Well, because some of I'm going to have to fish around for Legobodger's updated stats, the Thread'll open 2-3 hours from now instead of right now. Sorry for the inconvenience, players. I do suggest that you stop by the library and ask for a basic overview of Sundestia and/or Brendenton's history, since it hasn't been featured in any previous quests, but of course, that's not required. I'll make sure y'all learn what you need regardless. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Glad I could help! (PS: I accidentally said Emerald in the last sentence instead of Garnet. Garnets are the earth gems, and Emeralds are the wood gems, but I'm sure you know that. I just don't want to confuse anyone. I have since fixed it.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat

He asked for Glory. Also, he seemed one of the more enthusiastic of the party. Also, I can see a knight being a party leader quite easily. I was going to have Karie the party leader, but then I thought that being a Party Leader and a first-time QM would have been a little hard. I thought about the others as well, but I chose Drake because of the glory comment mostly, considering that glory wasn't the first thing on my mind when I designed the quest. Have I made my first mistake as a QM? Oh gods! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

So, I don't think you have to roll a die outside of combat for the spell to work. It just expends as much ether as you feel the task is worth. Carving your face in the stone if you have a garnet costs 1 ether, but making a bridge out of stones may cost more like 4 ether, depending on the length. In battle, a Mage may say: "I'd like to cast an earth spell, from the back row, with my garnet," and it deals as much damage as it says on the class description page (for a hit: WP of currently used item+Level Earth elemental damage) costing 1 ether. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming

No worries, I've got one of those mornings too (and on the day I start my Quest, no less) so I completely understand. The 11 rounds felt really fast anyways. -
Fixed that for you. There was some weird line over the text. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

The Hinkwell employee stepped into the Hall again. "Umm..." he started, cleared his throat, and continued. "The Heroes for Quest 62 have been chosen. You have 8 hours to finish your conversations, purchase supplies, and research Sundestia, or accomplish whatever small tasks you must before meeting me at the docks, And then we'll set sail for Brendenton." He awkwardly waited for a minute, and then retreated out the door, muttering about filing paperwork to himself. The chosen heroes were for Quest 62: Amorith (played by legobodgers) Nessa (played by herrJJ) Karie (played by Kintobor) *Party Leader* Dreyrugr (played by Vash the Stampede) Drake (played by xxlRocka) *Back-up Party Leader* (OoC: I'll open the Quest Thread later this evening, no later than 8 hours from now. Any questions asked about Brendenton or Sundestia in the Library will be answered either then, or whenever I find time before then. Also, I'm currently asking Kintobor if he wants Karie to be PL. Drake is my back-up if he's too busy QMing. Kintobor is fine PLing and QMing! It's a Go.)

"Indeed," grimaced Sylph as he attempted to heal. -
Huh, that sounds like a marvelous idea. I may throw one into Quest 62 as loot in an appropriate battle. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Well, we've been at it now for 7 rounds, so, you know.... In other news, I'll admit, I made an error in my strategy last round. I thought Rome still had that 1 SP he had a while back, and I erroneously believed he'd be at 1 health this round. Edit: Did I say 7? I mean 9! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
