How do you know if you're right for this game? 1. The Bat. He's so cuddly and cuuuute! I get all 'fangirly' about him. Second favorite: The Black Knight. He's so shiny and badass. (third favorite is the Kimono girl, who's also cute.) 2. Yes. Daily at least. I'm going through a moving fiasco right now, but that should be cleared up in a week or so. 3. Yes. 4. I've had a bit. Hopefully I won't end up scum this time around. 5. Bring it. I love horror. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Dannylonglegs replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow! The pics have finally come! Barbarian: Nice new fig. Useful Torso and legs. I like that hair, and if I didn't already have two of it, I'd be very pleased to finally see it in black in a cheap set. I love the arms, and may actually have to get multiples just for them.... maybe. The accessory is disappointing though. Two gladiator swords? Not a bastard sword or a spiked chain, or an axe or something that says "Barbarian"? Even the new castle sword in a new colour like flat-black or flat-bley, would have been preferable to two same-colour gladius'. I'm sure to get 1, but maybe just 1. Scarecrow: My favorite figure of the wave. Before I saw this, I was worried I'd have to army build Tonto to get those crows, something I did not want to do. Now, I'm going to army build the Scarecrow. I'm thinking of getting 5 or more. Not only is the figure just perfect (the hat, the clothes, and the sewed-on smile represent the archetypical scarecrow 100% accurately, right down to the patches and sticking-out straw), but it comes with that beautiful crow that I simply must have a murder of. It's not debatable. I'm getting 5+. Bavarian Woman: My second favorite of the wave. Even better than the Bavarian man, IMO. Her torso is stunning, the big black shoes, great. The choice of dress-piece is a little iffy, since the piece never folds right on my bagpiper, but that's forgivable. The new hair is perfect for a bavarian woman, and has many other uses. My one semi-complaint on the figure as a representation of an archetype, is the pretzel piece as opposed to two+ flasks of beer, but that said, I actually prefer the return of the pretzel due to its usefulness and already having several glasses, but merely one pretzel. (a complaint I will reverse with the Blacktron mech). Certainly getting 1, but maybe more. Blacktron Mech: An all around exceptional figure. I think the fig looks cool and evil, with the multitude of lime decals on the legs and arms and the 'target aquiring' face. I really want to see the torso decal. I hope it is useful for blacktron infantry, like Rench's was. I love the armour too, and haven't gotten a chance to get one yet, as I'm ambivalent about getting the Jet-Jaguar-esque 'good' mech. (might have to now after seeing Pacific Rim though.) The blacktron symbol on the armour is great! I love its modern-meets-retro look, which is boosted exponentially by the return of the ancient gun piece. That said, I have many of the piece, so I'm not as impressed by its presence here. If the piece were different, xe might have made it higher on my list of favorites. Getting at least 1, but likely more, so, really, I'm getting 1+. Tiki Mask Man: Wonderful! I'm very pleased to see a modern take on the Retro Islander. The grass skirt legs are a great nod to the original Islander, and the Torso and Mask are beautifully painted. The old Islander hat was really made for that bone piece, so I'm so happy the connection is finally official. And, they're re-using the old spear piece too! Great stuff. I'll get at least 1 of this fig. Gingerbread Man: Alright figure. I have to say I'm not the most enthusiatic to see it, but I suppose it's an alright addition to the collection. It had to happen eventually, right? The mug is pretty bad, and almost sounds like an unintentional inuendo. I would have liked to see a holdable cookie piece as an accessory (like a chocolate-chip printed tan 1-1 round tile), or a few technicolour gumdrop buttons or something else clever like that, but I'll live. I might get 1. Holiday Elf: I don't love the figure itself, but it's very useful. The present-printed tile is great, as is the bear that I missed along with most of that series. I can see the torso being useful in castle, somehow, and the hat has clear use. I'll get 1, and maybe more if I find a need for them. Yeti: Yeti 'nother figure I need! I love the thing, and really want that popsickle piece! Good job TLC! I'll get at least 1. Mountain Man: I love the figure, but I don't need him. I have no complaints, apart from that he'd work better with the ice-pick piece. The new cable's great! I might get 1, for the cable and red helmet. Welder: Beautiful. I'll get him for the mask and equipment, but I don't need any more figures with overalls, and I think TLC might have gone a bit too far overboard on decaling for this one. I really want to see his head. I'll get 1. Scientist: As a scientist-in-training, this is my third favorite figure. While I did join the complaining about her hair, it realy is the perfect hair-piece for a lab scientist. The coat is perfect, the face is great, and I love the two new vials. I may get up to 3 of her. Sax Man: Brilliant all-round. The suit is great, the head is jazzy, the fedora is great. The sax itself is a bit chunky looking to me, but AMAZING nonetheless. I'm so pleased to finally have a Lego sax. I'll get atleast 1. Diner Waitress: It's a hit or miss, and it's a miss. I don't like the colour torso, or the hair, really. The white serving plate is alright, but un-needed. The pink rollerskates are garish, but I suppose that's the point. The icecream is the only part I really like. I might get 1, but I have my doubts. Cat-loving Granny: It's not a bad figure, but I wish they took it a different way, and made it work more with the granny visitor. I really don't like the new cat. It's disgusting, but It's here to stay, I imagine. The hair is useful, and the pants in that colour are nice... and you can never have too many baskets. She reminds me of someone I know in real life. I'll probably get 1. Constable: The figure is nice. It really captures the archetype well, with the short beating stick and whatnot. I don't know why a constable has the number 1337 instead of a sci-fi fig, but oh well. I'll probably get 1. Female Robot: Robot hooker. Seriously. This was a bad idea on Lego's part, IMO, but I'll get 1. My sentiments exactly. I thought exactly the same thing! She strongly reminds me of the shepard from Spice and Wolf (even though they're quite different.) http://00avalon.file...1-58-50-45.jpg ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Sylph'd jump on that in a second. Especially if it was Druid-related. IE: Sylvania's warrior or something. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
-
And likely most Druids as well. (although, I'm not sure how many would prefer to spray their plants with dead beetle water.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
-
It would only be useful to the horticulturally inclined, I think. I have no problem with Japanese humans (in fact, I quite love the culture and language), it's the Popillia japonica I can't stand. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
-
I absolutely dispise them, and I collect coleoptera. All beetles are beautiful gems... except Japanese Beetles, which all deserve to die. I grow pesticide free, so the only way to keep them off the grapes is either spray them with a soap sollution, or water mixed with (I kid you not) dead Japanese Beetles. Neither keeps them away long enough though. Also, I;m sorry about my very small amount of participation recently. It should increase very soon. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

"Oh, just passing by. I see." The Lord stated with a little dissapointment and irritation which he carefully tried to hide. "Of course I've heard of the wolves. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have to ship my wine down Westway road and give those barbarian mercenaries a bottle of my finest whites! Those bafoons wouldn't know the difference between a Falana wine and a Luosh Red if it would save their lives. I have told the Queen on many occasion that those fools are no good." the lord griped. "I do not make a habit of handing wine out to mere travellers." The lord stated with a dull look and a contemptuous tone. "That was years ago. Trade's fine... Although good cloth just got allot more expensive." He chuckled. "Damn Hinckwells." he grumbled. "I put my trust in the Shadeaux now... Although it all depends on who offers the most for my wares... And who has the most descerning tastes. Wine's a great market to be in, my friends, especially if your tastes are as refined as my own. I only accept the best grapes in my wine, making for the best product with the subtlest flavors. I control my brewing process from the seeding to the brewing to the bottling and corking." The man stated with obvious snobish pride. "Only the best." he stated, knocking on one of the wooden posts his grapes leaned upon. Just then, a rumbling came from underneath the grapes. "What on Oligaia? Workers?! What is that rumbling?" The workers just stared at eachother with worried looks. "It's the grubs, master.... They've gotten bigger." Almost as if on cue, a bizarre white worm-like creature popped out of the earth.... followed by another... and another... and another.... and a large beetle-creature. "Ah!" Squealed the lord. "Dear Ennoc! What are these foul abominations doing in my vineyard?! Somebody kill them!" The terrified lord leapt onto one of the grape posts, and hung onto it for dear life. Prepare for Battle!!! OoC: Ok, the Quest should speed up soon. My lego collection is in one place, and I'm in another, so pics are killing me. The party left the city, ready to deal with the wolf problem. They got to the gate just as a small mercantile cart, carrying several barrels, a grey haired man, a hooded woman, and a hooded man, was leaving the city. The guards asked them their intended detination and purpose before they left, and when they finally got on the road, the cart was on the horizon. They walk for half a day. The countryside was quite beautiful, with rolling hills, but the sun was hot, and sometime after midday, the party was all hungry and thirsty. After a while, they came upon a vineyard. It was the first notable encounter of their day, aside from every now and then seeing the cart further away. A richly dressed man was barking at his grape-pickers as the party arrived. "What's the problem? There are always grape-grubs! They're a small pest, nothing to get squeamish about! Idiots." Noticing the party, he adopted a cheerful face. "Ah, travelers! I am Lord Montresor. Excuse my workers, the heat must be getting to them. Have you come to sample my famous wine? It's the best in all of Sundestia, if I do say so myself." The party could see a sign that pointed towards a rich looking manor not too far off the road, stating "Lord Montresor's Inn and Vineyard." Would the party stay and inspect the Lord's winery, or continue on their intended purpose.- 324 replies

"I have a moral code too, good sir. I-I-I have only once brandished a sword, and it was in self defense. I hope that I can perform as Branch Manager as well as Dill does without hurting anyone... But I'll keep your offer in mind." The Hinckwell stated, fidgeting. "Yes, the Wolves." he stated, grateful for the change in topic. "Now, we can't afford you horses at the moment. Our stables are empty, and during the fire, our stables, as-well as our previous building, were ransacked by a group of rioters lead by a bard who was hanged afterwards. The horses we have left are all busy. That said, you may enjoy your walk. Sundestia's countryside is quite beautiful." he smiled quickly. "Once you get back from your trip (I'll have Norton and Samson meet you on your return in Orsedd) I will pay you." Bart stated amiably. He bid them farewell and the party walked outside the trade-house. William took out his Shovel and dug in the gravel of the road, receiving a few odd looks. For his efforts, he earned a Necklace with the Symbol of Ennoc. It might be worth five gold if sold. Also, he found gravel and horse poop, which makes sense, considering he was digging in the road. Heroica RPG - Quest #69: The Hook on the Other Hand

"This is what happens when someone else leads." Stated Sylph, unamused. "Let's retreat. We fall back, heal ourselves, replenish our ether reserves and return to finish the job. Next time, we take fewer free-hits, and forget that new scroll. We'll drop a neutralizer if they prepare for our return. The Sleep scroll should have been used earlier, but now we are out of options. Dying here isn't worth anything." Sylph stated, silently but authoritatively. "If I can't heal us all this round, Pretzel or Nessa, you must throw the bomb. Dreyrugr, before we leave, see if you can't snatch the high-elf's stash." Suggested Battle Order: >Pretzel: Big Red >Dreyrugr: High Elf >Sylph: Difur, Shrapnel Bow (if Roots of life is rolled, see alternate order) >Erik: Switch Tricorn with boots >Nessa: Smoke Bomb Alternate: >Erik: Pizza the Hut >Nessa: Combination of two Bond villain names
