It's nice to see confirmatory news on the rumors we've been getting. Thanks for sharing whung! @commanderneyo, it looks like you'll be vindicated soon. Regarding the sets, that's a pretty good line-up, I bet OT fans are finally relieved they are getting some much-deserved love. The UCS MF looks to be a promising huge set, but is a tad too pricey for me. The other sets that interest me are the Battle for Geonosis and the still-unconfirmed Battle of Malastare. I really hope that Ki-Adi will be part of the Geonosis set, and the yellow Clone Commander is cool, whether it'll be Jet or Bly. The Dathomir speeder will definitely based on an upcoming CW episode. I'll reserve judgement on the other sets once we get pics.

Congratulations everybody for a successful build! It was really nice to witness members of different interests, skills, and stature here in EB working together and putting their creativity in the works to come up with this wonderful creation. Kudos also to ADHO15 and Superkalle for organizing this first-ever LDD RCB. Now, I have a suggestion, which just popped out of my head during the course of this RCB:

Nicely done! I like it a lot, it really put a smile on my face especially the last part. Good job and hope to see more from you Primusman.

Nice one Kyle! Great job collecting all those Series 3 Baseball players. They all look good together as a team with the different faces. I'm looking forward for the baseball stadium.

Nice simple vig Fistach! It's very well-done for such a small build, I like it a lot!

Wow, this is a great creation Deviet, I just love how you perfectly depicted the scene with the mage summoning the sea monster. Impressive water splash effects, and the sea monster does look terrifying. Just a question, are those black claw-like things part of the monster? Again, excellent job and best of luck in the competition!

Excellent review TheBrickster! Very nice presentation using the wooden backdrop for the photos. I also like the comparison photo with the classic Rocky River Retreat. Regarding the set, my opinion has not changed from my initial judgment of this set back when the prelims surfaced. I still feel the previous two Creator houses (Beach House & Apple Tree House) is better than this one. It's not that bad actually, it's just that Beach House kinda 'set the bar too high' in terms of Creator House designs that this one pales in comparison.

REVIEW: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue
XimenaPaulina replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for sharing this great PQ review Hinckley! Though I feel this seems to be the 'weakest' set in the PQ line-up. I'm not really sold to the brickbuilt giant cobra, the rather simple build of the jeep, and the unexciting pair of protagonist minifigs. The smaller set with the motorcycle is better IMO. -
Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

After my duel with Ollivander, I'll take you Hupplepuff. -
My childhood happened to be in the late 80s/early 90s but somehow living in a remote country has deprived me of these "Battle Beasts". But I must say those are very excellent customs, a quality work we've always seen from you Morgan19. It's nice to see how you perfectly combined lego parts, custom pieces, and (if my assumption is correct) official Battle Beast figure heads to create these wonderful figures. My favorite among the batch is the Ultra Unicorn and the Jagged Jackrabbit. Again, truly an impressive work worthy of your MOC Expert tag.

Another quality Winter Village Entry! I simply love the high angled roof, as well as the perfect use of the arch piece in the front of the roof. The clever positioning of the various white slopes really approximate real-life snow on the roof and pavements. And that trans-blue flame piece for the icicles is a pretty neat detail. Very good job Jameson42 and good luck in the contest!

This is a really nice entry Cornelius, just a brilliant 'business' idea taking advantage of the recent proliferation of candy shops in the Winter Village. I like the Christmasy decorations outside, and the interior details are spot-on for a dentistry. The facial expresions of the clients are also perfect for their ordeals. Great job and best of luck in the contest!

Yep that's the red one that appeared in Point Rain, and AFAIK it hasn't appeared in any other episodes. Assuming the rumors are correct, it's not actually surprising for TLG throwing this red Y-Wing randomly with other ships/vehicles in strange settings together. We should all know this better by now. EDIT: I stand corrected. brickbuilder's photo shows a red Y-Wing in the Zillo Beast epi.
-
My name really has to be dragged in this conversation does it? Anyway, I agree that the Y-Wings that attacked the Malevolence were yellow, the red Y-Wings made their first appearance in Landing at Point Rain. I'm not so sure if I saw Y-Wings in the Zillo Beast story arc, I still have to check that out and grab some, uhm, screenshots to confirm. EDIT: Here you go, screenshot courtesy of def from the Rewatching the Clone Wars thread. The Y-Wings in the Zillo Beast episode is yellow.

Spray/Brush Painting Lego - How?
XimenaPaulina replied to Joey Lock's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I have done quite a fair share of my time spray painting Lego pieces when customizing my Lego sets, so I though of sharing what I've learned in spray painting when I'm doing my MOCs/MODs. I'm not really trained on this, I just experimented until I got the right technique using spray paint on Lego. Tips & Techniques: 1) First, buy the spray paint color(s) that you want. I usually buy the canned ones, but if you have enough budget, you might want to try the more advanced hand-held spray paints with nozzles. Also, when buying a particular color, I usually bring a lego piece of the similar color of interest for reference purposes. 2) Before beginning, make sure that the lego piece(s) your painting are clean, dust-free, and dry. 3) Safety First! Since spray paints are highly volatile and contains VOC (volatile organic content), it's a must that you wear a protective mask when you're spray painting. Try to work in an open area with proper air ventilation. And keep away from sources of ignition or fire/flame. This practice is not recommended for kids, they should seek their parents' permission/supervision/assistance before doing this activity. 4) To have optimum result, avoid painting in extreme humidity, and paint when the temperature ranges between 50 - 90° F. If there is windy and dusty air, avoid painting as the dust may settle on the wet paint. 5) Cover the floor/table/or surface where you'll be painting your piece(s) with newspaper. When painting multiple pieces, I usually detach them from each other and lay them out on the newspaper. 6) Aim the nozzle on the pieces, holding the spray at a distance of 10 - 14 inches away from the surface/piece. 7) Start spray painting on a side-to-side direction, sweeping the parts from left to right, then right to left until the surface of the lego piece has been painted. 8) The most important point to be kept in mind while spray painting is to spray thin coats of paint and keep the spray nozzle moving. Don't stop your hand, else the paint will accumulate at one spot. 9) Let the paint dry (usually 5-10 mins. depending on the type of spray paint that you used and the coat thickness that you applied). After drying, turn the pieces on the other side and do the same steps to paint the unpainted surface. 10) After completely spraypainting the piece(s) and it has thouroughly dried, you may apply a clear coat for protection (optional). 11) In special cases that you only want to spray only part of a certain piece, you could use the masking tape technique where you cover the parts that you don't want to paint with masking tape before spray painting the piece. 12) Once you are done with the painting, hold the can upside down and press the nozzle until no paint comes out. This will clear the paint from the nozzle so that it can be used in future. 13) Clean before you go! Well, I hope that helps! EDIT: Though this is a general question, this can also be applied on customizing minifigs, so it's quite acceptable for this topic to be here on MCW. -

Round 3 DS sent! -
Amazing work as always AC! I simply love the overall serene peaceful feel of the whole build. It's nice to see you build something 'small' for a change, and once again it doesn't disappoint since the design expertise is clearly evident on the clever use of those unique glass panes and the chandelier and glass mosaic details inside. Even the reindeer sleigh adds a nice touch. Good luck in the contest!

Wow, this is a great first attempt at building a modular house, really very impressive! I actually like the right amount of details you put in the exterior design, not lacking yet not too much either, just right smack in the middle. Very well-done alois!

MOC: Mitre 10 Hardware Store and other shops
XimenaPaulina replied to lightningtiger's topic in LEGO Town
Another quality build lightningtiger, the blue and red colors side-by-side look good IMO. I love the smooth exterior finish of both buildings, can't wait to see how the interiors develop. Great work as usual! -
Very nice one Darkblane! A really unique concept for a turkey build, and interesting backstory too. I really like the overall design of this massive 'Turkey Walker'. Excellent photos as always. Awesome work!

Review: 30032 World Race Buggy
XimenaPaulina replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Pretty neat review MB, it's really nice to see reviews of some of the less-popular sets like this one, I would have not known this existed until I read this review. I like the duel-printed minifig torso on this one. BTW, I think the overall score should be 25/30, not 25/40. -
Commanderneyo, we appreciate you for providing some info to us. But pls. do not expect people to believe you right away. Do understand that most of the time, people are skeptical about new rumors, especially from a new member who hasn't yet established his credibility. Remember that credibility and reliability is earned through time, and you will have your chance to vindicate yourself if the info you provided us will turn out to be true. But for now, all we could do is wait for concrete evidence (read: photos) or word from already-established sources (Navy Trooper Fenson, Jedi-News, etc.). I know some members might have been harsh on you, just try to understand them (the way most members also understand you). Also, maybe not always mentioning your friend Jordan and his grandpa will also help.

Hufflepuff Adept Frankfurt Flashburn versus Hufflepuff Adept Okay Turkoglu (Pls. ignore the erroneous health bars in the photo) Round 3 Frankfurt Flashburn l 1 _____________________Okay Turkoglu l 3 Expelliarmus! - 0______________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Stupefy! - 1__________________________________High - 0 Mid - 0______________________________________Mid - 0 Low - 0_____________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Mid - 0 _____________________________________Low - 1 Health: 0_____________________________________Health: 2 Frankfurt is hanging on for dear life at the start of the decisive round, and he immediately attempts to disarm his fellow Hufflepuff but Okay counters with the same Expelliarmus. Frankfurt sees an opening and was able to hit Okay with a stunning Stupefy. He tries to follow-up with a bodyshot but was countered with the same attack by Okay. The Turk has had enough and finally ended the duel with a Stupefy that knocks Frankfurt cold-blooded into the ground. Okay walks away from the duel as the Hufflepuff's first Magus duelist. Winner: Okay Turkoglu! Congratulations Oky! Okay is now a Magus (and now has no reason not duel Ms. Fabray ) Better luck next time Cornelius, you'll get there soon eventually, just keep trying. You may now update your character profiles accordingly.
