Very nicely done DHCP1121! I agree the design is very realistic to real factories. The various elements - smoke chimneys, water tank, exhaust vent - are all very well done. Great job overall! Any plans of putting workers, a forklift, and box/cargo/stuff in there?

I'll adjudicate for you guys, just send in your DSs. How about taking on someone of your own stature, a Dark Sith Lord in Darth Aiklimacz. Since I missed the tournament, I'd like to take on someone who did very well there (to more or less gauge how I would have done in the tourney if I participated). I challenge you Ber'Gin'Yon, after your duel with Kal Herdeer.

Still have some Halloween hangover eh? Come to think of it, can I add elements fit for the season? It's gonna be winter time, would you like some snow guys? (Nah, I'm still gonna stick with the basic task at hand, start addressing all 'unfinished business' and just let the last two or three members for the finishing touches.)
-
Yep, that would solve the problem. And I think we have to end this ARF discussion already, it's becoming too lengthy some other members might 'scold' us for actually discussing a topic which is very much 2011 set-related.

When did the selection of minifig BPs made any sense? AT-AT driver fighting on the Hoth ground anyone?
-
I really don't mind if they named it as a generic ARF trooper, I actually would like it to be just an ARF trooper. But if the helmet is 2 or 4 stripes, then it should be Stak or Razor, respectively. If it is three stripes, then it's just a generic ARF trooper. So it better be three stripes so there won't be any specific name, problem solved!
-
I care. I want names to be correct. Just like what I said, won't it bother you if they named Cody Rex? Or Luminara Ahsoka? And FYI, the ARF from the BP are the Ligtning Squadron types, specifically because of the helmet prints.
-
No. A generic ARF should have no stripes. The only named Lightning Squadron ARF troopers is Stak (2 stripes) and Razor (four stripes). The others are nameless ARF troopers.

Jedi Padawan Zerb Stratlind versus Jedi Initiate Hans Olo Round 3 Zerb Stratlind | 4______________________ Hans Olo | 4 Mid - 0______________________________Parry - 0 Force Push - 0_________________________Low - 0 High - 0_____________________________Force Push - 0 High - 0_____________________________Parry - 0 Sabre Throw - 1_______________________ Kick - 0 Health: 4____________________________Health: 3 The close duel between Zerb Stratlind and Hans Olo is on a standstill, with both duelists fighting toe to toe to take the decisive advantage in this final round. Yoda's Padawan then starts to attack, swinging his lightsaber towards his opponent's torso, but Hans was quick to block with his saber. The jedi initiate then swishes his weapon low, only to be pushed with a strong surge of the Force from Zerb. On the ensuing sequence, Zern lunges to the air, aiming to strike from above, but was quickly bounced back by a Force Push from his rival. The padawan continues to be on the offensive, once again attempting an aerial strike, which Hans once again predicts and deflects the attack with his lightsaber. In one lightning-quick move, Zerb threw his saber towards Hans, catching him off-guard and injuring him on the arm. Master Yoda then calls it a game, declaring his padawan victorious. Winner: Zerb Stratlind! Congratulations Cornelius! The last strike proved to be the decisive move of the duel. Almost, but not quite The Legonater, you just made the wrong move in the last sequence. You may update your character profiles accordingly.

I agree. If those who don't like discussing the small details of an upcoming 2011 set (which is very on-topic), then try contributing something substantial on the table rather than posting useless complaints. When I made my argument regarding the name of the ARF, I was doing so since I don't want for TLG to make a fool of themselves with a glaring mistake if they named the wrong trooper. (Is it ok for you for Cody to be named Rex? ). Now that with more analysis by Stegoceras, and my conversation with commanderneyo, I now stand corrected that the ARF is probably Razor. (The low-res pic led me to believe it was two stripes). At least I made my point with some effort and research unlike others who just complain. And I would rather do that than posting wishlists and other off-topic banter. Actually, a standard ARF should have no stripes on the helmet. The stripes is sort of an identification mark for a certain trooper, just like the other custom helmet paint jobs of a gazillion clones featured in the CW series.

Amazing! This has got to be the best X-Wing MOC I've ever seen! Not only did you overhaul the previous design, you've created your own that is a thousand times better than the official one. Obviously the SNOT build makes this a winner, but even the small details are superb, like the T-shape detail in front of the engine thrusters, and the brickbuilt cockpit piece. Truly a masterpiece marshal banana!

custom phase one clones

Looks good, pretty good customization even without using Arealight's Airborne trooper helmet, you still managed to get the resemblance going. Not to mini-mod or anything, but I guess MOCs like this one that feature solely custom minifigs should go to the MCW thread. -
Very clever brickbuilt turkey! The use of that cherry piece is really nice.
-
Wow, this is just a wonderful MOC, it's nice to see the previous version as I've missed seeing that one before. Both models are great, the second one is much improved with more updated details. Excellent job lego-maniac!

Ah, sorry I viewed the positions of the stripes wrongly, what I meant was the stripes are on the right side when viewed in front, so meaning left of the helmet. Regarding the official name of the ARF, based on my conversation with commanderneyo, assuming his friend's grandpa is correct that Razor is the ARF in the BP, then it would be a glaring mistake on TLG's part since the ARF clearly has 2 helmet stripes and should really be Stak.

I have a fairly small collection compared to some of the hard-core lego fans here, but here's a rough estimate of my modest piece count: From sets (brickset data): ~ 3,800 pcs. From BL purchases (BL data): ~ 2,500 pcs TOTAL: ~ 6,300 pcs From the looks of it, I'm second only to prateek for the lowest piece count so far.

Impressive mini-creation as always Legostein! You really captured the overall accuracy of the classic Starfleet Voyager. What's even more amazing is the opening cargo compartment - a functionality rarely seen in minis but you pulled it off perfectly.

Wow, this is truly an amazing and wonderful creation Sandy! This is something right out of the fairy tale books, lots of interesting scenes going and quite a number of clever brickbuilts like that lovely rainbow. If AFOLs love this, how much more when the kindergarten kids see this? I could just imagine their eyes lighting up when they this Fantasy Castle. Truly excellent work!

I just remembered this favorite cartoon 'shorts' of mine when it was still airing on our local MTV channel, this was quite R-18 violent despite the cute and lovable characters on it. -
Jedi Padawan Zerb Stratlind versus Jedi Initiate Hans Olo Round 2 Zerb Stratlind | 5______________________ Hans Olo | 4 Sabre Throw - 0________________________Parry - 0 Mid - 0_______________________________Mid - 0 Force Push - 0_________________________Force Push - 0 Low - 0______________________________ Low - 0 Mid - 0______________________________ Low - 1 Health: 4____________________________Health: 4 Looking to take advantage of his momentum from the first round, Zerb aims to surprise his opponent by throwing his saber towards Hans, but the Jedi Initiate parries the attack just in time. Then both duelists tries to strike each other in the body as both lightsabers clash and cancel out. Both then pushes each other with a powerful surge of the Force. Hans attempts to hit his rival on the legs but Zerb deflects with his lightsaber. Still determined despite repeated failed attacks, Hans once again sweeps his lightsaber low, and this time catches Zerb off guard, opening a wound in Zerb's right leg. Hans Olo has evened up the score with a late timely attack. Who shall finally come up with the decisive salvo in the final round? Send in your Round 3 DS when ready.

Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?
XimenaPaulina replied to commanderneyo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Saesee Tiin and Shaak Ti, tied for me. A close second is the metallic silver V-Wing astromech.
