The only real reason I'm posting this is because when I went looking for pictures of this particular modification to see how it'd look during my own planning stages, I couldn't find any. So hopefully these pics will be of some use to someone else in the future. Now personally, I really don't mind the blue on LEGO TIEs. But, when the UCS Interceptor was put next to the UCS Advanced x1 prototype, it just didn't look right anymore...so I fired up Bricklink and modified it. Enjoy!

I recently started hitting Bricklink and ebay to pick up a few neat space sets I may have missed out on while I was younger, or that I find more interesting now that my tastes in LEGO designs have shifted. So I'm wondering if there are any good space sets that perhaps don't get talked-up too much, but are still great sets worth having. I'm especially interested in sets are way better in reality then they look on the box. Sleeper hits that most of us may have missed out on. Any candidates?

What do you want to see from the Batman Theme

Oh, I totally forgot about Firefly...he'd be great! Although...I officially quit if LEGO gets as far as Maxie Zeus :-P -

Yeah, Ras, Clayface, and Hush are on my Minifig wishlist. I'd also like to se a couple different versions of the Batmobile as well as a Batplane. Yeah, I know we got a Batwing right away, but that's a little different ;-) -
Boy do I know where you're coming from there. Take notes kids, it's amazing what a steady job and an Excel spreadsheet can accomplish That's a good way to rotate sets. My AT-TE and Republic Gunships will finally get retired this summer through redesigns. That's where we differ, I just never bothered buying that one set :-D Okay...this is getting kind of creepy...we're not related are we? 8-

Oddly enough, Gavla has the most personality and the most sinister look. She's tops for me so far...with Mutran coming in a close second.

That's a nice looking forum you have there...kind of makes me want to overhaul my own. *y*

Well, personally I never mix LEGO, Tyco, Megabloks, or Best-Locks together...but I can't blame you for doing it here...LEGO is pretty stingy with the purple pieces :-|

:-D I guess I'll soon be walking around here with an angry red M branded onto my forehead

Neo-Shifters ended up being nothing more then constructible Transformers...that is...if Transformers all changed into mechanical spheres :-P The main problem was, the pieces aren't very interchangeable. They have one socket or hole or connection point that connects to another very specific connection point. And the pieces are very location specific on the model you're building...so unless you want to do nothing more then swap legs, heads, and arms between the different robots, there is no rebuilding the parts into anything different. With Bionicle parts you can build just about anything, and they're still completely compatible with other Technic and Basic LEGO bricks. Neo-Shifter parts are useless for MOCing and connect to nothing else. I was so hoping for a cool "Megaonicle" thing to mess around with on the side...alas my first and only Neo-Shifter went straight into a box in the garage within 48 hours :-D
-
I buy, use, and enjoy Megabloks sets because I like building with interlocking plastic bricks and I'm not some sort of misguided brand-snob However I've been displeased with them as of late because they've mostly turned away from the beautiful, large scale Probuilder models and have been concentrating on the "Minifig" type sets. Then there's the whole debacle with those Neo-Shifter things...boy were those a let-down.

Hmmm...a LEGO Electric Chair.
Deinonychus replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in General LEGO Discussion
HAW! That's friggin' hilarious. :-D This is still nothing compared to the Death Star II...I still consider a superweapon capable of destroying an entire planet the most violent set ever ;-) -
:-D Amen Brother Grevious! I also wonder if the dichotomy between Exo-Force's performance and Bionicle's will result in in a little more in-depth story for the next LEGO theme of the type. I don't really expect it with Agents...but I guess we'll see.

I guess in a loose sort of way you could say that, mostly in that it fills a slot for an action-based, boy targeted line. And when you think about it, Between Exo-Force, Mars Mission, and Star Wars, did LEGO really need 3 space-based action themes? Heck, you could even toss Bionicle in there for an overall sci-fi thing. Yeah, the more I think about it, the better I am with it. And reading this thread, I can't understand the whole "Bah, I hated Exo-Force, I'm glad it's gone." mindset. If you don't like a LEGO theme there's nobody forcing you to buy it. And if you're not buying and building it how can you foment such bile against it? I don't particularly care for, or buy Belville sets, but I do think it'd be a shame if sales were so bad LEGO had to abandon the line. :-/

The Republic Commando novels (Hard Contact, Triple Zero, True Colors) are most excellent. If you enjoyed the military, character heavy, Jedi-less stories of the X-Wing novels, you'll love these. I'd also recommend anything in the new Legacy of the Force series and the Medstar Duology (Battle Surgeons, Jedi Healer). Legacy of Evil and Dark Lord are also good reads. If you're in for the long haul, try the New Jedi Order series...it's long, but worth it ;-)

Yeah, I kinda saw this coming when no Exo-Force listings or images were appearing for anything past the current sets. It

Outstanding! *wub* I absolutely love Harley and her monster truck...that's so madcap it is an automatic win! I'm also very pleased with the piece counts...that'll keep the price points low and buyers will be more inclined to get these. It's especially nice for the Minifigs that were only previously available in big expensive playsets. Now if LEGO would just give us Clayface, Ras Al Ghul, and Hush we'd be all set
