Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
XimenaPaulina replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
CF, have you sent your Round 3 DS yet? It seems you have missed it yesterday when you were online. -
Excellent MOC Teazza! Every detail of it is exactly what I imagined of the perfect representation of a SWAT Truck in Lego form. Of course the all-black color scheme is spot-on, but I also like the 'lowered' wheels and the compartment door. Your custom SWAT team are equally great too. It's nice to see them fit snugly inside and ready for some action! Really impressive work!

Spectacularly spooky indeed! I like how you constructed the carriage in an unorthodox design to fit perfectly well with the skeleton minions. Great work LEGO Ink!

Nice new shots Cloney, I saw the sandtrooper one on flickr earlier, and I like it! This new clones-need-haircut shot kinda reminds me of my Everyday Life contest entry, maybe these clones should join their 'caveman comrade' and have a fashionable haircut at Kielito Buu's Hair Salon and Spa. @Cutlass Iz, it's nice of you joining the party, hope more members will share their funny contributions here. Of course they are!

Time Passes Slowly in the Shadow of the Sphinx
XimenaPaulina replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Excellent creation Athos! The evolution of the Sphinx is very well conveyed in these three builds. I love the first one with the Sphinx just starting to be built. Great job and good luck! -
You're right, they've completely ignored the twin laser cannons! WTH!? I failed to notice that at first, simply because of its 'ghastly unsightliness'. TLG surely is going in the wrong direction in redesigning their Delta 7Bs. Without sounding too rude, I think they should just stop making JSFs if they will not be doing it right (or even half-decent). But among the choices that you gave, only Fisto's JSF has been shown in the series. Luminara has one but only appeared in a measly kid's trading card game. The other jedi don't have their JSFs yet, though Saesee seems will have one in the second half of Series 3: But I do agree the positive point about having JSFs is the introduction of new astromechs. I simply love these droids.

[Review] 7930 Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship
XimenaPaulina replied to 501st Commando's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well done review 501st Commando, thanks for sharing! The minifigures are definitely the 'stars' of this set, all those prints are really accurate (though I still would've wanted Sugi to have her signature T-shaped ponytail). The gunship is just alright, not that spectacular for me and just decent at the very best. -
Tactical Droids are supposed to be tall. In fact they are the same height as the SBDs (1.93m), compared to the B1s (1.91m), which makes perfect sense of the use of the SBD legs.

Thanks for these new pics Lego-Freak! Mace's astromech looks really good with very accurate colors. And I'm lovin' that new tactical droid. However, Mace's JSF is just (why did the sides of the cockpit suddenly become that bulbous? ). This is probably the 'weakest' of all the triangles TLG has released. I'm eagerly looking forward getting the Geonosis set to finally have Luminara and Rex.

This is just an absolutely amazing MOC thire5! You really captured the overall look of the T-800 perfectly. The details are just awesome, highlighted by the LED eyes. I'm also lovin' the skeleton 'dump' at the base, which is also very well done. Simply one of the most ingenious MOCs I've seen this year, excellent work!

Can LEGO be damaged by heat/cold extremes?
XimenaPaulina replied to Hyun's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd take Davey's word for it since he's the thermoplastic engineer who knows the various properties of plastic products. But I'd say, even without the knowledge of the actual Lego ABS formulation, those Lego sets in the car trunk will be just fine. If the parts were physically exposed against the extreme cold weather for an extended period of time, then it might affect the mechanical properties, but leaving it inside the car trunk for a couple of weeks? I don't think it will hardly have any effect on the lego pieces at all.- 77 replies

Wow, this is truly a very unique and wonderful idea for your Winter Village entry Nieks! Both the house and the snowman tower are very well done, quite clever use of the tires for the hat too. Simply a fantastic creation overall! Best of luck in the contest!

Walt Disney's Aladdin
XimenaPaulina replied to tin7_creations's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow, Jasmine is simply spot-on! I'm lovin' her custom hairpiece, the details are very accurate. The improvements in Aladdin and Genie are also remarkable. Great work as always tin7! -
KielDaMan's Custom Star Wars Minifigures
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I think I'm done for the year, and will resume with my custom minifigs by January. I still have to improve my Commander Colt and Cold-Assault Rex customs. For new ones, I'm planning to do the Galactic Marines (21st Nova Corps), Geonosis ARFs, some custom Jedi (including the new-look Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Mace) , and select members of the Republic Senate. Thanks for the comments! -
What's the best Minifigure ever made?
XimenaPaulina replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Not to revive an old topic or anything, but there was a similar topic that I started last year when I was just a noob. --> Top 5 Minifigs Of All-Time (broken down to the five major themes: Town/City, Pirates, Castle, Space, Licensed/Other Themes). It was a short-lived topic, and just died a natural death. -
Your second version looks much better now with the change in the side details (clever use of that grille piece) and the more spacing of the plates at the back. Very nice improvements!

I'd have to go with Kit Fisto: -
WOW! Thank you so much Jeb! And you even did my alter-ego Kielito Buu! Both of these are just wonderfully-done. It's such a distinct honor to be immortalized in Jebediah avatar artform. You really are the master! Thank you once again and have a well-deserved Christmas break with your family. Merry Christmas!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Nah, you could have your 10 bucks. Looks like you're right (below). Well IMO, it would have been really great for the whole series if Ahsoka totally lost it and fell completely fell to the Dark Side.
