Nice build Mr Man, not bad at all for your first MOC here in EB. Though the whole model could use a few more details and proper color scheme, I still like the rotating wing engine thingy, that's a really nice functionality on a rather simple build. Good job and I'm a conformist!!

Looks good Dengar, a really nice entry perfectly fit for the upcoming holiday season. Though it would be a bummer if you get disqualified due to your late EB registration date. Well, I still wish you all the luck!

Thanks for sharing the comic Masked Builder. I don't really mind if Shaak and Saesee weren't in it, it's just a comic anyway. Both will definitely be in the T-6 Shuttle set. Maybe TLG has come to their senses and realized that releasing three new highly-sought jedi minifigs in one set is just 'impractical sales-wise'. They might put the Vos fig (as an attention-drawing factor) in another 2011 set.

Ooh, great job on the multi-functionality of your service truck lightiningtiger. The air compressor, the bobcat trailer, and 'other' trailers are really great add-ons to the truck.

The ISS really looks amazing! Are those the NASA sets that won't be made available to the public?

MOC: Large Mining Transport
XimenaPaulina replied to apemax's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That's a huge badass minig transport all right, I really like the design, very Rock Raider-ish. I'm prettu sure with the right colored parts you'll be able to improve the color scheme. Good job apemax! -
Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

"So Ollivander, are you now ready to duel a Magus? I'm waiting..." - Diana -
Yeah, the last ones will have to do the creative 'finishing touches' I suppose, which can be a good or bad thing depending the way you look at it. Good because finishing touches don't require too much pieces/parts unlike the initial building steps, on the other hand it might be bad since you might 'ruin' an already great build.

Great moudular building MOC mautara! I love the design of the wooden door and the grey tile bricks in front. Certainly impresssive considering it's only your second try in modulars.

Hufflepuff Adept Okay Turkoglu versus Gryffindor Adept Ollivander Dippet SUDDEN DEATH! Okay Turkoglu | 3 _________________________Ollivander Dippet | 3 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Expelliarmus! - 0 ______________________________High - 0 Stupefy! - 0___________________________________Protego! - 0 High - 0______________________________________Expecto Patronum! - 0 Low - 0______________________________________Low - 0 Health: 3_____________________________________Health: 3 Three rounds weren't enough to determine the victor in the Battle of the Adepts as this intense duel goes the distance to the Sudden Death round. Ollivander quickly starts by disarming Okay with an Expelliarmus. The Hufflepuff quickly recovers his wand and retaliates with the same Expelliarmus that hits the Gryffindor in the hand. With his opponent losing his wand, Okay tries to seize the opportunity and aims to stun Ollivander with a Stupefy, but the diminutive Adept lunges towards his wand on the floor and blocks Okay's attack just in time. The Hufflepuff attempts to hit his grounded rival in the head, only to be countered with Ollivander's Expecto Patronum. Both duelists unleash one last desperate low spell that cancels each other out as sparks fly around the room. After the dust has settled, both Adepts approach each other and shook hands, as the duel between the Gryffindor and the Hufflepuff shall be settled some other time. Result: DRAW! After four full rounds of intense exchanges of spells, no one was declared the winner as both Adepts showed impressive resiliency throughout the duel. Good duel by both of you Oky and Commander Fox, just update your character profiles with this uneventful draw. -
Lookin' good so far! It's actually interesting to see how members of varying building skills can work together to create something out of scratch. So I don't really mind seeing <insert that tiresome argument> wall pieces or intricate modular building techniques or single tree pieces, etc. At the end of the day, this should be a fun build where every participant can say: "Hey, I contributed to that creation, even in my own little way."

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
XimenaPaulina replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I never knew this topic existed, so now it's time to contribute my faves, here's 5 most favorite (in no particular order): 1) Spongebob Squarepants - the child in me finds the much needed laughter from Spongebob and the gang's nautical nonsense. 2) Dragon Ball Z - since Anime is really popular in Asian countries like ours, this has got to be my most favorite anime of all time, I just love the seemingly endless saga and adventure that Son Goku has taken from his childhood up to the end in Dragon Ball GT. 3) Justice League Unlimited - I just love the all-star line-up of superheroes fighting together to save the world! 4) Slam Dunk - basketball + slapstick cartoon humour = what's not to like about this anime? Well, except for the unfinished story due to the unfortunate and untimely passing of the creator. 5) Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Fighter) - second only to DBZ, but still a great anime that was really popular in our country. -
Congrats Big Cam on your 'promotion'! Though honestly, I like seeing your unique Grand Dork user group.

Nice little post-Apoca vig The Soup Nazi, but I think a bit of variation in the clutter - maybe some 1x1s, round plates, or cheese slopes aside from the 1x2 plates, would improve it. But that is still a small but effective MOC, so good job there.

Thanks for sharing this info Omicron. Lots of interesting new pieces, I might have check out some of those. -
Welcome to Eurobricks gedren_y! Enjoy the forums here.

Wow, certainly most impressive creation! There are lots to be loved in this wonderful masterpiece - the medieval wooden finish of the house, the clever build of the wall using stacked 1x1 round plates, the overhang of the second floor, the lush greeneries in the surroundings - all of these contribute to make this a truly astounding MOC. Excellent work Derfel Cardarn!

Yeah, it would be like the new Slave I set but in the CW-Jango Fett Slave I colors and of course with new minifigs - I could live with that. But considering we already got Bossk, and we'll have Aurra soon, only the kid Babby fett is the possible new fig if ever such a set will be made (though they could always recycle Bossk & Aurra or throw a random bounty hunter there (?)).

Hufflepuff Adept Okay Turkoglu versus Gryffindor Adept Ollivander Dippet (pls. ignore the Health Points, I just recycled the image) Round 3 Okay Turkoglu | 4 _________________________Ollivander Dippet | 4 Stupefy! - 1 __________________________________Mid - 0 High - 0 _____________________________________Protego! - 0 Low - 0______________________________________Expecto Patronum! - 0 Mid - 0_______________________________________Low - 1 Low - 0______________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Health: 3_____________________________________Health: 3 Both duelists are relatively unscathed after two close rounds, and Okay begins the third one by unleashing a powerful Stupefy that catches Ollivander off-guard and stuns him. The Hufflepuff immediately follows-up with a high-arching headshot that the Gryffindor blocks just in time with a Protego. Okay tries to hit his opponent once again with a low spell but Ollivander quickly counters with an Expecto Patronum. On the ensuing sequence, the diminutive adept was able to knock the Turk off his feet with a low sweeping spell. The Gryffindor then disarms the grounded Hufflepuff in the conclusion of the third round, the result still undecided. We are going into Sudden Death! Send in your SD DS whenever you're both ready. -
Wow, I never knew about this feature. Thanks for sharing Superkalle! This will surely cut my LDD building time by more than 50%.

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
XimenaPaulina replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Now that's how I like it, someone unafraid to take on a measly girl! Now posting Round 2 results... Hufflepuff Adept Okay Turkoglu versus Gryffindor Adept Ollivander Dippet (pls. ignore the Health Points, I just recycled the image) Round 2 Okay Turkoglu | 5 _________________________Ollivander Dippet | 4 Expelliarmus! - 0 ______________________________High - 0 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Low - 0______________________________________Expecto Patronum! - 0 High - 0______________________________________Mid - 1 Stupefy! - 0___________________________________Protego! - 0 Health: 4_____________________________________Health: 4 The second round begins with the Hufflepuff Adept disarming Ollivander with an Expelliarmus before he could even cast a spell. The Gryffindor quickly recovers his wand and returns the favor by hitting Okay in the hand causing him to lose his weapon. Okay also recovers his wand in time but his low attack was cancelled right away by the diminutive Adept's Expecto Patronum. The Turk attempts to hit his opponent in the head but Ollivander ducks and unleashes a body shot that hits Okay in the torso. The Hufflepuff tries to retaliate with a powerful Stupefy only to be blocked with a timely Protego from the Gryffindor. Ollivander Dippet manages to even up the score in the second round. Who shall reign supreme in the decisive round? Send in your Round 3 DS when ready. -
I kinda like this episode, simply because Artoo was impossibly effective and competent in holding off Babby Fett's crew and piloting Mace's JSF, engaging in a dogfight with the Slave I, and escaping unscathed. BTW, the title is sort of a paying homage to E.T. right? I smiled when I read this, since my current project (in the works) is exactly like this one. ---- And allow me to thank you def (and Oky after his season 2 finale review) for a job well done in your Season 2 reviews. We hope to see more of these in Season 3 and upcoming seasons as well. Thanks for your dedicated service to all of us, your efforts are very much appreciated.

Nice bus stop models jonwil, I also like the third one with the curved sloped top.

Pretty nice representation of your apartment jonwil, though it's a bit too bare for me. A few more detailing would have helped. Still, the sliding door mechanism somehow makes up for the lack of details.
