  2. Eurobricks' Alt-Build Contest Announcing our winners! Thank you to everyone who entered our 2025 Alt-Build Contest! It was amazing seeing 75 creative entries across the three categories, and we encourage everyone to check out all the entries and to post comments. Our panel of Eurobricks staff judges @Jim, @Bob De Quatre, @Captain Nemo and @MKJoshA had a tough job scoring all of the entries, and there were a lot of very narrow margins, but we have our winners. Large Category - @Equilibrium Congrats on winning the 180 EUR prize! Medium Category - @Mandalorianknight Congrats on winning the 150 EUR prize! Small Category - @6180HydroSearchSub Congrats on winning the 110 EUR prize! Runners up Since we had so many entries in the Small and Medium categories, thanks to LEGO we're able to award two more prizes of 65 EUR to the small and medium runners up! Medium runner up - @alanyuppie Small runner up - @Kai NRG Winners will receive PMs from me very soon about selecting their prizes. Please help us in congratulating our winners and everyone who entered!
  3. Me too! Will definitely need to put it next to the koala somewhere in my display. Poor koala has been kept in the dark in my big box of animals. I can't see them doing an adult kangaroo in a CMF, but they could do a joey. Those would be a great three to have together. It's almost too hard to pick three favourite LEGO animals, but if I had to if probably go ostrich, squirrel and lion or bear. I love the posable/rideable ones, but the squirrel is cute and close to (my original) home.
  4. The series has finally landed in Australia and I managed to get all of the Minifigures I wanted, including two beast masters, on the second day of release. It pays to go to a further out shop than the ones in the more densely populated area where I live. It's a good set of figures, though the cupid wings being their own piece is weird. It does add a little bit of extra bulk over them being one piece with the neck attachment, and I'm not sure what's gained from them being their own piece really. Though the steampunk inventor's arm attachment uses a bunch of pieces, he still feels a little unbalanced. Even a simple hammer for his other hand could've been good. But these are minor gripes and I like the figures I got overall.
  5. Got the Duelling Club set today (thanks Insiders Points that I was given for my PaB delay) - and now that I have it in hand, I'm not a big fan of the rubber cape for Lockhart. I thought I'd like it from the pictures, and it's a cool part in general, but it just doesn't feel quite right for this purpose. Good thing he throws it off, I guess!
  6. Thanks everyone for all your great entries! Our judges will now get to work, and we'll announce winners in about a week.
  7. This is super fun. I love the shaping you've got going on, and it feels like it could have transformed out of the set. Thrawn's no-nonsense expression seals the deal.
  8. I get very cozy vibes from this. Lovely work on the snow covering. Is there any interior?
  9. Nice job! I like this much better than the actual set.
  10. New pieces have just dropped, and wow, those Wicked and Wednesday hairpiece prices are uniquely terrible. I've never seen hairpiece prices this bad before. No thanks.
  11. 76418 Harry Potter Advent Calendar alt-build (medium category):
  12. For my final entry to the alt-build contest, I tried my hand at what I could build out of the 2023 Harry Potter Advent Calendar. Here's what I've got: two speeder bikes and droid companions. And the droids by themselves: That's it!
  13. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/forums/topic/200424-contest-eurobricks-alt-build-contest-2025/
  14. Impressive, most impressive! You've seriously done an awesome job with this, and I'm sorry we can't accept it in this iteration of the alt-build contest. We might run another one allowing for larger sets in the future!
  15. We've drifted a wee bit off topic.
  16. That was the idea, but I also won't disqualify you for posting it where you feel like as long as you enter it in the Entry topic.
  17. @M_longer ah ok. Bit of a grey area, but go ahead and post them on Eurobricks and enter them if you'd like.
  18. Models have to be first posted as a contest entry or at least first posted simultaneously as a contest entry and elsewhere, so if you have already made and posted something and then found out about the contest, that wouldn't be within the rules unfortunately.
  19. Me too - my October 9th order has changed to Shipped, but nothing in email.
  20. Reminder: Eurobricks' Alt-Build Contest Entries close January 27 2025 There are two weeks left to enter our alt-build contest! Grab a set and make an alternative build out of it, with three size categories to enter: Small - sets up to $30 USD RRP Medium - sets between $31 and $80 USD RRP Large - sets between $81 and $150 USD RRP Go to the contest topic for more details and to ask any questions. Also be sure to check out all of the great entries so far. Entries close January 27th, 2025. Happy building!
  21. Oh cool now the Wolfpack torso has disappeared from the site entirely. Ah well....
  22. The City ones are in stock on the Australian site.
  23. Dang. If they have such a widespread issue how can they just let these orders sit there with no action, instead of doing something like pushing reorders through for all of them. I emailed about my October 9 standard order and they gave me some Insiders points, which is nice, but it's still all just sitting there In Warehouse.
  24. PaB has been updated with some new parts, including a few things from the Burrow and the City advent sweaters. Will they ever add the printed parts from the August 2024 sets though? They added the new non-printed stuff a while back, but not the prints. They've also weirdly removed that new hat/hair from Dreamzzz and Jaws, besides the one colour that has been on for longer.
  25. Yes, unfortunately just out of range.
