Here they are again.

@SpiderJazz so if this random guy on Instagram showed you faces that were reused from old figures, you could link us to them on Bricklink, yeah? That would be a very useful contribution to this discussion. It really just sounds like you're hyping him at this point. Last time you said something was coming any minute, it turned out in actuality you hadn't any idea when anything was coming. I get that everyone is excited, but everyone also needs to dial it down and stop spamming this thread with useless nonsense which just kills any possibility for more focussed and engaging discussion of anything, though at least there has been some good chat in the last few pages.

This was the entire basis of set design for the first two films! Unfortunately the tower isn't designed to be easily expandable, but at the same time LEGO could come out with something that looks ok on its own and includes instructions for how to add it into the tower. Anything could happen.
-
Welllll...... This thread is getting harder and harder to read, but as there's not much of anything substantive to discuss at the moment, I can't see any way around that.
-
Thank you for this! To be honest, I myself had lost the ability to follow this thread up until this point. I've added your nicely summed-up info to the first post. One thing I'd add is that we can be certain Yule Ball Harry and Fleur are coming.

This one set I had to have from the LEGO Movie 2 line, and now that these are finally put in Australia (only 3ish months after the rest of the world), they're thankfully easy to come by. While I love that LEGO has made this, has anyone else noticed a quality issue with the white one? On mine the torso and helmet are the white that I expect LEGO's white to be, while the arms and full leg assembly have bad colour matching and look a little off white. It doesn't totally ruin the figure, but in good light it's annoying. It sucks that LEGO had better colour consistency in the 70s than they do now.

It's pretty prominent in Order of the Phoenix too in the scene with Umbridge standing in front of the pendulum. Clearly LEGO wants to give us more Hogwarts, and it's great that they've chosen an iconic part of the castle to do rather than another semi made-up part like the Whomping Willow set. Not that much happens in Hogwarts that's specific to PoA besides Divination and Sirius being locked up for a minute, and all the minifigures involved have been or will be covered in other sets or the CMF. To me it's great that they're smashing two cool things together: the clocktower structure, and the Yule Ball scene which we haven't gotten before.

As long as this theme sticks around for a bit, which it seems likely to do, I bet we'll see another CMF. The first one did very well, I'm sure. Personally I'm so thankful that LEGO is finally covering a lot of Harry Potter stuff that they've never covered before. I'll have to wait to see these sets before I decide what I want to get, but just from the sounds of things it's great that LEGO is finally doing proper justice to Goblet of Fire especially, and I'm stoked to finally see a new Sirius and get Cornelius Fudge from the Prison of Azkaban sets.

WHOAAAA - let's put the breaks on here before I need to close this thread for a cool down. 1. Nobody has to share anything they know and we should appreciate those that do because it gives us something to discuss. 2. Being skeptical of people who claim they have info is a-ok because we've all been burnt by wannabe leakers many times before. 3. Name calling and foul language is never ok or tolerated here no matter what anyone else has done! This is an adult forum about a hobby. If you think someone else has not been civil, be the bigger person and be civil.

Isn't it quite possible that only Mickey comes in the boat, and Minnie come in the CMF? It wouldn't be the first time such a thing has happened - for instance Quidditch Draco Malfoy came in the CMF while the rest of the Quidditch players available came in a set, and a bunch of the end credits outfit LEGO Batman characters came in the CMF while the others came in the D2C. Still, Mickey has to come with the Ideas set and he should have a hat too, so hopefully he does.

Why have you posted this in both Ideas topics? The news presented in the announcement video is what predicated the discussions being had. It doesn't add anything now. -

Discussion about what piece might be used for Mysterio - all fine Discussion of when leaks are going to happen and baiting people into thinking they're happening any second - NOT FINE When something has leaked, discuss it. Before something has leaked, there is literally no point in this continuous speculation about when something will leak. It wastes posts, it artificially makes this topic look like something has happened, and above all it kills any real substantive discussion. I'll have a private chat with anyone else posting in the vein of "info coming soon!" etc. etc. -
That picture of the goat isn't a real leak, I'm pretty sure. It's just the project submitter's impression of what the goat could look like, as seen under updates on the Ideas submission page. Was there a picture that wasn't just that one posted on the Ideas page?

LEGO Ideas - Central Perk Coffee of Friends

I believe you're in the wrong topic - this is the Friends Ideas Set discussion. Your question is already answered in the Steamboat Willie thread. Edit: Ninja'd ! Given the huge Friends fan base still existing today, the decision to pass Friends makes sense to me. I only hope they make the model much smaller so that it's not too expensive, with the main focus being the minifigures. -

From what I can tell, that's the same colour for that mould that has been available already in Ninjago City and Bricks and Pieces, but it is nice of LEGO to continue to use it, and in a smaller set this time. -
Well put, and I totally agree with you. LEGO struck an excellent size balance with the original sets. The only exception to the sizing scheme was the army men battle pack, but that was still awesome on its own. These, on the other hand, are scaled for Minifigures, so it's like the toys are full sized people within the context of the sets. As far the minifigs go, these only seem good as parts fodder to make custom figs or to make cosplayers/employees dressed as the characters in a Disney park. The customiser in me would be happy about that, but I doubt I'll pick up any of these sets just to get some minifigs pieces. As representations of the actual characters, Woody and Jesse especially just seem off. The crappiness of the sets themselves can't be surprising given the 4+ branding, but it's a real shame that LEGO is making this move to take whole themes into the late 90s/early 00s Town Jr era. I thought the point of 4+ was to give younger kids a small taste of what LEGO recommends they don't get into until they're 6, not to make whole lines of crappy builds with large pieces for too much money. Is the pool of 4-year-olds really so lucrative that Toy Story-loving kids who are just a little older (not to to mention AFOLs) have to suffer these?

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

LEGO worked fast for me too - less than two weeks from ordering to delivery in Australia! Last time I ordered from B&P I was in the US, and it took over a month for it to arrive. Here's my haul. Oddly instead of the Jet Jack head that I'd ordered, they sent me Rebolt's head from Solo, which isn't even listed on B&P! I feel this totally. My above order was $60AUD plus $15AUD shipping to Australia. Does it feel like $75? Not at all, but at the same time I do usually get more satisfaction out of B&P orders than buying whole sets, probably because I've handpicked and really like/want every part I've ordered. Nice one! I reckon the factory employees like orders like yours with higher quantities of less variety than they do mine, with mainly one each of nearly 80 individual parts. -

I bet LEGO is going to tout these Action Battles as a "Brand New!!!" concept, which I find amusingly ironic given that they've already made a set with this very concept: 75037 Battle on Saleucami -
REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series

This isn't the most useful piece of data, but I just found an opened box in a store. The first two rows from left to right had been a bit depleted, so I started at the front of the right-most row and the Wizard of Oz characters were the first four. Of course this could've been a fluke because the box was already open and people had been at it a bit, but still strange that they were all there together. The Tin Man has got to be my favourite of the four - excellent prints and so generous with the accessories! Dorothy and the Lion are both very nice too, but the Scarecrow doesn't really do it for me. The hat doesn't feel LEGO-y and otherwise there's nothing very special about him, but the torso and legs would make a good base for a mediaeval peasant. -

Which one do you consider perfect for Episode I Padme, the one from the last Republic Gunship or the last time she appeared in this outfit, sharing a face with Hermione from the 2010 Harry Potter line? Personally I think the Gunship one is a great expressive face, but not necessarily great for Episode I Padme. At least it's unique, though. -

We haven't had one since 2002 With all the newer colours available now, a new one could look so good. Besides an Episode I 3PO, the podracer also could/should have included a Shmi, who just so happens to be quite an important character with a lot of screen time, who we've also never gotten in 20 years. Instead the only new character in the wave is Zuckuss, who is nice to get of course, but also a background character with a few seconds of screen time. If only they could really hear us @Skyhammer. -

I very rarely buy Star Wars these days, but I was half hoping to be lured in by 20th Anniversary sets. Instead.... these feel incredibly lack luster. Like some others have said, there's nothing wrong with the sets really, but they just don't feel right for the 20th Anniversary. Sets for the tenth anniversary showed a real love for Star Wars, with new and unexplored material. This "remakes of old sets" idea is... interesting... but they haven't even fully committed to that, and the choices of sets feel slapdash. Only the Snowspeeder and Imperial Dropship truly call back to the old sets because they include the exact same lineup of builds and figures. The podracer is close, though the original included a pit droid. The AT-RT and Slave I don't feel "20th Anniversary" to me at all; they just feel like they're what LEGO wanted to have on the market. So overall, besides the Dropship and the inclusion of Zuckuss at long last, really none of these seem to be made with much love and I'm left dreaming of the myriad ways these could've been made better, like: - an Episode I 3PO in the podracer - the Slave I being Jango's and including a Kaminoan - a proper new canopy mould for the Snowspeeder - new, accurate AT-RT driver etc. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Ah, I wish I'd had this list before placing my order! I got most of what I wanted from your list, plus a bunch of things you don't have on there, but there are a couple of hairpieces I would've liked and didn't think to look for. At a certain point I find I just have to give up with Bricks & Pieces, since it takes so dang long to put an order together.
