Is that CW V-Wing you're referring to the same as the V-Wings which escorted Palpatine's Shuttle in Mustafar? Yep you're correct on those Series 1 sets, but there's always a possibility that TLG might release a MF of an 'upcoming' SW character (Shaak Ti). I'm bad at my LSW history but has this been done before? If not, I hope they do it with Shaak, or Ki-Adi from Series 2 will be great too. On CTT, it is based on Series 2 (first appearance in CW series), and if I remember right, the rumors/photo leaks started before Season 2 started, though the actual release of the set is after the series.

That is what you call TALENT. Very professional-looking designs and just goes to show agi2007's expertise in digital graphics design. How I wish I had a quarter of his graphics creativity. Truly very impressive works of art! Here is my small contribution to this thread, my first and only custom RGS noseart design, entitled "Strong with the Force", which I've posted in my JAG topic.

One half sphere canopy (half-bubble) costs around a US$1, which ain't that bad. I think I will try to combine these bubbles and the tube-thingy techniques of the example you posted for the planned side turrets.
-
Hmmm, not bad at all.. Nice mix-&-matching of parts from various themes (PoP headgears, jedi robes), and the horse decors are pretty good added details. Though I'm not so sure about those huge flags, the 1-brick-wide build seems a little heavy as flags.

That is a pretty good design Jeff, but I think it would be more appropriate if you post this on the Sci-fi forum and not in your nearly-month-old Intro topic.

Yay! My name is in someone's sig?!. So will you be a doing a sequel of Order 65? I guess it'll be your version of Order 66 then?

Great looking Ferrari F40 Ralph_S! This is one of those MOCs where 'unsmoothness' actually looks good. The opening front and rear hoods and the internal mechanisms are simply amazing. Great job on this!
-
Nicely done Scooby Doo gang Burman. The designs are simple yet you got their basic looks all right. I love Velma the best, and I'm kinda not used to Shaggy having a "calmer-than-usual" face, a more wacky face would have been more fit IMO.
-
Congrats to all the winners - Burman, Flare, LegoJoe, sok117 - lucky guys indeed.

Oh my, what a lovely Pizza restaurant! Amazing job on this wooootles. (did I get the right number of Os in your name? ). What sold me into this MOC is the interior - the brown wooden finish inside, that ceiling fan, and the soda dispenser - I love 'em all. It really looks good side-by-side with the other modulars.
-
That's pretty good for your first MOC, Temet Nosce, I actually like it - as the others have said, it's very modern-looking. The interiors are great, especially the DJ booth and the dance floor. But I have to agree the tan bricks at the bottom looks out-of-place in a rather good-looking build IMO. It's also a shame the photoshoot of this nightclub was conducted in the morning. I think it would have been better if it was depicted in a night setting, complete with lights, sounds(?), and of course the Party People! in a real nightclub atmosphere. Well, that's just wishful thinking in my part.

Welcome to Eurobricks Soulgem! Those are indeed classic sets alright, I also remember the days of visor-less space helmets... Oohhh, those days.. Anyways, enjoy the forums.

Hi JELEN and welcome to Eurobricks. It's great to hear you've come out of your dark ages, with some timely gift from your gf. Enjoy the site.

Welcome aboard Baylego! Can't wait to see your MOCs here in EB. See you around.

Welcome back to the wonderful world of LEGO typo. Hope you enjoy the forums here in EB.

Yeah I've seen this canopy before, though I've never thought of using it. Its shape is more accurate to the cockpit glass of the real RGS, but I think the size will be an issue (10 X 6 X 3) vs. the existing canopy (6 x 4 x 2). If there was a smaller version of this one, I would probably try using it. Yup, I custom-created that little custom RGS noseart specifically for JAG. That's my first and only custom RGS noseart so far. There's actually a flickr group dedicated to these custom RGS nosearts where I'm part of: the Lego gunships and cavalry group, where I drew my inspiration for my custom noseart. The last jedi shot was, of course non-canon, and just a fictitious product of my crazy imagination. I think your story best captures the essence of the last pic, I like it.

As I've said above, I'll be adding the side turrets on the Geonosis-type RGS I'm planning to do. I've seen various brickbuilt side turrets in various MOcs before but they just don't look accurate/realistic to me, because the side turrets of the real RGS are actual glass 'bubbles' unlike the ones I've seen (like above example). So I will be using additional 4 RGS bubbles for the side turrets and keeping the design of the wing turrets.

Thanks for the kind words Sir Legodad42. I don't know why but I really am a sucker for accuracy - maybe it's the 'OC' in me or the frustrated artist in me. I have no lego sets that hasn't been modified. Maybe it's just TLG always (deliberately?) leaves a room for improvement in their sets or I just can't stand seeing blatant inaccuracies/misproprortions in my lego sets. Regarding the sticker, yes I designed the noseart myself, using the 'blank' RGS noseart template by Gold_S via flickr.
-
Thanks. It's nice to hear you liked the custom noseart. I don't have any background in graphic design (I hope I had one), I just like doing stuff in Photoshop. Regarding the side gun turrets, I also have plans adding those when I make my Geonosis RGS version. Thanks prateek. The wing bubble turret is part of the official RGS, I just added the bottom half. Oh yeah, that would really be ironic if JAG was used to attack the jedi temple during Order 66.
-
The acronym just popped out of nowhere and it sounded cool so I used it. Glad you like it Doc. And thanks for the info, I never knew that one (I'm a bad RGS fan afterall). It's just that the wing turrets has a space fit for a minifig so I decided to put clone gunners on both.
-
Thanks, it's actually more of a MOD than a MOC. I agree, it's really very risky (and borderline dumb) putting all the high council jedis in one RGS, I knew someone was gonna notice that and you cleverly did. It's just this one instance when they all got together in one ship for the official photo shoot of JAG organized by the GAR. Thanks AND3RSEN, that is a great suggestion. I think another member has already done a similar 'opening-at-the-bottom' of the cockpit where the pilots can go out. Maybe I could borrow his idea and put ladders in the front interior as you suggested. I'll probably do that in my next RGS version.
-
You should get it. The RGS is a must-have for any LSW fan. Try saving up for it, it's a good 'investment' IMO. The 'Great Blue One' is coming, just waiting for the parts to arrive. Thanks def, I'm happy people appreciate the presentation the same way as the mods.
-
Sir Zzz, my answers in blue. Thanks Flare. Thanks Blackice, I'm glad you like it too. The RGS is my most favorite SW ship (along with the X-Wing) so I really had to mod my 7676 RGS when I first noticed the minor inaccuracies. Obviously, TLG put the flickfires missiles, bacta tank, and speeder bike holder on the RGS for playability purposes, which I'm not interested in, so mods came to the rescue. I can't seem to access th link so I don't know the piece you're referring to.
-
Thanks Burman. Yup TLG's RGS is already good-looking as it is, I just had to do these little MODs to satisfy my inexplicable need for accuracy.
