Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Based on these images I don't see any similarity, as the RA-7 lacks the distinct circular thingy on the standard 3P0 protocol droid. But yeah, like you said these are minor things that only 'geeks like us' will bother to discuss. -

Yeah RA-7s were extensively used in the DS, but it still has no connection whatsoever with the black protocol droid in the DS playset, which is clearly a 3P0 based on the head and torso print. I guess they just randomly put it in there together with the black astromech without any reference to any specific named droid (unlike R2-Q5). -
Excellent shot fenris! I'd assume that is pure photography right? Great job then on capturing the dummy-in-the-air shot.

I don't remember seeing any black protocol droid in the movies, and Wookieepedia doesn't have any entry of such appearing in the movies. Maybe that's why it was just labeled as 'black protocol droid' in the DS playset. If it had a specific name I see no reason why they wouldn't name it properly (like C-3PO and K3PO). -
Another well done SW MOC Mood, it's really nice to see this crossover of the X-Wing with a Mech. The huge back X-wings reminds me a lot of those of we see in Gundam robots. Great job!

[Review] Star Wars Celebration 1 Duplo Promo Brick, 1999
XimenaPaulina replied to Tervlon's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Interesting, I wasn't aware of the existence of this freebie SW brick, so thanks for sharing this short and sweet 'review' Tervlon! For some reason, I really like that '99 PM minifigs logo - so classic and nostalgic. -
Another excellent military vehicle MacK! The overall shape really gives the impression that the vehicle is very effectively-armored, and I just love that well-built rocket launcher. Great job as usual!

Looks like your girl got what she wanted with this smokin' hot Hot Rod! Fantastic detailing overall, especially on the engines and that unique skull front bumper. Awesome job -zenn!

Pharoh's Quest Steampunk Thingy MOC
XimenaPaulina replied to CptMugwash's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nicely done MOCs CaptMugwash! The first one reminds me a lot of a Dieselpunk version of the SW AT-RT, from the overall shape, to the legs, and that 'crotch gun'! The second one also resembles the SW spider droid, though I agree the legs seem to be a bit fragile for the relative weight it carries. But still, these two are very nice MOCs, good job! -
Who would've thought it is possible to achieve pointy and curvy wing elements, and this is what really makes you a MOC expert Rook, you just keep making the improbable possible! Those wings are just epic, simply an outstanding work!

Wow, I'm thoroughly impressed with this improved version of your ISP brickartist! This one is definitely much much better than the original version. I simply love the SNOT build, the wider rear half circle, and the more accurate front blasters, seats, and rear engines. I'm already satisfied with this one, so no more suggestions from me. Though I agree that with this improved and more accurate version you might've exceeded a bit on the minifig-scale, but no worries, it's a great overall model the way I see it. Excellent work!

Very well done battle scene Plissken! The structure ruins is nicely-built and the action posing of the clones and Mandos are very effective. Great job! That is one thing Arealight's Mando jetpack is better than TLG's version, you can put flame pieces on Arealight's but not on this one.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
XimenaPaulina replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
It's great to finally see the PoTC sets in all their glory on these crystal-clear pictures! I must say this is looking to be one of the best Licensed themes TLG has ever released, the new sets have lots of new elements, parts, pieces, and characters to offer. Overall those sets look really great and very worthy to buy IMO. -
Harriet Clive is your fellow slut 'boobie' sister in Werewolf Mafia, so it's gotta be Hinck. (even if I'm not in the game, I'm always reading all the craziness going on there )

I saw the new photo in your signature, and I must say, as great as the first one was, this one looks much better. The grey scale tone fits perfectly the classic Batman genre where this Batboad appeared. Great job once again!
-
Very well done modular corner book store alois! I really like the unique combination of tan-yellow with the darker shades of grey and black. The exterior architecture is simply wonderful and is very consistent with the rest of your modular buildings. Outstanding work!

Welcome to EB omerai, and thank you for sharing your wonderful LDD Castle MOC. I would have to agree with the others, this has got to be one of the best LDD castle MOCs I've seen so far, which is truly worthy to be included in our LDD MOC Index. Excellent work!

Another excellent creation Rook! That's a very ingenious use of those cockpit pieces at the sides for a mechanical centipede-like look for that starship. The overall design using those trans-black parts are very effective, and fits the nice custom Sith Lord really well. Extremely well done!

Happy Birthday to the Dark Lord of Denmark a.k.a. Santatrooper our Star Wars Moderator KimT! Have a wonderful day my master!

Welcome to the forums pranas, and thanks for sharing your wonderful Chibi MOC with us. Picture size is perfectly fine, and actually it's really of great quality with a very nice presentation using the sand. Gotta say this is one of my most favorite entries I've seen so far, even at Chibi scale you were still able to fit in the 4 figs. Certainly most impressive!

Haha, nicely done animal mascots kevin! That brown jacket torso is perfect for the Mr. Brown Bugs Bunny. I also see that clever use of the handgun for the wolf's tail.
-
Very well done custom female vampire kevin! That is a very effective combination of custom decals and Bellatrix's hairpiece. She really looks like a perfect companion for the vampire. Impressive work!

Very nice review clouette, thanks for sharing! It's really nice to see this set up-close in a review like this, since it will be highly unlikely I'll be owning this set. I must say the three buildings are very well-designed, and the minifig selection is pretty good. Overall I'd say this is a good value set even for its justified high price. Medieval Market Village

Excellent entry Oky! I simply love the use of those pearl gold pieces in the front, as well as the curved window panels, though I think it would look better if it were a bit taller - an additional white window panel will be a good height. The interiors are just wonderful, the book shelves in the second level and the staircase are all very well done. Great work so far, looking forward for more close-up shots.
