  1. How'd I miss this? lol Booty was: 2 Nocturn sets. And then, when we went out, this: http://flickr.com/photos/11579617@N02/1309206467/ Laid-back birthday, no scary drama. Life must be getting better finally. *sweet*
  2. FLICKR! X-D Truthfully... I'm loving that site. I was forced to peruse it during BS's downtime... and it's grown on me. And so much more there than just Lego. I'll still save my stuff to BS as usual, but now I'm deeplinking new images I put in topics from Flickr, as it's more reliable. And best of all, you can actually figure out easily how to donate to Flickr, though you don't have to. Brickshelf just needs that. A bigass donate button with the text under it "Site is ailing for funds. Help out, please?".
  3. *sigh* I wish that lawsuit / inheritance money would come out of escrow already. I'd fix the Lego community's image hosting problems forever... at no cost to anyone but me. Why'd Brickshelf have to go and crash THIS year, I mean... Oh crap, am I talking aloud? *sweet*
  4. Well, I put the 2 Bionicle Metru heads together and was like, "Ooooooh"... it could hold a minifig in a standing position, instead of me having to search through 9 million bins to find a minifig seat. (Also just felt better, as it's a contest entry for "hardsuits" on Flickr's Mechahub group. But yeah, it was perfect for a mechanical look to it's guts. : p Nah, but it's the first I did that small. If you look in the 2004 folder, you can see that I'm unable to do just Technic mocs now... more of a 50/50 hybrid with System.
  5. Good GOD, man! Click the pic in my sig! Quick!!! :-D Lego Clickits. Yeah, had to take it off one of my GIRLY necklaces, but... no, just kidding. Bricklink. :-P
  6. There a few more pics in here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/11579617@N02/1274515002/ Now that Brickshelf's fixed: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=273941
  7. Looks like what one would use for a Bespin Luke. I sincerely hope that's the trans blue that glows like a sonuvabitch under fluorescent blacklight. I hate the trans blue parts that don't glow. *wacko*
  8. Hmm... http://departmentsix.com/ Hope this isn't an American, Men in Black kind of Torchwood thing.
  9. I thought this too, but not because it's "designed better". I see it more (if your theory's correct) as a way to emulate their competitor, just as they have done to them. Perhaps to simply piss them off even lol. It's not really a "superior" design... it's just... different.
  10. Am I the only one who doesn't like the formula they do the episodes in? Like there's the "Hello!" first episode, a "celebrity historical figure" episode, a "lost on a spaceship episode", the horror episode", like 4 "returning enemy" episodes... Well, on a good note, that cuts down the celebrity historical figure episodes down... can't stand those lol. So over-done in scifi dealing with time travel. Also, I'm getting REALLY sick of Bad Wolf, Torchwood, Mr.Saxon type foreshadowing silliness. I like a little "unknown", y'know?
  11. Well, I thought about it... what mocs might it make "impossible"? The current pegs still only let another piece slide down so far. I mean, maybe SOMETIMES the need will arise for a cone that tapers off, but... it's probably outweighed by new ideas that'll pop up.
  12. Well, he seems to have mastered the art of key movie franchise emulation, so why so quick to change it? There's still so many films left to be whalloped with a sack of bricks by him. And on a horribly LAME level of having anything to do with this topic, 1977 Star Wars Holiday Special prototypes of Chewbacca's family. >__< Well... we are talking about vintage SW, yes? http://www.starwarsholidayspecial.com/merc.../prototypes.htm
  13. Still looks like junk to me. -doesn't look like part of Exo-force theme, instead, maybe some horrendous Technic line from a decade ago. -not as pretty as the spidery type mech that came before it. -no really new or different parts as well as too many filler parts to go gaga as a parts source. On the plus: -well, it has 10 silver robot arms (mecha fingers) and 2 bronze ones... ...though that's more of a Bricklink thing, not a "god knows how expensive large Lego set" kind of price. FAIL. ...FAIL. ......FAIL. Oh well, the line at least introduced some new parts here and there. Nighty-night, Exo-Force. This set's going to murder your profits.
  14. Ugh. Not looking forward to more Dalek stories. The last 2-parter was a major stinker. And Davros... let him be dead already lol. As for Cybermen... there's still the ones in THIS universe, though the alternate reality ones were sucked away. Yikes... why do I see Dalek / Cyberman hybrids as new enemies of the Doctor? Two violent lifeforms, forced to merge in order to survive / escape the void. >__< I hope Peter Davidson shows up, he was cool in a weird way. And not nearly as much a fossil as Tom Baker is now... less makeup to deal with. ::sees "The 11 Doctors" special a few years from now, the characters made up of life-like, entirely CGI past Doctors:: Damn, so Tennant might be out this season? They're burning through Doctors at an alarming rate. Where's the good old Baker days, where you knew who he was inside and out? :-D Guess this means the writers already know what to do when his available regenerations hit that scary brick wall in a few years.
  15. Someone did what? Those crossbow... Holy... ::starts slow clap::
  16. Dear sweet hades, this better not turn into a big debate like these boogers did when they were changed: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?viewFr...chSort=P&sz=100
  17. Oh no, no. I like how you think. ;-)
  18. Are there really building situations where other parts slide down too far and break / get marked? I've never encountered any building problems with it. I like the regular cone design... though I suppose the newer one's made to look more like a gun muzzle? Or something? Bleh... I'd like an official statement on this.
  19. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Hawking :-|
  20. Agreed, but that was a very early concept... unrefined and not fleshed out yet. Oh, it COULD be menacing, with a few good tweaks. ... ... ...Is it just me, or does that not look like Knights Kingdom joints on the pelvis? Maybe they initially used Lego mock-ups to test design on? X-D As for ratchet... is that gun not a hyper-detailed version of the gas pump that came with G1 Optimus's "Roller".
  21. Some people I linked it to on a "site that does not exist" found it funny too. It got one face-palm Picard ascii and a bunch of lols. That's a good thing though. *sweet*
  22. It's so wrong... but done so well... But so hilarious... yet so tasteful... (LOL)
  23. Hahaha, it's fun talking to "higher-up" people in the know, isn't it? But of course, I've been told about 3 times now that "Bionicle's ending in XXXX (year)" ...and that day never comes.
  24. My Action Master version has seen better days. Yay for plastic vapors while sitting in toy boxes for a few years? http://www.maj.com/gallery/JINZONINGEN73/J...scolored001.jpg http://www.maj.com/gallery/JINZONINGEN73/J...scolored004.jpg
