me." He called sarcastically as he focused on his healing. If it's not clear, Order: Dak, Johon, Sabah, Sylph
  5. Gotcha, sorry about that. Your stategy is good. Order: Dak, Sylph, Nur, Johon
  6. I was going to comment on that. Yes, the library doesn't have an auto-spell-check. I'll have use an external one. My spelling really is atrocious. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  7. I just got confirmation from the shipping company that my computer will actually arrive on Thursday, not Tuesday as I had hoped. (and even then, I have no idea whether it will ship to my current location or my permanent address, which would bite.) Fortunately, the library's hours are somewhat regular this week, so I don't see that negatively affecting my participation as it has since Wendsday. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  8. Sorry Sandy, Things have been rough without a computor, and I'm doing the best I can to get on regularly, but the library is simply not open on weekends, and there's only so much I can do from a Kindle. That is the action I would have done though. Having healed Nur, Sylph healed Johon. Order: Sylph, Dak, Nur, Johon
  9. *Pant pant pant pant* It's astonishing, the amount of taxidermy that goes on it this village nowadays. I've got three new bodies to stuff! Stuffing stiffs is hard, messy work, but someone's gotta do 'em, and I'm your man... well, furry Sheepdog hybrid thing... of the male veriety. Speaking of bodies, I've noticed that my wovewy wife's haunches have gone un-gnawed today. I must learn to ballance work and play. So, Carly Cow, if that is your real name, I think that I will vote for you. Now I haven't been around to say so, but at the end of yesterday I was growing very suspicious of Portia Poodle because of that voting thing she did and didn't do. It seemed to me like she was posturing for Day 2 and intentionally avoiding a bandwagon. Today however, she's been logical and she's not on my suspicions list that I don't have yet, anymore. Carly however is. I feel that those of you who made the case against her made some pretty good points, and I feel that her lynch is the most likely to provide us with a scummy result, and a lynch in general. Franky, my vote doesn't matter at the moment, but you can have it anyways. Vote: Carly Cow (Tamamono)
  10. Hi all. I am facing difficulties with computer access and am currently posting from my Kindle. I will be able to post more when my computer arives on tuesday. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  11. "Ok, I'll repeat my action . Dak, take the remaining combatant."
  12. This Statue talks too!? How are you statue? Do you mind if I call you Stacy Statue? You don't? Wonderfull! I'm Saemus Sheepdog, and over there's my lovely wife Shawna Sheep. And there's Harry the House, and David the Door, and Wendy the Window. She doesn't talk that much. She's a bit shy...
  13. I don't think that's a legal move. "While it is within my power to do such a thing, I would never betray the trees so." Grunted Sylph solomnly. "My powers are designed to heal and protect, not to desicrate the earth for profit. Johon, battle their leader. Dak, hit the fire eater from the first row. I'll sing that siren a lullaby." Said Sylph as he attempted to cast sleep on the minstrel from the last row. Order: Sylph Dak Johon Nur
  14. So you've jumped on the the first person to break from that behavior. Someone who by breaking from the behavior of the most of us did not break from his familiar behavior. If I've learned anything about Petey's style, it's that he makes somewhat spacey remarks, and takes jokes seriously and jokes when others are serious. At first I called it nooby, but I now think it's just how he rolls. No offence Petey. It's not a scum-tell as you make it out to be, and it's not a town-tell. It's simply who he is. And simply put, the scum use anomalous behavior to manipulate the masses and you've associated his anomalous behavior with scum behavior. It would be incredibly easy to make his actions seem those of a scum because they were weird. The scum do it with neophytes, and they do it with those who behave differently from everyone else. I don't think he's scum simply because he's behaved as you say a scum would. I think you're scum for saying that Petey's everyday behavior which was different from that of the rest of us at the time, is scummy. Furthermore you've insisted to take credit for his Lynch, which is... suspicious to me. I don't think we'll honestly get as much from lynching Petey as you think we would. I think it would just cost us a Townie. Now, I wanted to say more, but I don't have time and might not for the rest of the day.
  15. "Would you men get hold of your attractions, We've got work to do!" Shouted Sylph. Sylph proceeded to cast Sleep on Big Jane. "Dak, take the bard. Shut her up, ASAP!" Order: Johon Dak Nur Sylph
  16. No, not really. I think Pennie's in a convenient position strategically speaking in that she's now "the first one to vote" for Petey, who has a not unsubstantial number of active players already expressing suspicion as to his allegiance. Assuming Pennie is indeed scum, trying to Lynch a townie, in this case Petey, when Petey shows up Town, Pennie can say, "I was only the first to vote for him, and everyone else following the bandwagon didn't have to, don't look at me! Look at them! He was just confusing everyone anyways." Also, if Petey doesn't get bandwagoned, Pennie is Scott-free for having voted on an agree-edly odd individual. Of course She wouldn't take credit for the Lynch when it turned out that Petey was Town, but being the one to initiate the Lynch would put her in a defensible position later on. Once the Lynch was through and surviving the wake of the Town-lynch, she could always defend herself by saying, "I tried to help the Town by getting a suspicious individual Lynched, therefor, I am Town." It doesn't seem like a double-bluff to me, although, I'm not sure what a double bluff means. It seems more like she's pulling a safe maneuver, voting on a suspicious Townie. It's what I did on the first day of the doomed first play Excalibur, before the set burnt down and Flipzed over, and the cast had to be recast.
  17. This day is moving fast with a surprising quantity of substance. At the moment, Taxidermy is taking a huge tax on my ability to participate, but I should be able to manage the level of participation I have demonstrated all day until the end of the day, at which point I will be able to participate more. Let me pick up where I started. I still think that Petey's behavior is somewhat consistent with his normal behavior as a familiar neighbor. I think his reaction to what was obviously more of the status quo joking did a great job of getting the conversation focused on the pressing issue. That is to say... the Lynch. As others have said, we now have plenty of behaviors to analyze in our copious spare time. As far as I'm concerned, Petey's behavior, including tossing potatoes at those who were talkative, but somewhat "cool-headed" read ambivalent does not worry me. What does worry me is the behavior of those who do not share my opinion, namely Pennie. More on that later. It could be that he is not as close a neighbor as I to Petey, and therefor does not notice how normal the somewhat-spacy behavior is, or it could be an attempt to build a quick lynch behind someone who made a mistake by sticking-out. I'm getting a strange feeling from you at the moment. You're really insistant that you were the first to jump on Petey for a stupid mistake, which is something I remember from a play called Jedi Temple where a very strongly opinioned individual asserted that he was responsible for a scum's lynch in order to appear townie. I'm not suggesting that you are taking credit for the lynch of a scum as a scum, that would make no sense this early in the game. I am however worried that you may be scum taking credit for any lynch, protected by the tried and true "a scum wouldn't draw this much attention to himself so early in the game." It's a good argument to make in one's defense, and since you have made sure that no one could possibly think that you were not the originator of the bandwagon, you also have the benefit of not being a bandwagon follower. Essentially you're in a very convenient position, especially if the bandwagon against Petey does not work, because it is very beneficial for the scum to split the vote. Now that most people seem to be focused on other targets, or at least, are not as focused on Petey as they were earlier, you also have the benefit of appearing to stick to your principles by being one of the only ones to vote for Petey. Vote: Pennie Pig (Eskallon) I'm very distracted at the moment, so I'll try to post more later. I have other opinions, but right now Pennie's the only one I'm truly concerned about.
  18. Well jeez, this whole Petey Problem has really gotten out of Henry the Hand. I agree that his behavior is odd, however it is not unusual for Petey to make somewhat abrupt comments that demonstrate a misunderstanding. I believe in both of the Excalibur plays, he behaved in such a manner, which allowed the villains of the first to spread distrust of him, and the heroes of the second to figure him out as a villain. I can't tell which this is, but while odd, it doesn't seem off. I won't vote for him simply because he totally misunderstood a joke and got serious all of a sudden. I expect that kind of thing from him. I'm really busy taxidermying and things, so I'll be back later.
  19. "Ugh." grunted Sylph, feigning frustration, and letting Johon speak for the party.
  20. They talk too you know! I've had extended conversations of a most scintillating variety with a fried cod. Which is not to say I didn't eat him when the conversation was over. *chomp*
  21. Curse my lack of diplomacy or intimidation! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  22. I won't speak for my mates, but I don't think these goons are worth keeping alive. If you lot don't believe we're with the Wolfgang, that's fine, maybe brother Dak can convince you. I think we'd just be wasting our time letting our targets get away though. These girls aren't worth the daylight we're losing.
  23. I've dreamed of biting a cow before, but that was before I met my one true love, Shawna and her delicious haunches. Grrrr.
  24. "Definitely not your type. We are but poor, lost circus performers. Is there a village nearby? Ever heard of the wolfgang? Those kids are ours, and you are the ones interfering with our gig. Savvy?"
  25. Oh my, I hope I'm not late to the party! I was just talking with Ben the Book who was telling me wonderful things about a magician named Harriet Slutter. He's such a funny chap. Not like Danny the Dictionary; he's really dull. He did tell me what Lynch meant though, and it doesn't sound like fun.
