  1. Great review CloneyO! This is actually the first time I've seen a Belville review, and it's quite nice to see the various 'elements' included in this oft-forgotten sets. I guess I'm just not really a fan of this not-so-typical Lego theme, so I'd rate this as Below Average. But it was really enjoyable reading through your well-written review as always.
  2. Very nice lighting of your town Calvin! It really makes the interiors of your houses and buildings stand out more. Good job!
  3. Excellent review Dunjohn! It was really enjoyable reading through your review, especially with your hilarious quips about the "alarmingly-close Planet Earth" and the "several thousand taxdollars worth of laser fire at nothing for the pure thrill of it". I would have to agree that Martian alien gummybear minifig is one of the weirdest I've ever seen. Overall, I'd rate this as an average set.
  4. Very nice work on the cheese slope wall pattern MB! I would assume the black cheese slopes have no connection point with the white ones right? Neat fight action posing too. Well done!
  5. Nicely done Internets! Simple but very pretty li'l vignette I must say, really reminiscent of the movie scene.
  6. Welcome to the forums Jalkow! That's one nice entry you have there, I simply love the folding mechanism of the tent. Very well done and good luck on the contest!
  7. Wow, what an epic creation - massive, beautiful, and highly-accurate rendition of Hogwarts Castle that is very true to the movies. to Mr. Dave Scalone.
  8. It was a blessing in disguise that you weren't able to get the original set, since you wouldn't have done this excellent Vader Transformation MOC. You pretty much corrected everything flawed in the official set, making it a large build with highly-detailed mechanistic surroundings. Great job Elander!
  9. Amazing display! Thanks for sharing this ISC! No wonder this display won, it's as if you're really inside an Old Western Village looking at this display. The wooden buildings look very realistic with the nice color variation and clever placement of the roof tiles, and the cave is wonderfully done too. Kudos to the SYDLug members for this impressive creation.
  10. Yeah those may not be the best models around, but let's view them in context as Miniland structures, in which they are pretty good representations IMO. If those were non-Miniland builds, then we could start talking about accuracy issues.
  11. Wow, this is turning out to be a really exciting licensed theme, especially with the new pics coming out (thank you very much gwenju for sharing). What's notable about these PoTC sets is the abundance of small- to mid-sized sets wherein you could actually get majority of the cool-looking figs, particularly Jack Sparrow. Isla dela Muerta, Aqua de Vida, and The Captain's Cabin are instantly on my must-buy list.
  12. Interesting collection of different types of police forces Vicmackey80, it's really nice to see the variation of the roles, uniforms, and the accompanying vehicles of these police forces. What interests me the most among these are the Police Horse Force, as this is something that TLG hasn't done before with their CITY Police line which IMO is worth making considering these police units do exist in real life.
  13. Very nicely done Space Cannon Brickviller! Interesting 'flower'-shape design, and the color scheme really looks very Blacktronish. Great job!
  14. But still not wide enough. Based on the reference image you still have to widen it more, you'll notice a wide 'space' beside the seats that you need to make by extending the quarter-circle sideways, or using larger 1/4 circle piece.
  15. Nice review Alan, thanks for sharing! Pretty good large set, but not really my 'cup of tea' so to speak. But one interesting piece that really caught my attention is Naya's headpiece - I immediately thought this would be perfect for a Nightsister.
  16. Wow, what a unique and interesting entry, and very well done too! I simply love the overall clean and professional look of this build, and the arched roof is really a great-looking detail. Quite clever use too of the HP microfigs. Excellent work eti, best of luck!
  17. Pretty nice alternative take on the Swamp Speeder brickartist. I must say your build have some significant improvements over the official one, like the thinner front semi-circle, more accurate blasters, and the smooth mud shields. But if you take a closer look at this reference image, the rear half circle should really be much much wider than that, like what Doc pointed out. Still, a good first attempt and knowing you you'll improve this further.
  18. Great find Oky! These two are much better than the SW TCW ones (Anakin and Yoda). The Buzz clock looks great!
  19. The new elements in the blog are very fine additions indeed, great to have useful links included there. Just a simple suggestion though, how about a small "Blogged" image every time you blog a certain topic? Like classictown.net's. (but I guess the graphics would have to be in-tune with the upcoming skin of the blog)
  20. Great job so far Sieg! Just curious though, where is the Set Index in terms of % completion? I just noticed that WhiteFang is listed with 12 reviews, which is still way behind his 67 total (and counting). Looks like you still have a lot of ground to cover. But do take your time, no need to rush things.
  21. Gloriously beautiful train station.. Impressive work on this one PrinceWilliam, the whole build is really accurate to the real Kyoto Station. Of course the glass-paned dome is the 'star of the creation', but even the small details are wonderfully done. It was truly enjoyable looking at every inch of this MOC. Thanks for sharing this.
  22. Amazing. What a wonderful collaboration of these expert builders to come up with this stunningly beautiful and massive Medieval Fantasy diorama. The whole build is truly enjoyable to look at in the pictures, what more in real person. Lots of interesting and fantastic scenes, but my favorites would have to be the dragon-guarded waterfall amidst the floral surroundings, the Cave of Moria, and the nice crocodile scene. Congratulations on this outstanding masterpiece!
  23. Oh wow, I love the overall lime color scheme of this toy shop, it's quite a tough color to work with especially for a CC-style structure but I must say you did a great job pulling this one seamlessly. The brickbuilt Mario Bros. mural on each side are very nice details, and interiors and back part are well done also. Impressive work as always benny!
  24. Very well done Starbucks MOC tellblom! I love the green-white color scheme that's simply spot-on for Starbucks, as well as the accurate details of the interiors which you'll normally see inside this famed coffee shop. Great job!
  25. What a lovely cafe MOC NovaStar! The whole build looks very modern (glass-paned entrance design) and relaxing (serene and peaceful atmosphere) at the same time. Good job!
