Dr Strange's cape 79786 is listed with 0.00. Hope that comes into stock. The black and white angler fish is up 67471 Also the black torso with teal skull and hands from the same Stuntz set as the angler - 6356440 Blue tousled hair 44751 I wonder if the flywheel bike piece itself 69869 will get a price, and how much it will be compared to the full price of the little bike sets. -

How'd you order it? On an unrelated note tracking B&P's oddities, I noticed that the minifigure four spiked crown which comes in brown in the Disney Castle is no longer listed at all, despite the Disney Castle itself still being sold. Perhaps the set isn't being produced anymore and LEGO is just selling down stock, or it's just one of those things? I ordered just one (as I do of most parts) quite a while ago, but only recently discovered that it fits nicely on the Overwatch gun (pictured below with the silver version), and I'd like some more to build up some more cool pistols. Alas. -

To be clear, there are still some sets on the rumoured list that don't have rumoured names attached, including a $30 one, so there still could be more than one BoBF set. However, given there's a known $100 one, that does lower the likelihood that all the cool desirable characters would come in another set too. LEGO wouldn't put Boba and Fennec in two sets, so a $30 alongside the $100 one would most likely have Boba and some other characters. We'll just have to wait and see. -
Super Mario 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Given LEGO's licenses with Nintendo and Universal (which owns Illumination), plus the relatively high status of this movie given its voice cast, LEGO sets seem like all but a sure thing. Personally I can't picture Mario and Luigi minifigures without specially moulded heads. Other characters with prominent noses done as traditional minifigures have looked too odd and so would they, unless the animation style in the movie is a radical departure from their traditional looks. -

What about the monkeys they already have? The previous CMF monkey recoloured could be nice, though that too seems like a stretch for a GWP. Or they'll use the monkey they introduced this year, even if it's inaccurate. They used a white bird to portray a duck in the Friends Apartments after all. A black one was supposed to be released in the cancelled Dynamite Factory set, but I haven't seen any evidence of it making its way out into the wild. -

But what if it's really just a new version of Slave I, which Disney has now decided to retitle Boba Fett's Palace? Dang, I don't know why, but I felt like LEGO would do a smaller set to tie in with the show, and in which we could get Boba and Fennec more cheaply. The Palace could be cool and worth it no doubt, but I was hoping for something at the 30$/€ price range. -
Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
There is no such revelation. The only bit of news is that there will be 4 series, two of which we currently know about. The other two could be anything! Further, Jurassic World Dominion is not necessarily getting 10 sets to coincide with its release. There are 10 Jurassic-tied sets (based on set numbers), 6 of which are currently rumoured to be Dominion based and will presumably coincide with its release. The others might or might not be based on Dominion, and could release at other points in the year. Regardless of WB's media push, I personally think LEGO is going to be a bit hesitant. They know HP sells, they don't know if FB sells. FB is aimed at an older audience. LEGO barely made any sets to coincide with CoG. I could go on, but I'm not expecting much FB material personally. -

The statements are around pricing changes in Eurozone countries. The UK is not on the Euro, nor even in the EU anymore. -
This is patently false though. LEGO has been increasing representations of disabilities: wheelchair-bound figures in both everyday city settings and a sports setting (not to mention as a Barcelona fan in the GWP), a figure with a hearing aid, and overtly blind figures in both City and Friends. Within Licensed themes, they have been looking to represent characters with a variety of skin tones whenever possible, and even when it isn't the most obvious choice - in Harry Potter this year they went so far as to make a figure of a completely background teacher just so that they could work in a black and female figure. That also partially informed the choice in the Marvel CMF to produce Monica Rambeau, a black female character for whom they made a wonderful, intricate new hair mould, and who again wasn't the most significant one they could've chosen from Wandavision. I'm not inferring this stuff either; it was mentioned in interviews. To your other cynical point about The Office, it's not like everything Ashton likes gets made. He said he wished they could've done Golden Girls, which reached the threshold on Ideas, but it didn't. There are numerous factors that go into what gets made.

That was beside the point and an assumption, but I was thinking of Queer Eye and Everyone Is Awesome. Even if not that group specifically, plenty of groups and people around the world wouldn't think those sets would be suitable for anyone, and LEGO would well know that, but isn't worried about who it offends. And I did incorrectly represent something in my post - it was a Turkish community in Austria, not in Turkey. I have edited it. Point is, one tiny group caused a stir, news outlets picked it up, LEGO took no action and there's no reason to think they won't make another Jabba's Palace, exterior and all. -

People bring up the Jabba's Palace controversy like every six months, but seem to forget that at the time LEGO issued multiple statements saying they're sorry some people in the Turkish community in Austria found it offensive but it's based on Star Wars, and that they were retiring it when they had always planned to retire it and no sooner. Unless I missed something, LEGO took no action about it (besides issuing those statements defending their product), and there's no reason to think they won't release another Jabba's Palace! Disney clearly isn't shying away from the location. It was in truth a very very minor issue coming out of just one miniscule part of a market for LEGO, but was picked up as a global news story because news thrives off of stories like that - mega worldwide companies being accused of things. The same group supposedly offended by Jabba's Palace would for sure be much more offended by some of LEGO's more recent products. -
Why some Bricklink sellers have no instant checkout?
Clone OPatra replied to BrickObsessed's topic in General LEGO Discussion
BL is a marketplace for vendors. There is no such thing as "their stores"; rather, it's individual people's stores on Bricklink. There's nearly never going to be a "deal" on shipping like you'd get from a company because it's all private individuals or individually-run tiny companies selling to you, and thus they need to cover their real costs on each order. They're not doing anything at scale. That's why it's up to the savvy buyer to make an account with wishlists so you can place orders that are worth your while. Also the notion that it never changes is objectively false. Instant checkout, PayPal on site, heck even the ability for carts to save from one session to another are all newer features that weren't there five years ago. I get that there is a bit of a learning curve to how BL works, but once you master that (which is pretty quick), it works well for what it's trying to do. -
Why some Bricklink sellers have no instant checkout?
Clone OPatra replied to BrickObsessed's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hey, I remember placing US Bricklink orders back when PayPal felt sketchy and wasn't as widely used, so I had to physically mail a money order off after going to get one (who even uses those any more, if they exist), wait for that to get to the person, then wait for them to send my parts. Manual invoicing is a minor inconvenience compared to that! -
71033 LEGO Muppets CMF Series - Rumors & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to Borex's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think it depends a bit on the prominence of the character. If a character is major in their own right, I'd doubt they'll be done as an accessory, as seen in the Looney Tunes series. The Marvel ones are just side characters, and in fact Throg was cut entirely besides a tiny Easter Egg appearance, though LEGO didn't know that. -

@kidtheboss611 not sold out & constantly available to buy =/= not selling well. I don't know where you get that idea. LEGO is in the business of selling its products during its desired window of availability and then retiring them to make way for other products. LEGO wants people to be able to buy its products during the time they're available and plans the production numbers accordingly. The only time UCS sets might sell out is during the initial launch because that's where a lot of the demand is concentrated (and LEGO might underestimate or bungle it), just like theatrically released films do most of their money on the first couple weekends and then slowly make some more for the rest of the time they're planned to be in theatres. And yes, we can 100% confidently say that the fact LEGO keeps making OT UCS sets and has for around 20 years is a perfect sign that sales support the line continuing. They're not making these sets just for fun - they're making them to make money. By the way, I personally never said PT UCS sets don't/won't sell, but rather that LEGO has very little data and certainly no contemporary data of the current marketplace until now, which is also not a matter opinion but a fact. -

Your question doesn't make sense because the same need for good sales is applied to OT UCS sets, and they already have the data (I bolded for clarity). They already have proof that OT UCS sets sell, so they're going to keep making more continuously and that's what they will have already planned and have ready to release next year. For PT UCS sets, they have to wait and see how the Gunship does, so even if they have enough sales data to greenlight more today, we still wouldn't see them before 2023. If you're LEGO and you have zero current data on how much true sales demand there is for PT material in the UCS line, it makes perfect sense to wait and see how your PT UCS set does. Will a fan vote translate into strong sales? Will the UCS buying landscape truly have changed significantly from ten years ago? As a company run for profit, this is something they'd want to find out. That doesn't necessarily mean the ENTIRE decision to make more PT material is riding on the Gunship's sales, but it would be a factor. -
Wow they're actually advocating swapping hands between different torsos? I thought that was an official LEGO no-no! Yeah very interesting about the packaging too. Why couldn't they do that for some of the other properties that really needed more life in their packaging, like Winnie the Pooh and Sesame Street. Hopefully this is a step in that direction for future products and not a one off. Overall, looks like I expected. I've never watched the show, but it's a nice lofty looking loft. A bit more rectangular than the other TV show-set sets thus far.

I was going to say the same, but there are too many different spots we see at the Homestead to make that truly convincing. There's the main hut itself for which we never clearly see the interior, then the whole outdoor sunken section, and the dining room with the memorable ceiling. Plus little bits of the interior like the kitchen and where Luke talks to 3PO and R2. Just a little piece on a black stand wouldn't really cut it, but better than nothing. The more I think about it, the more an MBS set that includes everything and both the PT and OT cast of characters sounds like the best way to represent it all, but this is getting into wishlisting now and way off topic. -

I don't actually see it happening in that format either, just making the point that all info needs to be taken with a bit of a grain of salt (or sand). They've got to know we want Beru after all these years! -

A big properly detailed Luke's Landspeeser doesn't sound bad, but $200 seems overboard. You could make a nice big model of it for $100 or $150. I suppose UCS necessarily equals a minimum price point now though, since the last time they did a $100 UCS it was disastrous. But like some have said, the leaked info has been getting slightly sketchier. We had a Delorean that turned out to be a Pickup Truck, Peach's Castle which turned out to be the N64 Block, etc. Maybe this is an MBS Lars Homestead that includes a Landspeeder. On another point, if they truly are waiting on sales figures from the Gunship before greenlighting more prequel UCS sets, it'd make sense that we wouldn't see another one until 2023 if the Gunship is successful. Even if they have some sketch models kicking around, it takes time to ready things and get them into production. -

The way they do the 18+ Star Wars sets, I can totally see them making an AT-ST more accurately sized for minifigures that uses soooo many tiny parts and has a big base that they then sell it for $60. It's a theme. On face value the parts count for the prices don't look bad, but the resulting model sizes are pretty small. I honestly don't get the Hoth love and never have. Back when I watched the movies on VHS tapes, I'd fast forward through Hoth every time because it dragged on and on so much and I wanted to get to the rest of the movie. As a battle Endor was and is so much more exciting to me, and yet we've only gotten one Endor bunker in all this time - still one of the best OT sets ever IMO. I guess it's because ESB is the "best one" in popular opinion, so many of the new 18+ sets are based on that now that LEGO is doing this variety of 18+ display thingies. -
71033 LEGO Muppets CMF Series - Rumors & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to Borex's topic in LEGO Licensed
Dang. I like the Muppets, but I just can't get into the moulded head series of late. Much like Looney Tunes, all of the Muppet characters have fairly simple designs apart from their heads and simple colour schemes, and coupled with all the new moulds needed for the heads, that means next to no cool generally reusable stuff. Simpsons was a bit different because their bodies at least could be used in other standard city settings, but with colourful and plain characters like the Muppets, I don't see it. Oh well, money saved for me. -

If the Mando helmet is actually shaped properly and not based on the Minifigure Mando, it wouldn't be a recolour of Boba's. Their actual shapes have pretty distinct differences from each other. Given LEGO's other representations of Mando though, it's just as likely it won't be shaped properly.
