  1. You're on Eurobricks now... so you've contacted Eurobricks. What does Eurobricks have to do with a copyright infringement on your MOC?
  2. Mentioning something that relates to actual LEGO rumours (in this case, the croc) is ok. Just talking about the media itself, unrelated to LEGO, is not for this topic. Thanks.
  3. Even if Boba gets a slightly different outfit in his show, what will it amount to really? Maybe not all black underneath with a black scarf. His armour is still his armour and it's going to look just as cool. Fennec will also probably remain exactly the same, as they've given her the exact same outfit in the Bad Batch a good 30 years earlier or whatever it is.
  4. The seagull piece comes in a protective bag I'm pretty sure, and I ordered that online.
  5. Who is hating? People need to stop thinking that having a detailed back and forth on a subject constitutes some massive argument. Some of us enjoy debating this sort of subject as part of the hobby. Personally I waded into the catalogue discussion because, at the end of the day, adults were disappointed that nothing "new" for Star Wars was revealed at LEGO Con when in fact it was a mistake that led us to see what they revealed in advance. If somebody else wants to think it wasn't a mistake, fine, but I'm going to debate that opinion because talking about this sort of thing is part of the hobby. A forum is for discussion, which includes debate, not just one person saying an opinion after another and everyone else nodding.
  6. You know the first point about how many people approve a catalogue... How? And you know there won't be multiple versions of a 2HY catalogue, again how? Are you trolling sarcastically? It's hard to tell now. "Obviously" a catalogue can release whenever and especially online versions can be updated over time.
  7. Heh that's much better proof than all of my theories. But again, same as with the Eternals sets, the people making and putting out the catalogues clearly aren't equipped to always know about what's supposed to be revealed when.
  8. Hogsmeade and Polyjuice Potion Mistake are almost tied for best set of the wave in my opinion, though I think the Polyjuice set slightly edges Hogsmeade out because it packs so much value into a small set. It's got characters people really want (not saying the Flumes and Madame Rosmerta aren't cool, but), new cat headpiece, good accessories, and a perfect price. The Fluffy set is definitely last. Dull minifigs, dull Hogwarts sections, too high of a price for something so dull.
  9. Are you based in Japan and/or do you know for a fact that the Japanese catalogue always comes out on June 1st? You might be right, but I wouldn't know. Of course catalogues are made in advance, though. Somebody "approved" catalogue advertisements for the Eternals sets too, but that was obviously a mistake and LEGO didn't even address it. It could similarly be that the LEGO Japan catalogue had these sets when it wasn't really meant to, and if anybody realised, it was too late. LEGO has proven themselves less than perfectly coordinated especially when it comes to advertising materials, so it wouldn't surprise me if the team behind LEGO Con in Denmark simply wasn't connected at all to the team in the Asia Pacific office responsible for a Japanese catalogue. Plus, if LEGO at large had really been cool with unveiling the Mandalorian sets so early, the sets would've appeared in more than one catalogue for one market.
  10. Brickdoctor is a Moderator too, and the one who posted first. If you're on mobile, anyone whose name is displayed in bold red is a Moderator. If on a desktop, it's more obvious because their rank displays. I didn't watch LEGO Con, but it seems like AFOLs set themselves up for disappointment putting too many eggs in the Gunship basket. As far as LEGO is concerned, the Mandalorian sets weren't previously revealed (since the catalogue reveal was a mistake), and the Mandalorian show is a huge deal in the zeitgeist right now, so it makes sense they'd reveal a big Mandalorian set from the climax of Season 2. How they advertised LEGO Con and why they did or didn't target certain demographics is another matter. But kids are online more than ever, so I wouldn't say that only teens and adults would've known about this.
  11. The New Asgard set is cute, and it's nice seeing them do this sort of thing in a line like Marvel Superheroes, but it sure doesn't look like a $30 USD set to me.
  12. Yeah, PPP isn't everything. It looks like a very small model, and even with the speeder/stand, I don't know where 592 parts are going. Ah, I suspected that might be the case. Hopefully that means other Mando set reviews are coming soon too! So much for a reveal for anyone expecting that. Personally I don't think the Bad Batch Shuttle or Mandalorian Fighter feel overpriced. They're both substantial and have a substantial quantity of exclusive minifigures. The Slave I seems smaller than its piece count would suggest, and the Mandalore Duel is simply lacking - plus both of those sets have only one new figure, though the other ones are still desirable.
  13. Where is the article on their actual site? I see the photos reposted on Insta but nothing on Brick Fanatics itself. The set looks like fun and it's cool it comes with a stand. It doesn't really look like $50 though.
  14. He didn't simplistically say "too dark to make sets". This was from Marcos' recent Instagram story AMA, which he has saved on his profile. Here is the actual question and response from him. Question: What does Lego have against Deathly Hallows :( Answer: Absolutely nothing 🤔 But as the story progresses, the movies get darker and more up in age, and we tend to find more appealing and engaging moments in the earlier movies that lend themselves to great toys... But who knows 🙃
  15. Despite its flaws rightly pointed out in Brickset's review, the Mandalorian Fighter still looks awesome to me and I'm very excited to get it. The wing shape and colouring look excellent from the top, and the wings can surely be swapped around to show the better side in landing position in a display. I disagree with CapnRex on Brickset that it should've been bigger to be more accurate - it looks good as is and I'm glad I don't have to pay any more to get both it and the three stunning minifigs! Yes it's totally out of scale - or maybe it's the scale in-universe that's wrong, since it's ludicrous something would be both a ginormous freighter and a fighter. IMO it's the right size for what it is as a LEGO set.
  16. It's more surprising to me that LEGO has put up images and info for the Clone Wars sets. It's not like they did a "reveal" for those, no big press release or splash about it - just put them up on the website basically. How often do they list sets over a month in advance unless they're something special for pre-order? They might just pop the Mando sets onto the website quietly too, closer to August.
  17. I get the frustration that LEGO restarted this whole line in 2018 by deliberately doing two movies/books per year, so how or why could they have planned to stop before the final two movies/one book? Except - by 2020 they'd already started mixing it around with a set from CoS, and the Hedwig set containing a figure from Philosopher's Stone. So it's still valid to ask and feel like, why didn't they plan to at least cover everything from the beginning through to the end? But looking at the actual sets produced, they'd already ditched the pure "two instalments per year" format by the third year.
  18. Legs are: MINI LOWER PART, NO. 2057 Element 6342502 Design Number 76864 From the Monkie Kid Mountain set. Dual moulded so a bit pricey!
  19. Wait, what lack of headband? The Hunter minifigure we're getting has a printed headband on his head, just like Ryo. It's just that it obviously goes underneath his hair I stead of all the way around it.
  20. Plus now that they've added sorting by colour, if you know roughly what the cool new stuff is based on set photos, it doesn't take very long to go through and find it on B&P. Personally I'm waiting to make my next order until 43197 The Ice Castle is available, mainly just because I want that hourglass with a normal sand colour inside! The previous hourglass was listed at around 70 cents US. Not bad.
  21. A bunch of LAN outlets have the Clone Wars and Bad Batch related sets, but not the Mandalorian ones it seems, unless LEGO has set a different embargo date for those for some reason.
  22. Ok maybe I was too broad in my statement - accuracy isn't necessarily objective across the board - but in this context we've been discussing, we're talking about something that does have an obvious solution. LEGO does make specific helmets for the Star Wars line all the time, including ones that are similar to others. It's not like we're discussing something LEGO doesn't do, like create a new ultra specific hairpiece for each character. I cannot honestly understand how anyone could truly believe a re-use of the P2 helmet, designed to match a specific, in universe design that is different to the Bad Batch's helmets, could be better than new ones. I understand people are fine with the choice. I understand that it's ludicrous to think or expect LEGO would have made more new helmets for this set given how they operate. I understand people who just don't care very much about what they see as minute differences in helmet shapes, and prefer to focus on the great new stuff LEGO did do this wave (which I think is great too). But I do not understand how anyone could think that using these helmets would be good even in a world where LEGO didn't constrain themselves quite as much.
  23. Thanks for the review Jim, and stunning photography as always (always making me a bit embarrassed about my jerry-rigged setup hehe). As a System person (besides Bionicle back in the day), the mostly Technic interior of this set scares the pants off me. However, also as a System person having pretty much zero knowledge of Technic mechanisms I'm absolutely in awe of it. Perhaps you see flaws because you know more about what's achievable, but to me, the fact that every single key raises the one bar and moves the back is incredible. I've seen comparisons between this and the Grand Piano, which I think are fair to make. Both are representations of real life objects, with some amount of functionality. However, while the piano has keys you can press too, they don't do anything satisfying at all. Connected to the app, they play a sound, but it doesn't matter which key you press, which is obviously not like a real piano at all. This typewriter, by contrast, functions like a typewriter. Not all the functions of a typewriter of course, but the main one: press a key, the back moves along, eventually you push it back and start again. It's meant to be a display piece, but I can imagine it would be an amazing one to show other adults who are less LEGO-inclined. "Look, it's a LEGO typewriter, that's kind of neat... and WOW the keys work too!!!" In my eyes this is a top contender for best LEGO paperweight, I mean, display objects for adults that they've done yet.
  24. It's easy to become even more deeply entrenched in a side once a back and forth starts, and lose sight of things we actually agree about. Someone saying that the figures are objectively not the ideal doesn't mean everyone should hate them. And someone saying that it's expected that LEGO would reuse pieces and cut corners, and that most people don't care (true or not), only backs up the notion that the figures are somewhat not ideal! Many people could probably agree that an extra helmet or two would've been better, while disagreeing about how big of an issue the P2 helmets (and printed backpacks etc) are for their personal assessments. Objectively, parts that accurately reflect things are better; subjectively, less accurate parts are fine to a varying degree as per individual preferences. It's also a fact that what may be a nitpick to one person is a big deal to another, and trying to talk someone out of either position is futile. In my opinion it's fun to discuss our different preferences, as long as remains civil.
  25. Don't know if this has been officially confirmed, but it's a bataleur: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bateleur
