  1. They've made huts for Like, Yoda and Obi-Wan, plus small Mos Eisley Cantinas, but people are sure a $30-40 Dex's Diner with small representative exterior, one booth, Dex, Obi and droid wouldn't sell? Attack of the Clones is just massively underrepresented in LEGO and I honestly have no hope on them ever circling back to cover the material.
  2. I've consistently been on PaB throughout this time and I've still never had the new renders turn up for me!
  3. Totally agreed. I hope LEGO is smart enough to know that all of the fan fervour for a 501st Battle Pack didn't mean fans ONLY want 501st battle packs, because since 2020 the only clone ones have been 501st or 501st adjacent, while other legions are on other types of sets. I am glad for the people who either didn't get the previous set with a 332nd (which should've always included at least two of them - just one was pathetic), or wanted to army build in a cheaper and more accessible way, but for me I just have no interest coming off of the other 501st sets. Personally I'd most like to see either 327th or 21st Nova Corps. Both would look substantially different to the other available clones, and have either cool accessories pauldrons for 327th) or new moulds (Baccara's helmet at least). Though without kamas, the Nova Corps would look pretty inaccurate.
  4. Nope they're cheap on this with all themes. Even CMF have bad white (and sometimes yellow) on dark colour printing. That doesn't excuse it but they're uniformly atrocious! Actually LEGO used to be better on print colour and clarity in my opinion. Sure they were never perfect - some old castle figures also had white on red printing that was a bit too light for example - but it's gotten so common now that I literally expect white and sometimes yellow printed on particular colours to look horrible. There's really no excuse for it other than LEGO simply not caring.
  5. Plus the bat is more of a matte piece, while the helmet is glossy.
  6. They do? Star Wars figures are more detailed than ever. They almost always have leg prints and now arm prints are becoming more common in regular sets in Star Wars as well. What people complain about is incorrect details. The only actual lack I've seen people complain about lately is the lack of kamas, and the poor way they're represented in print instead.
  7. I too would like to see a good $80-120 range Lovegood House. The other things I'd like are missing or not redone minifigures, which could fit into some also missing locations. For example, a Malfoy Manor battle (probably not including the exterior) that has a great Narcissa and a Mr Malfoy with a proper new head. A Shell Cottage with Bill. I think a Weasley Wedding set would also be quite nice, and we'd get a whole new range of outfits for characters. This line does seem to like doing various different dressed-up outfits. Not that I care myself, but a new Borgin and Burke's could be a good set. While I'm happy with the one we got, a somewhat larger 4 Privet Drive from PoA with Marge could be good. As an important location, a somewhat larger redo of that one is warranted.
  8. I too was amazed by the dual lightsaber Ahsoka used in Star Wars The Force Awakens. And when she shouted It's Morbin Time before decapitating Kylo Ren! Truly SWTFA was a film of all time. I almost don't want to Flag as Spammer ban you so this post can stay, but alas, that isn't how we do things.
  9. These piece counts are all over the place, but like others I'm super happy to see some lower prices in the theme again. Perhaps the one with the super low piece count could come with some sort of large moulded creature? There are a few candidates, like a "Troll! In the dungeon!"
  10. The Black Panther bust and Hulkbuster - those were close together. A year apart for big Minifigure-compatible builds is totally fine. That Blackbird price is big oof. I'd say I hope it comes with like six X-Men plus villains for that kind of price, but I'm sure it won't. I'll have to see if it's worthy even on sale.
  11. My anticipation was high for the Gunship when rumoured details came out, but I'm not loving it. There's something about it that makes it not as impressive looking as either of the last two. Like many people I'm at least half in it for the Minifigures when it comes to Star Wars, and while these look decent in rendered images, we know Fox presents various let downs. He shouldn't have white beneath the breastplate section of his armour, the white isn't going to be near opaque enough, and the kama is lousy (though that's the most fixable for anyone with spare kamas). The figure just doesn't knock it out of the park quality-wise, and the Ahsoka sets - especially the T6 - have ultimately stolen my interest away from this one.
  12. I don't know if it's something lost in translation here, but no need to be rude ever, and especially not when it's your error for not elaborating on what you're talking about.
  13. They are for me, or at least the 332nd one is: https://www.lego.com/en-au/product/332nd-ahsoka-s-clone-trooper-battle-pack-75359 Edit: mechs are too.
  14. Very odd about that helmet. Every other colour they have made of it has been available, even the orange one before they put it in a set. Why would they suddenly not list the purple one? Same with the black shaggy bowl cut from the same set - they've listed the other colours so far, but not that one.
  15. I always like to see new hairpieces, and I hope they'll show up on PaB like the Marvel Series 1 ones did. Otherwise, yeah... the series feels just ok. The figures are nicely detailed - best Wolverine yet for sure - but some of the accessories are a bit lacking. Not too sad that I'll be skipping this one due to it being in boxes, though I'm sure later series will frustrate me more. Ah yeah I was going to ask the same. Kate's looks new, but is Hawley's different from his old one?
  16. While I'm totally cool that people are happy or satisfied with LEGO's current clone design, this line of argument is still disingenuous. It's like saying: No new Star Wars movie: people complain. New Star Wars movie is Rise of Skywalker: people complain. It's ok for people to want something and then not be happy with the way in which that thing they wanted is presented/designed/delivered. I bought the 501st specialist pack to see for myself, and in my honest opinion the new helmets are a bit wonky, and the placement of the rangefinder feels most wrong. The little strip of kama doesn't look like a kama at all, and LEGO could do much much better. For random specialists I don't really care, though they treated the random one-off ARC better in the past, but for Rex it's more problematic. Again, my opinion from direct experience.
  17. I'm conflicted about the new Rex, but I feel the negatives outweigh the positives. The main positive is the printing on the helmet. It looks much better proportioned than the old one, and I like the greyed in cheeks style. The main negative is of course the farcical strips of printing to pass as representing a cloth skirt, but the helmet holes haven't totally grown on me and look doubly silly when used with a range finder, and like the old version the pauldron is a bad match because Rex's pauldron sticks out to a point and doesn't droop over his shoulder.
  18. Yes we let the non-LEGO discussion go on far too long. Back to directly about LEGO now, thanks.
  19. Usually, but not always. The last General Grevious Starfighter comes to mind. Perhaps LEGO was given nothing else to work with from the film. And just to be clear, I'm not excusing this at all. It's an abominable price. I'm just hypothesizing about why it has happened - especially as there's a misconception that the way it works is that designers finish a set and then the pricing department goes "ooooh what can we get away with charging for this", which isn't how it works.
  20. Yeah, fans seem way better at it than LEGO themselves, while still coming up with designs that look totally aligned to LEGO's style.
  21. I'm talking about in the development phase. They lock in the prices for a set or a wave before they finalise the actual content of each set, and each set or wave is given a budget. It doesn't happen that often, but if a set winds up being much smaller than its intended price point, it's hard for the design team to go ask for the price point to be reviewed and aligned to the content of the set. They basically have to work towards the price point and it can almost never be changed, from what I understand. The recent price increases are a different matter. They seem to just be across the board increases not because of what's in a set, but because of overall cost decisions.
  22. Reminds of the Ministry Set, where they did new faces for Harry and Hermione but just reprinted the same old Ron face for his de-polyjuiced version. It annoys me about Hermione as well, but it's part of a broader issue that LEGO has pushed themselves into so uniform a style for minifigure design that they seem to struggle with capturing especially women who apparently have no "defining features" when distilled down into minifigure form. If they went back to sparingly using a few more soft lines for things like cheekbones (which I suppose they still do sometimes) they could do a lot better. I still maintain that though the style was a bit weird, the Goblet of Fire / Order of the Phoenix Hermione minifigure did the best job at capturing the character's essence and even being reminiscent of Emma Watson.
  23. Just like they had to add Black Widow and Nick Fury to Iron Man 2 to give that film a boost? Or Black Widow and Nick Fury (again) to Captain America 2? It's called building out a character's universe... People really want to push the conspiracy theories for Captain Marvel no matter what. This set could be $90 for a number of reasons. One could be that they set the price before they had finished the model (which absolutely happens), then the model turned out smaller than they thought it would to capture what source material they had, and pricing was too inflexible to change.
  24. As George Lucas' Padawan, Dave definitely knows how to deliver merchandise-worthy material. Though I'll likely only get the T-6, I love to see these Ahsoka sets. They're so colourful, look like good LEGO designs, don't skimp on the figures in quantity or quality (besides Sabine's arms). We even get four new figure moulds and one is a generic hairpiece! I wish Star Wars could always deliver waves with this level of excitement.
