The hairpiece is new. It is used here and in the Batcave in black, as well in the new Jedi Interceptor for EpIII Obi-Wan in dark orange.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I quite liked the episode, and especially the characterization of Krell. He reminded me of the Jedi that we see in Old Republic era novels. Really, the Jedi are on the whole rather boring in the Clone Wars. Some have a little bit of anger, but mostly they are all the same. The Jedi in Old Republic and Sith era books are much more interesting because they actually have emotions and different personalities, though they are still Jedi. -

Didn't they appear again in the Geonosis episodes from last season? (Or was it Season 2?) I distinctly remember them coming back, and thinking that it was odd, but oh well. What I've always wondered is why the show designers took off the bubble turrets in the first place. -
I just keep my eyes out on the internet I'm glad you found it interesting (and that you read the blog).

Single Pane LEGO Licensed Theme Funnies
Clone OPatra replied to Gregorovich's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oky, I wouldn't say nobody cares. There is just so much less traffic in here than in SW, so there will be less people who feel like comments. I always get a good laugh from yours, but since I have nothing really to say other than that I found them funny, I don't comment. I figure a lot of people react similarly. (Also, if you work in SW somehow we can blog them and get in more people that way ) -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

Guys, posts on prices have already been moved once to the correct topic. Please don't continuously mire this one in price discussion. Overall, I've seen a lot of negative attitudes towards the sets themselves in this wave, and I'm wondering where it's coming from. I'm not going to buy them all of course, but that's just not what I do anyway. I think the new Tie Fighter looks amazing, and the X-Wing is quite a good redesign and comes with some nice figures. For anybody who does not have an X-Wing especially, this is a good rendition to pick up, and frankly it's been a long time since they did the X-Wing despite it still being on the shelves all this time. The Y-Wing is ok, though I liked the last cockpit design better. I quite like the Clone Wars sets myself as well. I guess the cannons in both the BP and the Geonosis set are pretty lame, but the figure complement in each set by far makes up for it. The Geonosis set especially is a good source of parts in interesting colors, even if the design is poor. The only sets that really don't impress me are the Endor BP, Escape Pod, and Jedi Interceptor. I understand why the Endor BP will be exciting to some, but honestly a crappy tree and another speeder don't do it for me, and I already have Endor Rebels. I know that the stormie and one rebel are newly designed, but it's not different enough to be exciting. The Escape Pod I just find a really lame set. Honestly, what is anybody (especially kids) going to do with an Escape Pod? It just seems like a poor excuse to make a set with some Sandtroopers. Give us a Cantina instead, even a small one. Finally, I find the Interceptor to be an ugly, oversized model that is worse than the the older versions. Coupled with the fact that Anakin is ugly as hell and that the little Mustafar platform/droid are thrown in for little reason or use, this is a really dumb set. -
That's a MOC. Completely a MOC. A really awesome, huge, highly detailed MOC. But still a MOC. It was not done by LEGO, and it is in no way related to any possibility of there being a theme.

I never said it didn't come from there, now did I?

Since I'm not sure 10or's post was quite descriptive enough, let me deeplink it: I do agree with the sentiment LMAO though. @Matn - If a Years 1-7 game had a significant amount of new stuff, then I agree it would be cool. If it was just like Star Wars: The Complete Saga though, I'm not sure what the point would be, besides for it all being on one game disc instead of two. The release of a 1-7 game also seems contingent to me on if they release more sets or not. It seems to me like they wouldn't release another game even half a year after their last Harry Potter sets, but you never know.

KisKatona, I merged your thread with the already existing one. Just for the future, when you are thinking about a topic that you know others are also probably interested in, try doing a search. It doesn't work one hundred percent of the time, but you can often easily turn something up.

As I remember, Lucas worked closely on it (at least the first one) to approve the story and whatnot. This alone makes it very "Star Wars," at least in the story aspect of it. Personally, I find the Battlefront games plenty Star Wars, but since they don't really tell a part of the Star Wars story it doesn't matter.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

You're right! That's somewhat of a shame, but it is a bit more accurate since she did have a short-ish robe as I remember. But I also don't remember her cloak being blue, soโฆ Actually, it is kind of blue, though in the episode it looked more grey to me: Uh, no. There are quite a few posts saying as much. It matches the Sandtroopers, who have that same print but dirty. -
Masked, I like what you're trying to do in your pic, but at the same time I would like to offer a few critiques, if I may. Since your focus is so shallow and the object that you are focusing on is so small, it's pretty hard to tell that anything is in focus upon first glance. With either a more prominent missile or a slightly different angle, the action could be much easier to make out.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Clone OPatra replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Do you mean other than the two he's already given us? Since you can see those two in his folder, though there is no front-on view of the figures. The new pictures of the Geonosian cannon just confirm that it's my favorite of the wave. Yes, the set is obviously about the minifigures, but I don't find anything wrong with that, since they are all quite good. This set will also compliment the Geonosian Fighter from the summer wave quite nicely. @Brickdoctor, I don't see how the Zombie Geo spoils the inclusion of wings. Even if they didn't have wings in the show (I think they did, but I don't remember), what could be wrong with getting more wings? I'd like as many wings as I can get. The Zombie having a gun doesn't make sense, but that too is an easy fix: take away the gun. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

Why is that? The impression I've gotten of him so far is that he's gruff and he doesn't like Droids. But would you like C-3PO if you met him? He may not be a nice Commander like Cody or Bly, but I haven't seen enough of him to make me actually dislike him. I appreciate that he actually has a distinctive personality. -
Would you really want a mini Boga though? I don't think that would be very exciting. I would like to see a Felucia with mini anything and Commander Bly, but that's mainly because I want a Bly, and Felucia is a pretty planet.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I think that this season has so far been the best for episodes that are funny in a way that they didn't intend. I'm sure many people wanted to see a full on fight between Grevious and Galia take center stage, but it was so much more hilarious to see it half happening with the focus being something else. I mean really, didn't anybody else laugh when you see Galia go flying across the background while the Droids are doing something or other? And then there's R2 squishing the "Big Whateverthing." I couldn't believe they actually put that into the show; it was so gross, but also funny. Was that Felucia by the way? It kind of looked like it, but I wasn't sure. This episode felt a lot like the different "Tales ofโฆ" books that came out some time ago. It was just a window into a few different societies, although of course much more poorly developed than the stories in those books (which are mostly quite good). Absolutely nothing about this episode made a shred of sense, it's true, which isn't really a good thing. But it is good for a condescending laugh. -

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Clone OPatra replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
In light of these new pictures, none of these sets excite me very much (I'm still waiting for high-res pics of the Barriss/Gree set). The one I like the most is the Clone Wars BP, if only for the Clones included. A single interesting Clone can cost $15 on BL anyway, so $15 for four figures and some parts isn't bad. I'm also wondering if the set will have all of the Clone accessories in red, since it includes a red antenna and, so far, Clone accessories have only ever come all together. I do like the new cloth Clone skirt better than the plastic ones, though. At first I thought the Interceptor was a neat set, but I quickly came to think otherwise. The ship itself is way too big, way way way too big. Just look at the pic that Fallen posted and then look at the picture of the set. Even the original design was a bit too big, but that's just because of the odd scale of minifigures. This one seems ridiculous. The Anakin figure is also extremely ugly, the face anyway. I understand what LEGO was going for, but it's kind of a turn-off. Obi-Wan definitely has a new hair-mould though, and he and Nute look pretty cool. And what's to be said for the rest? They are all fine, they just don't interest me. I have no desire for more Endor rebels or a new Tie or a new X-Wing, and really I think the Droid Escape set is quite boring. The Sandtroopers are nice, but they don't justify the entire set. -

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
Clone OPatra replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
0%. Superheroes might be popular to some extent, but not like Star Wars is to LEGO's target age group.Looking at these sets, it seems LEGO has already run out of ideas. There is just no way that this theme could carry on with the strength of Star Wars, though it will probably be stronger than Spongebob. -
REVIEW: 7255 General Grievous Chase
Clone OPatra replied to TheKingOfBuilding's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The EpIII range really wasn't a wonderful time for LEGO, though I perfectly liked Wookie Attack. This set, on the other hand, was pretty bad. I got it mainly for Obi-Wan, and I did like that Obi-Wan figure. Obi-Wan and Grevious' cape are the best parts of this set. The bike wasn't wonderful, but it did roll tolerably well, which was something. Grevious might seem more LEGO-y in this form, but he's awfully lame. He isn't reminiscent of the character at all, since he isn't bent over and his head is so cylindrical. Also, the way in which his arms are arrayed makes it impossible for him to hold his lightsabers in a way that looks good, especially all four. I found just giving him two was the best solution. The absolute worst part of this set was Boga. Since it uses those Dino pieces, it is absolutely rigid and not pose-able. I don't know what they could've done, but this is pretty bad. Overall, really not one of my favorites. -
Well, since Brickdoctor never blogged this, I took the liberty of doing it myself (I hope Doc will forgive me). This is awesome!

I agree that the front looks a little bit elongated, but this is still a great MOC of the Snowspeeder. Snowspeeder MOCs never cease to amaze me; this is leaps and bounds beyond the crappy Snowspeeder that LEGO always puts out.
