Love the Sloop. Looks great. The colors and lines are excellent. I have to agree with others that one mast will look odd but I also understand what you are talking about regarding scale but you are always going to have that problem when you have a minifig scale ship in your collection any thing less than scale will look too big or too small. Can't wait to see her finished.

Essential Parts for a Pirate MOC
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Broken Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
White 2x2 bricks white 1x2 bricks Hull sections...you're going to need lots of hull sections...and of course Redcoats! -
Warms my heart to see Redcoats on the march advancing on the enemy. Nice job on the carts and wagons. Somehow those are always hard to get to scale and you managed it well.

Very nice. I have always enjoyed your drawings. Drawing is talent I have always envied.

Great Ship. I didn't read through all the posts (rather busy the last few months) so I don't know if she got a nice name. I love the bow and the tiled decks. The colors and overall shape is really nice as well.

How much time do you spend on Lego?
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Darth Hawken's topic in Community
Usually 3 or 4 hours a night or zero hours a night. Probably average 15 hours a week. -
A very nice ship though I think she is too big to be a brig at 18 guns and three masts I think she would certainly be a Sloop of War. Great job.

Very cool. I wish I had that type of talent! -
You have been on a building spree lately. Congratulations on a gorgous ship. She is very nice with great lines and rigging and ofcourse since it is a slyowl creation you can comb through it for those special slyowl one of a kind touches. An instant classic and possibly the flag ship of the pirate fleet. Can't wait to see your second ship!

Very nice Redcoat outpost. I love the classic colors and design with the snot water. Very simple and beautiful.

Nice start. Are you using all 8 midsections from the two ships?

That is a very high cliff. You wouldn't even have to shoot cannon balls, you could just drop them. The cliff turned out very nice, especially the angled crack that runs right up the middle. It sort of has less detail and smooths out as you move outward toward the sides of the cliffs. It actually kinda reminds me of El Capitan at Yosemite. Great job.

WOW. A very interesting ship. I don't care for the color (but color is such a personal thing) but I really love the lines of the ship. Her overall shape is really really nice. I think she could use some more detail/ornimentation on the sides to break up the large flat areas. Overall a very nice ship.

Pretty cool. I don't know how you guys have the patience for the digital designing. I tried it a couple times and I just about wanted to rip my face off in frustration. Nice job.

Nice Building! I must have missed this the first time around. Very cool roof. I really like it and it has helped me decide what I want for dinner tonight

Indiana Jones and the Sword of Sir Gecko
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Sir Gecko's topic in LEGO Licensed
Another near escape by Indy. I like how you have incorporated your own name into the story of your MOC. I do agree that the 1x1 clear rounds would be a lot less noticable in your action sequence. Nice MOC. -
The building itself is very nice. Great colors and design but the amount of detailed and different scenes built inside is wonderful. The Lego shop with all the sets is really the coolest part. Awesome MOC!

It is totally possible. The Sang Royale is one of the best examples of one that is totally complete. You can see the two 3rd rate 74's I am building (Venurable and Resolution) in my WIP Building a Fleet topic on the Pirate MOC page. I am using Captain Green Hair's model and scaling it up then addressing specific modifications that need to be made as I build them.

WOW Connor she has turned out lovely! She has wonderful lines and color. The sails and rigging look great. What a nice project for you. She certainly shows all the care and attention you brought to her. She will stand tall among the other Frenchies in the Bluecoat fleet. Well done!!!

You have a nice collection and some neat stuff. If you deep link the pictures as oppossed to putting links in your messages you are going to get a lot more feedback and interest from people.

Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
True! With each passing week the peace seems to be threatened a little more. I have noticed the Bluecoats getting particularly aggressive -
Ha My head looks happy and rather well preserved! You are indeed a rich man.
