Howsabout the 501st as part of a broader "repaint" line of Battle Packs. We could get a Commander Gree along with some Galactic Marines...then they can switch over to the Empire for a second pack and hook us up with some Magma Troopers and some Imperial Storm Commandos...man how I want some Storm Commandos *wub* And don't forget a Battle Pack of Mandalorians as well!

Darkhawk! *wub* Sadly...he's been pretty much sixth-stringer status since the 90's. But who knows...someday... I'm also a huge fan of Ghost Rider and the Punisher, whom I have every comic issue of from the beginning. Even that horrid miniseries in the late 90's where he committed suicide and was resurrected with angelic powers and guns. (seriously...look it up) I'm also a big fan of Captain America, but his comics have been crap for a while now and Spidey dropped out of my faves over the past couple of years with all the crap they've pulled with him recently. ...come to think of it, I hope Marvel just forgets all about Darkhawk 8-|

I just don't feel right unless I have a couple orders sitting in-process on my orders page. I look forward to going to the mailbox everyday in hopes that I've gotten a little package of parts and/or Minifigs from a Bricklink seller. My problem is I can't just buy $5 worth of pieces...I feel the need to "fill my order out" by tossing on goofy parts, sets, or Minifigs that strike my fancy until I've jacked the bill up to $40 or so :-P

One time when no one was looking Lex Luthor took 40 cakes. That's as many as four tens. And that's terrible. Gotta go with Joker myself.

Are you sure you want us to find it? You don't have any oil do you?

Not really too in to DC...but both the wife and I read this guy's monthly titles...

Still my favorite...despite that Spider-Man 3 mess... One of my all-time favorite comic book moments...

Crap...I go away for a few years and they moved everything to Kansas? :-P

I've got some of those in my pantry. They are pretty good, but I think LEGO quality control is slipping because I can't get them to connect with my regular bricks or the Eggo waffle ones

Ownership of the new StarJustice SpaceSkulls?
Deinonychus replied to xenologer's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well, I think if you give a nod to the inspiration in the text area of your post or BS folder it's all good...because, how much can you really "steal" with a fully customizable and interchangeable building block system? -
Oh...if that's the guy's whole collection I can defiantly see how $400 worth of battle packs wouldn't break him. I mean...I bought the friggin' Millenium Falcon for $500. Some people just really love them some minifigs... And here I felt weird for buying a second Conetrooper Battlepack just to fill my display shelf out a little more ascetically

All reservations I previously had about this set are gone. I guess I just needed to see some "real world" pictures. It looks fun as hell Although, the coloring and the design of the commander's sticker kind of makes him look like an old firefighter Minifig to me :-P

A pox on you and your blasted irony!

Actually, it might be City, according to the LEGO annual report that was released not to long ago...but that makes Star Wars no less of a huge cash-cow for LEGO. I think the fact that the summer sets for the Clone Wars launch are so big and expensive points to LEGO's confidence in the line. People on the internet just like to spew bile and fuss and moan. It is then up to the rest of us to mercilessly beat them over the head with reason, logic, positivity, and sarcasm until they run away from their keyboards crying into their Yu-Gi-Oh cards

Woah! Three bills for the chess Set eh. X-O I barely blinked at paying that for the ISD and the Death Star II, but man...it's nice but not that nice. I might feel a little different had I not already spent $50 for the smaller version. I think LEGO might be taking a gamble here. If I'm not mistaken, this'll be the single most expensive non-Star Wars set they've ever produced. I wonder if their production numbers are going to be considerably lower because of that fact. Who knows, all the other chess sets have been discounted eventually. I might consider it for $200

Trust me...it never ends well...never *wacko*

Well of course. I'm a brutish ham-fisted American, and as an American I'm predisposed to solve all of my problems with military might and economic conquest. LEGO sells us sets cheaper because they know that if they don't we'll turn Billund into a parking lot. Then there will be nobody to complain when we steal the patent on all their parts and start producing USAGO sets which we will then export around the world at increased prices. >:-)
-
Can't argue with any of that. I pretty much used the term "garbage" just to press home my point. ;-) That does make me wonder though...if the worldwide economy takes a general downturn, will LEGO have to drastically cut back on production through less new sets or lower numbers of units per set...or will they raise prices to cover costs sothat everyone feels the pinch? 8-|
-
Yeah, that's a great idea...LEGO should take the financial hit because the European economy is garbage. I think if you don't really understand the ins and outs of international pricing and trade then you shouldn't really keep complaining so consistently until you have a little more knowledge. As to what we'd do if one of our home-grown products was cheaper overseas...well we'd invade and take it back for free...so there

Oh, It's...a loading bay doorframe...with no bay door... ...am I missing something? 8-|

Web-bots...that's how it starts, next thing you know SkyNet is hunting us down in our beds at night...be ready...

No way...a Space Police I TIE Fighter...just imagine how cool that'd look in primarily black and blue with...er...nevermind But yeah, that's pretty damn awesome...it just needs some classic space logos on it and it'd be perfect *wub*

Wow...that's all good news because I've been eyeballing some Bestlock sets recently, but still had a bad taste in my mouth from my last set several years ago. Knowing they fixed the height disparity is a little comforting. It looks like their designs are picking up a little bit as well. The set I got was a fully-licensed Lockheed-Martin F-117 Nighthawk fighter/bomber that looked great on the box and from an above-and-in-front angle...but was just totally horrid looking from any other angle. Turned me right off Bestlock real quick...but I'm willing to give them another go...especially since Megabloks isn't doing anything but their overwrought Minifig-style sets these days. :-/
