A funny thing I notice about mocs this large, they're always based on a pre-existing design of something else, be it a real battleship or even a fake one from Star Wars. True, some of the builder's originality is expressed inside simply the skill of constructing such a thing, but rarely is a super-huge moc ever of an original concept. You never see someone so brave with a fantasy design in their head that they'll take the financial and chronological plunge to see it become massive... Anime character "Doraemon", a magical space cat that has a pouch on his belly with black hole-like abilities to store junk in it (much like the earlier Felix the Cat's "bag of tricks").

Yeah, I'm trying to get storyline speculations confined to one thread. Unfortunately, it sometimes feels like threads are made just in the hopes there'll be high post counts and delusionally, popularity from it. :-| I do sympathize with the non-Bionicle crowd. It does get a bit much.

I was going strictly for basics. From here... any design is possible. Plenty to build off from. Though go too far, and you wind up looking like Elton John in the 70's. I USED to wear 6 tank treads turned inside out on my wrists, but the rubber would leave black streaks on me after a long time. Also used to wear a necklace of Technic ball sockets and robot arms... but it'd pinch my hair.

I'm not quite sure where you're going with this. There's already a Bionicle Review index pinned at the top of this forum. So really, this topic is just a topic reviewing squid ammo, yes? If there's other Bionicle stuff you're reviewing, give them their own topics instead of elusively planted deep inside this one. (And if I'm interpreting things wrong, by all means, tell me). :-P

I totally don't agree that it's better than the other non-System themes. But just as Star Wars doesn't have it's own forum, so should not Bionicle. One bad year and blammo... a dead forum. Ah! Unless that forum encompasses ALL non-System themes!

In 2001, I came upon a Goodwill store where there were MANY $200 Lego sets being sold as low as $35. I bought many, and it got me into the Lego hobby. However, there were also giant Megablock sets, like a spaceship with little aliens and lots of neon green parts, clear purple canopies. Well, the aliens in that set reminded me of Antron, from the old Micronauts line. So then looking at the large purple canopies, I decided to make an accompanying Hornetroid. And take my word for it, it kicked much butt when done. PROBLEM. The Megablock bricks liked to turn white and crack. At nearly every point where Lego and Megablock met, the connection was a weak mess. It had at first been primarily Lego (not on purpose), but it became quickly clear that it was going to be no fun at all once all the Megablocks were in it... and that's sad, as Lego doesn't have giant, trans-purple canopies. X D To this day, I still occasionally find a Megablock hiding in my bins, but they are PROMPTLY thrown out. So unless their quality has been jacked up a HELL of a lot since 2001... you'd be crazy to mix the 2 brands together.

Yeah, these are great if you're building more giant things... but a return to micromotors cleverly placed inside the tinier Town / System world is something Lego should definitely consider. *sigh* :-/

I hope that: A. The masks aren't made of squishy rubber like the Inika ones. B. The masks aren't made out of that junky-feeling plastic of the Nuva. C. That they return to mask packs, generously tossing masks around in a TON of different colors. D. That at LEAST one of them is / has trans goin' on.

You're going to involuntarily see MANY perverted things in just a short time. In one month of regular usage, you're bound to bump into goatse.
