  1. Ooh nice! Just goes to show that great MOCers think alike! I like the redesigned Scout Trooper, I think it's the right call to give it black legs considering it has more black in the legs compared to the all-white legs of Stormies:
  2. Unofficial Vote Tally: The Snake Charmer: 3 (Penalty, Penalty, TrumpetKing) The Usurper: 10 (Hinckley, Tamamono, jamesn, mostlytechnic, Rufus, Kadabra, Piratedave84, Bob, KielDaMan, Adam) Yet to vote: fhomess, Esurient, Purpearljellyblob, Waterbrick Down, Darth Potato Given that both Darth Potato and TrumpetKing are scum, it would be really interesting to see how the last 3 scum will vote. Has anyone of them voted already? If they will go along with the town, they will probably not vote very late so as not to look suspicious.
  3. Lynching a scum matters little to town? Tee Hee! Unvote: The Snake Charmer (DarthPotato) Vote: The Usurper (TrumpetKing)
  4. Here's my Pill Spreadsheet with the info on who revealed which pill today: The only "blank" I have is the Riot Pill, unless I missed on its revelation today (I did check twice the whole game thread today), so is that the other Upper? Note that both players who took the Riot Pill, Piratedave84 and Bob, never made an effort to share their pills' effects (both their previous pills).
  5. Good catch Cult Leader. I missed that detail myself. It's quite a relief knowing that we now have a numerically-possible chance of lynching the Snake Charmer today. The only drawback I see is now the scum have no reason not to vote and save their fellow scum so they'll simply go with the town majority, depriving us some valuable info in possibly knowing who they are. But I'd be more than happy to see the Snake Charmer lynched today, unless we have another confirmed scum to lynch in order to save the lifesaver pill.
  6. I'm all for lynching the Snake Charmer. It's a win-win situation for the town. It's either the scum go with the majority town vote or expose themselves. Pick your poison. Stupid scum. Fakevote: Snake Charmer (DarthPotato) And I'll take The Lightsaber Pill.
  7. I'm all for an open game at this stage, as this will make things faster for us to draw out the scum. Vote: Yes for Reveal All Plan I don't think it matters since I assume Hinck already knows this but I got two placebos the first two days: Rum = placebo Pill of Valhalla = placebo So are we also revealing if we are PR or Vanillas right now?
  8. The designer (marcosbessa) really did an exemplary job on this lovely Ewok Village! You could see how this is a work a brilliant MOCer coming from the AFOL community with all the clever building techniques we haven't seen before (rope walkbridge, the convincingly organic-looking huge trees, etc.) while meeting the building standards of a LEGO set. Unfortunately for me the price is out of my budget range, and with other amazing sets around, I would have to skip this one out. But great for those who will get it for their LSW collection. Now I wonder how OT fans who hated didn't like ewoks in ROTJ feel about this set...
  9. Sorry for bringing this out, I just need some clarification. It really struck me odd that the first two pill requests today were for this Fairy Tale pill: It may be just pure coincidence, but I can't help but get suspicious when both of you picked the same pills at the start as if the two of you already know the effects of that pill. That is our best case scenario for now. But if the Witch's claim about the pill is verified to be true, we should not discount the possibility of the Witch being a scum or the SK or the role-claiming "Vig" being town (who was just blocked last night) You think the scum will risk exposing themselves by getting that powerful pill? If anything it may have just the opposite effect, so watch out also for the people who would shy away from getting that pill, as scum wouldn't want to draw unnecessary attention to them this early, and if there's anyone who have low possibility of getting killed, it would be them killer scummos (along with the super-powered SK).
  10. Very helpful Hinckley with your abrasive attitude. Good job. Pls. continue doing so in the best interest of the town.
  11. And in fairness to you Hinckley, I did tell Kristel that it would be "odd" and "arrogant" of you if you did broadcast your kill target (even hinting) if you were scum. Again, I was just keeping my word to relay her message.
  12. I was simply stating her own words. If you or anyone else is curious and would like to know the exact wording of Kristel's message, I'll be more than welcome to share them privately.
  13. I believe the "mud-slinging" she was referring to was in the game thread, not privately. Kristel never mentioned to me that she was in contact with you privately.
  14. I would like to share something to the rest of the town, to keep my promise to a now-departed fellow townie. The Vanilla Townie (Kristel) talked to me privately yesterday, and shared her suspicions and findings on "a couple" of people (pun intended), namely the lovers The Loverboy (LegoDad) and The Female Lover (Hinckley). Since I cannot directly quote PMs I will just give the paraphrased summary of her message: 1. She received a PM from LegoDad shortly after her post questioning his behaviour was less helpful than the previous time they played together. She thought LegoDad's PM and response in the game thread was balanced and sensible. She received another PM from LegoDad asking her on her thoughts on Hinckley (Hinckley was slinging lots of mud her way at that point, saying they were lovers but that she wasn't given any information about this). Kristel was thinking that if the lovers are just character names, then that makes sense. Otherwise, she thought it was just a blatant lie. Kristel also noted that she noticed Hinckley starting off aggressive and then changing his tune to a helpful townie, and as such she had him in her "scum list". 2. In the same PM conversation with LegoDad, Kristel mentioned that Rufus had pinged on her radar for his behavior of "suddenly coming out of the blue", making his statement and left again. 20 minutes or so after LegoDad read that PM (based on the read timestamp), Hinckley came out with this post about Rufus and the "drunk lady": Emphasis on the bolded part. Kristel thought that given her tag (Drunk, nervous and giggling), she was thinking at that stage that she will be scum killed last night. (which turned out to be true ). She did admit that she could be wrong and the Lovers could both be town and she just read way too much into Hinckley's post. Or she thought Hinckley or LegoDad could be the town vig and planned to take her out last night because they think she was scum. Either way, Kristel wanted this information to be known to town in case she die, and here I am bringing out her message to all of you. Now it's up to all of you how you will read on this. I think the main point Kristel was driving at is we should take a closer look at both LegoDad and Hinckley. Personally, I noticed the two of them have rather been busy posting "lovers role-playing" along with their game-related posts. One can read it as "trying hard to be active" behavior of scum or they may be both genuinely town that are just role-playing off each other or it could be one of them is actually scum! I think the lovers certainly need to be "looked at" (if you know what I mean...).
  15. It's time to join the party! After 13 long years I'm back to my original hobby which is drawing (hard to believe it's been that long since I drew ). I'm no professional artist by any means, this is just a favorite pastime of mine since I was a little kid. My favorite drawing medium is pencil, since it allows for easy corrections and I find the different shading effect useful. Sometimes I do ink, and I suck at coloring so most of my drawings are greyscale. I have many drawings way back, I would've wanted to post them here but sadly it's gone missing in my parents' house in the province. So I started anew, and here is my first drawing, which I'm planning to do a series of: Eurobricks Admin Overlords by KielDaMan (devianART) Hope you liked it! More to come!
  16. After hearing from previous games that I was tactless, aggressive, even "rude", and all the talk about "honesty blah blah", I realize I had to change my style of game in a more composed and calm tone. It may strike you off but I'm trying to improve to hopefully help the town better without 'ticking' others off. If I will be metagamed by that, either positively or negatively, then so be it since I have no control on what others think of me. I'm just doing what I think is the best for town. This is why I didn't want to share my conversation with the SK since I felt it would be best answered by him, and by the way things are going with his sudden absence it looks like I'm answering for him and other people think I'm defending him. I don't even know if the guy is town or scum, all I'm saying is I have a reason why I don't think he was being serious with his "logically-flawed" posts - because he told me privately about this. That is my personal belief. The rest of you could form their own judgment based on what I shared. @Rufus: I don't know why he didn't mention the one unvote rule publicly. He is the only one who could answer that. Also, I don't know if he had time to "punce on the little mistakes of other" plan. Again, only he can answer. @Hinckley, I shared the conversation info so people would know why he made those "logically-flawed" posts. It is up to them to decide if his reason for doing that is valid or scummy. My personal take is that a player of Walter's caliber wouldn't do such a careless gaffe, so I didn't take his posts seriously. To the person who questioned why I didn't post my part of the conversation: I intentionally removed it since majority of them are useless out-of-game replies and I didn't think it mattered. If you (or anyone else who's curious about it), I could give you our exact conversations privately. If people will become suspicious of me because of this perceived defense of the SK, then I'm open for any type of investigation (cop, role cop, etc.). Though I have a feeling that I may be killed by the scum due my activity.
  17. We have 12 hours remaining and it seems we have yet to reach a conclusive majority decision... Worse, one of the main lynch candidates, the Serial Killer (Walter Kovacs), has yet to answer the accusations against him, which many of us are waiting for, including me even if I don't actually suspect him. This is quite an unusual behavior from him, so I hope everything is fine with him outside this predicament we're in. In the interest of moving things forward, I'd share with you what I know of the SK. I didn't want to do this, but with time running out awaiting for an explanation from the SK, I'll just share it for the rest so you may make an informed decision. I have been in contact with the SK, with him initiating our private conversation. Here is how our conversation went, along with his relevant in-game posts (note that I paraphrased the original messages so I wouldn't break the "no direct quoting of PMs rule") May 24, 5:40AM - Start of Day 1 May 24, 10:58PM - SK takes his pill. May 24, 11:05PM - SK makes his logically-flawed role-playing post regarding the BONAD (Post #49) May 24, 11:26PM - SK "amends" his logically-flawed role-playing post regarding the BONAD (Post #54) May 25, 12:04AM - SK PMs The Role Cop (me). SK: Hi RoleCop! You seem to be Town based on your posts. Got any ideas how could we make people talk? It seems to be awfully quiet and it's not a good sign. I've been trying to make nonsensical posts hoping to elicit reactions, but not helping much though. May 25, 2:19AM PM to KDM, SK: We need to find a way to draw out the scum. I plan to pounce on little mistakes made by others, and see if anyone flails. Hope it bears fruit. May 25, 4:36AM: PM to KDM, SK: I read the rules carefully and it seems we have only one unvote... May 25, 5:00AM. SK makes a post regarding random voting and questioning the jester (Post #81) May 25, 8:24AM, The Vanilla Townie (Kristel) makes his accusations on several players, including the SK. May 25, 12:01PM: The Talking Animal (mostlytechnic) finds the SK's talk scummy. (Post #105) May 25, 5:47PM: The Female Lover (Hinckley) agrees with the Kristel's suspicion on the SK. (Post #107) May 26, 12:00AM Last time time the SK was active as stated in his profile page room. May 26, 1:15AM, The First Day Lynch (jamesn) agrees with Hinckley and Kristel about the SK May 26, 1:28AM: The Talking animal votes for the SK... ... and so on and so forth... --- So take these bits of info as you want. While I don't completely trust the SK, I still don't find his posts as work of a scum. For him to be active at the start and then suddenly be inactive and even not defend himself against the accusations on him is really unusual for him. As for the matter of voting, I admit I'm having trouble picking someone for a good reason. Someone who pinged on me today was The PGO (Purpearljellyblob), who suddenly made a "summarizing post" (Post #143) after posting only twice prior. This type of "summarizing post" is usually a good technique to make one's self look active and be in the middle-of-the-pack (not too active nor silent). I find the way it was written to be 'safe' and 'forced', compared to other players' posts which register to me as bumbling 'inexperienced' posts but genuine (like TrumpetKing, Fred Daniel Yam). I know this isn't much to go with, but after some process of elimination on my personal list I will: Vote: The PGO (Purpearljellyblob) Since I will not be present during the last 10 hours or so of the day this will be my final vote.
  18. Beautiful review of an even more beautiful set Oky! Unlike you, the first time I saw this from the prelim pics I already loved it! Not because it was a Friends set, but I liked it for the fact that we'll be getting a properly-sized luxury cruiser, and with Friends sets being minifig-scale, this will fit it seamlessly with any town bay set-up. For me, this is without a doubt the best Friends set ever released. I don't see any aspect that is disappointing in this set, and I pretty much agree with your ratings. 'Can't wait to pick this up also! Thanks again for sharing your "manly" take on this set!
  19. Maybe because since this is part of a license and TLG had to correct the error as part of their obligation to the Disney license (?). Good thing the correction was made and lucky for the new buyers who'll get extra pieces. Someone also pointed this out in my Cavalry Builder Set review with the cavalry soldiers' torsos not having flesh prints, so intentional move or not by the designers, the flexibility of usage of these parts is certainly most welcome. Yeah the stagecoach's size is the main issue of this set as have been pointed out countless times. I understand the designers' perspective of choosing stability, functionality, and overall aesthetics and compromising the relative proportion with minifigs. The quick fix to address the size issue is to downgrade the wheels into their next smaller sizes, or you could modify the whole stagecoach altogether to make it more minifig-scale-accurate like in the mod that I did.
  20. I understand your explanations so I'll put down my initial suspicion on you for the meantime. --- With the risk of being seen as defending Serial Killer's (Walter Kovacs), one thing that I really find surprising are the way several players seem to to have (mis)interpreted the SK's "logic" statement, which to me registered as simply as role-playing (that's why I think we should ALL stop doing this king of roleplaying anymore so as not to cause further confusion to the town). These are the people who took SK's post seriously: Vanilla Townie (Kristel) Talking Animal (mostlytechnic) - voted for the SK Female Lover (Hinckley) - doubted the "logic" but didn't vote for him Usurper (TrumpetKing) - fakevoted the SK, would like to hear SK's defense First Day Lynch (jamesn) - voted for the SK Serious Roleplayer (Tamamono) - "agreed" with the Vanilla's hunch on SK, waits for SK's defense Godfather (Kadabra) - believes SK's logic is way-off, would like to hear from the SK PGO (purplejellyjob) - will consider voting the SK after he hears the defense Players who didn't take the SK's logic post seriously: Snake Charmer (Darth Potato) Treestump (Adam) I personally believe the SK wasn't being serious with that "logic" post. A player of his stature wouldn't make such a careless gaffe if he was scum, IMO. If there's anything we could probably look at are those people who conveniently "agreed" with the Vanilla/Kristel's initial suspicion on the SK. I think someone among those people, especially those in the "middle-pack" may be scum. I'm still narrowing down at the moment who I'd like to vote among these players. The only thing not going for the SK at this point is he seems to have not responded to the accusations against him, even if he already logged-in in Eurobricks woke up. We need to hear from you SK.
  21. Some might've overlooked this detail in the game rules, so just to remind everybody: So let us all be careful with casting our votes (even if there's no concrete case yet this early). It would've been better if there was no unvoting limitation such as this so we could extract more reactions from accusations, but let's just exercise extra care with the voting ok? (thanks to a fellow player who pointed this out to me also privately) --- I realize I have been quite inactive today myself despite my observation earlier that the overall silence isn't an encouraging sign for the town, so pls. excuse me since I was quite busy doing something outside our grey-baseplated world. But I was peeking in the room from time-to-time and listening to the on-going conversations, and here are my observations: 1. The first few accusations, no matter how weak and baseless they are, are most likely to be random town accusations, as I don't see the scum drawing unnecessary attention and scrutiny at this early stage of the game. So at least for the time being, personally, I'm clearing the NPC (Esurient), the First Day Lynch (jamesn) and the bald Vanilla (Kristel) for this particular reason. 2. Those who jumped over those who made the early accusations are people to watch out for. The Goon (fhomess), the Usurper (TrumpetKing). Not really high-level threats but we could go back at their posts when the need arises. 3. Like what the Female Lover mentioned, the silent and inactive players are the most suspicious ones (unfortunately, including me as per Hinck's list ). I agree most likely the scum could be hiding there. So who am I suspecting at this point? One person that seems to be "off" his usual town game is The Cop (def). Yes he has posted 8 times but most of it are playful role-playing only. He may have his own reasons but I was expecting something more from a player his caliber. And what's even more surprising is the Female Lover seems to have conveniently dismissed this on her list just because his post count is relatively high compared to others (?). Sorry for mentioning this but it seems rather unnatural to see the Female Lover and the Cop in "very friendly terms" this early part of the game.
