  1. @Def, It wasn't a pile-on. The Steal was added when we lost our Diamond. Everyone got it in addition to their Actions. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. I'm so scared, I'm trembling in my custom made baby-sealskin boots. (not in-character ) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. I know. I played very poorly, mostly because I was overwhelmed by schoolwork at the time. I realized that I was doing poorly and even said so in the scum thread. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  4. Exactly, they're your one weakness! But now that I know it, I can never be satisfied by battle again. I am doomed to wonder Heroica the empty shell of a strategist, soulless and alone.... What? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. Yes, never trust Endgame. He promised me tough baddies, but I haven't seen any yet. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. Whoo! I'm the only Scum who actually died! I'll see you all in Hell! (Which I own now: I stole the Devil's Diamonds.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  7. Will see you in Hell.

Are you going to be a new QM??? Can't wait to see what's in store!

I'm planning on getting everything together by a week from today. Naturally I'll be working with a skeleton cast since I'm at college, but I've finally devised a quest that I don't need too many lego pieces for (and I suck at LDD, and my computer sucks with it, so that's pretty much off the table.) It'll involve that Kingdom I intend to feature heavily in my Quests, but instead of the one I was planning up until recently, it involves the Houses of Heroica somewhat.

  8. Yes, and Curse as written is devastating to Players even at my Level +, but that's not the case for even monsters with regenerative capabilities that have high max HP. Above say, 200 HP, 4 rounds of being cursed followed by a full regeneration will only result in it being 12 HP down from its initial 200+ HP, practically negligible and not likely to effect the battle in any way. This would be actually quite useful in the case of Monsters with large HP, or perhaps an HP based system, ie: <100 HP=-3, <200HP=-6, <300HP=-9, <400HP=-12....<800HP=-24... That would make it continue to be relevant against monsters around my level+. Well, that's balanced by more powerful poisons that take off 10 Hp per turn, which is useful for Monsters with even high HP. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  9. Quiet about things pertaining to stuff.

  10. If I had a minimizing artifact, and one that curses, why, I'd be a happy man.

How about a knuckle sandwich from The Suffering instead?

I think I'd prefer his head on a silver platter.

  11. Huh, I just figured out that with monsters with HPs as copious as 800 (100+) Cursing is really utterly useless. Although, if The Suffering had 100 HP, I've figured out a way to kill him unarguably without even invoking a single attack. Logically, It would take damn near 66 rounds, and all my potential ether, but... Addendum: Unless I had an artifact that could "Slow," in which case, 200 HP. Addendum 2: And all shots are off if I had access to a minimizing effect. Elgar, you need a minimizing item. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  12. "Elgar, you're up. you're the man with the least to lose from taking a special/a hit. I contemplated letting you curse him and having Rome take the hit, but I decide that such a risk would be pointless." Alex: Heal Elgar, BR Sylph: Frailty Suffering, BR = Sylph: Frailty Suffering, BR (Or, throw Ice bomb if Frail) Punii: Make Jellies (Or, Mix Jellies if Frail) Rome: Potion, BR Elgar: Suffering, BR Galen: Nothing, BR (Or, throw fire bomb if Frail, BR) Johon: Nothing, BR (Or, throw ice bomb if Frail, BR) Johon: Nothing, BR Galen: Nothing, BR Hall: Nothing, BR Just realized "Spirit Guardian doesn't work like I thought it did. Thanks Flipz.
  13. "Ok, I think the best solution to this is also slow and steady. Once we pick off his minions (although, hopefully we can keep the Juggernaut alive long enough to evoke one of Johon's Ravages) we can kill him with pinpricks. I don't think we should have too many people target him at once, and certainly none that are unlucky... Unless Alex rolls a spirit guardian, in which case, forget the minions, lucky or not lucky. Speaking of which, Johon, drink up." Alex: Heal Self, BR Sylph: Bone Suffering, BR Sylph: Nostrum Johon, BR Punii: Mix Jellies Elgar: Seal Jugg, BR Rome: Do Nothing, BR Galen: Grand Potion, BR Johon: Mead, BR Johon: Jugg, BR Galen: Jugg, BR Hall: Air, FR
  14. Not to Wound your pride, but the Bleeding Suffering won't last long, and you'll Regret his dastardly specials before this is all over. >:)

  15. "Well, that's what I was afraid might happen. Johon, Hang in there. You can use the salts and essence this round, and I'll pass you my nostrum next. We need you lucky. I'm counting on your Decay. The Dragon scale can wait for Edilon, but the Mead may be really useful." 16. Suffering sucutash, that's allot of HP! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  17. "And so it begins." "Alright, We can't attack the Suffering too frequently, because we can't block those specials. If we can get him decaying, badly posioned and fragile, we may be able to wait him out for the most part. Alex, this is your last round blind, so you should heal Rome. Elgar, help me seal the rest of the worst of them. Rome, Galen, X, Y. Hal, it doesn't matter if you hit Crystal or not too much. He's a dead man walking regardless. Johon, tackle that Juggernaut, Galen, the Aerial Progg, and Johon... Make the Suffering suffer." 18. It's a shame you don't have blindsight like he had. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  19. "Oh, it did. Everything seems to be going well enough. We exceeded my expectations in terms of killing Proggs, therefore, your mediocre mixture was not a hindrance, but rather, a boon. Slow and steady, my friends. Slow and steady. Alex, you can't see, but you can heal. You'll be my charge next round, along with Hal. In the mean-time, let's deal with the most badly injured." I've fought in great battles and lead my followers to countless victories. Have I been defeated before? Yes. Do you have the power to kill me? No. Not that it will come to that. Not even a literal swarm of Proggs has put a dent on our advancement. Even loyal soldiers should fear Death, my friend. It's the natural response to encountering an opponent you cannot fight and survive. I have seen that Proggs have more of a conection to nature than I previously thought. If you value your life in the slightest, you should be terrified."
  20. Hahahaha! Thanks, but that's all Endgame's doing. Even though I concider my character to be a highly intellegent strategist (and by extension, I have to step up and make smart moves), I didn't realize that others thought so too. It helps that I've been a party leader about 3 times by now. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  21. Wow, that was awesome! (Unfortunately I didn't even know this was going on, somehow... I need to reead the discussion thread more frequently/thoroughly.) I can't believe I got nominated/runner up-ed for "Best strategist!" Thanks all who voted for me. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

  23. Clearly, plus, blindness only heightens a true magician/cleric's other senses, and they can smell the words on the page. It's Science. Smell a book. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. Excellent... ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  25. "Not bad Rome, but I think our resources are conserved better if I handle this. As a Druid, if I get a clean Heal, I'll remove it with less ether and no remedy."
