The 6-wide truck is simply fantastic! I really like the design of the long-nosed truck and the functionality that you've added in the flatbed. Quite a nice use of that <insert that tiresome argument> tile piece for the flatbed too. Great job overall legomaniac83!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Considering the expected high price, I would think they would put exclusive figs in the Consular Frigate set (like putting the then-exclusive Palpatine and Senate Commandos in the similarly-sized Venator set). But beware OT fans, this one would presumably the CW-type of Consular with the white-dark red stripes Republic colors, so the minifigs will be your hated CW-types. Some of the rumored figs that were thrown out there in the discussions were: - Yoda, Lt. Thire, Jek, Rys (clones with intricate prints) from the Ambush episode - Anakin, Admiral Yularen, Naval Officers - Aayla, Comm. Bly from the Jedi Crash episode - Quinlan Vos (?) These are just pure speculations, no hard evidence to back it up. -
A truly lovely creation Skalldyr! The whole build really captures this fairy-tale scene perfectly! I'm lovin' the floral surroundings and the unconventional shape of the base. Sleeping Beauty and her Prince Charming are very well customized too. Great work and best of luck in the contest!

That's quite a nice collection of speeders Ar Sparfel! I love speeders and I think you did a pretty good job with these. I undestand your choice of color scheme of each to match their designated owner/driver. I like Vader's the most, it's the sleekest among the bunch and very conservative color with the all-black paint job. Great work in all of these!

Hmm, that's quite an interesting take on the Endor bunker sci-fi, not bad considering you made this with only your available parts (I assume). But I agree with Doc, if you really want to build the Endor bunker it's best to just get the official set and expand that. But if your intention was just to practice your MOCing skills, then I'd say you did a pretty decent job on that.

2011 Bricks and more / Other sets
XimenaPaulina replied to The Yellow Brick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for sharing this The Red Brick! Some interesting sets, the one that catches my attention, and what will be most useful to me, is the Hear Book. I already know what I'll do with it. -
Very well done Baylego, the 'waving' flag effect is quite realistic, though it's a shame that a brick-built star pattern cannot be achieved at such small scale. Still, nice work on this one!
-
Very nice entry Darkblane! Funny concept, and even brilliant photography! Great job and good luck in the contest!
-
Great use of the Collectible Minifigures, nice one Bobskink! But if you have more of those figs, it would be nice to see more of them in your tree.
-
Yup, same here, your second one is the more appropriate photo for the contest IMO - a shot focusing on a single scene, now we could fully appreciate the superb lightning that you did there. That's really very impressive lighting effects, and even better job capturing it vividly in the photograph. This is a formidable entry I must say. Great work and good luck!

Very nice work on this modular building SalvoBrick! I really like it a lot, it's simplicity is very beautiful IMO. Looking forward how you'll further improve this with your proper amount of parts and pieces.

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Thanks Oky, it would certainly mean a lot more to me when Ms. Fabray finally becomes a Death-Eater so she'll be able to negate the 'advantages' of all the naturally talented Maguses that has beaten her before. But first things first, I need one more victory and as they say, the last one is always the toughest one. But in the spirit of the holidays, Diana will take her Christmas beauty break and will just resume probably next week. -
Excellent MOC pif500! I see a lot of interesting and very clever techniques you've pulled-off here, like the snowball throwing effect, the squeezed-in snow between the leaves of the trees, and the small patch of ice-skating sheet. And like what the others have said, it's nice to see how the different themes are well-represented by the featured minifgs in this Christmas MOC.
-
That's indeed and amazing Christmas display! Lots of interesting details going on there, from the giant Christmas tree, to the ice-skating rink, to the beautifully-built train station, and to the wide array of characters like Snoopy & Charlie Brown, Toy Story pals, Stormies, and even the Grinch! Simply a fantastic job you've done here DHCP1121!

What a very lovely entry R66Y! I really like the color scheme that you used for this school house, very effective color combo that perfectly stands-out amidst the snowy surroundings. The other elements are very well done too, particularly the mini-playground and the horse carriage. This could actually pass up as a Winter Village set IMO, considering the piece count and elements that you've put in here. Great work overall and good luck in the contest!

Yeah, majority of the design might be the same, and will just be changed to the Republic colors as we've seen in the CW series. I believe this will be a great time for TLG to release a Comm. Bly figure, as I remember the Jedi Crash episode where Bly and Aayla was on a Consular. But then again, the minifigs might be based on the episode Ambush which featured Lt. Thire, Jek, and Rys together with Yoda (as previously mentioned by commanderneyo). We really need some new news regarding this set (and the other sets of the 2011 2nd half for that matter).

That's quite a nice collection of alien minifigs Baylego! It's actually great to see them hanging out in one place, though I think this hangout could've used some walls and additional details. But still, it's already good as it is, nice work!
-
It's nice to finally see some photo, no matter how small it is, confirming this Consular Frigate set. So I would assume this will be an updated version of the previous red one? Do we have any rumors of the possible minifigs included?
-
Two entries? One night? Not your best work? Wow, my eyes might be fooling me but both of these are certainly outstanding piece of work the way I see it. I agree the first one is better, a very effective build depicting the fight with the troll, together with your signature stacked round plates-wall detailing. The second is pretty good too. Overall, just great job on both of these entries Derfel. Best of luck in the competition!
-
Whoa! What a great entry Solscud! Very good job on Christmasifying the Death Star, lots of interesting scenes to look at. However, as great as this MOC is, I just feel that the 'lots of things' going on there might become a slight distraction to the whole entry. I've always thought that this photo contest will focus mainly on a single shot depicting a Christmas scene using SW elements, and will not be based on how grand the presentation is. But that's just my opinion, and it'll be the judges who'll have the final say. But with regards to your build, it is undoubtedly very well-done. I wish you the best in the competition!

Very nice entry CM, a great way to kick-start the photo contest. Good luck in the contest!

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
XimenaPaulina replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Unfortunately, you were at the receiving of that one the last time I used that strategy. Anyway, thanks for the ADJ Walter and CF for the duel. -
Nice decals Severus! Will you be using these in your customs? I would certainly like to see this applied in a minifig. Anyway, good work on this one!

Season 1 Episode 20 - Innocents of Ryloth. You made me re-watch the episode just to confirm this. The tactical droid was specifically named Commander TX-20. Though I think it would just be named as a generic tactical droid in the set. And a bit of comic-relief with this episode featuring this tactical droid:
