  1. Oh, I probably just got mixed up. Alright, let me amend that to being disappointed that they did that again, though there's no reason why they wouldn't exactly. Every time they do, it just makes the exchange between Dooku and Anakin in ROTS less cool. The way Dooku sounds in RotS, it just seems like he and Anakin haven't met since AotC. I know there's no reason why they couldn't, but if they met all the time (like they have in CW) there's no reason why Dooku would reasonably say what he does.
  2. This Gungan episode had what is most likely the worst plot ever, as the people who have already been pointing our the errors have demonstrated. But, it was still better than the first three episodes, just because it wasn't boring. I thought the animation and look of this one were both really fantastic, especially the rainy fight with Grevious. Did anybody mention that they finally made Anakin and Dooku meet after all that time claiming they wouldn't? Good job CW people.
  3. You say this, but the same applies to the T-16, which gets 0 screentime besides for being a toy in the movie. I would argue that the podracers are much, much more popular than the T-16, which was probably only ever made into a set because that was a dark time for the SW license anyway.I think the top vehicles related to Tatooine are the Sandcrawler, Jabba's Sail Barge, and then the Podracers. Since EpI is being rereleased, it makes total sense that of those three the EpI was being chosen.
  4. A similar piece was used in some World City and Fire sets from several years back, in dark blue and orange. To muscleman, did you buy this in a new set, or in some old lot?
  5. So, um… it seems a new addition to the topic with all the ranks might be in order. Perhaps?
  6. That's a great army Penguin! I love the presentation too (you've always got great presentation).
  7. Artoo, though I'm sorry that you feel somewhat angry at me for this review, I cannot agree with these statements: I do not find it 'inconsiderate' to say whatever I want to say in a review. Everybody has their own opinion, and since I am the one reviewing, I get to share mine. Personally, I do not understand why people would get themselves in a tizzy over something that some anonymous person on the internet wrote about the set. You don't really know me, and I don't really know you. What I try to accomplish in a review is to show a set in enough depth that you could throw out all of my comments and still get a good sense of the set. This is true because some people are not going to agree with what I have to say about the set anyway, but my review should still be of use to them. Or they can just get a good laugh. I often employ a lot of hyperbole, it's true, but that is the way I like to write. Also, please do not blow something that is not really true out of proportion, as you do with these comments: Looking at the text of this review, I do not find that I even dug into the old versions very much. I said these are better, that's it. I even said that Anakin's old face captured the character better. You are basing an opinion of me off of my reviews of the recent Harry Potter sets, but Harry Potter is a different story. If I had reviewed the old HP sets at the time of their release and slammed the minifigs (because of would've), nobody would've cried foul. But that's a different discussion. Please check out my review of 8092 Luke's Landspeeder to see that, even when I'm reviewing a new set, sometimes I like the old figures equally well. Also be sure to look at my reviews of 7110 Landspeeder and 7101 Lightsaber Duel, from which you will find that I absolutely do not hate the old figures.
  8. This seems like a gripe-y, fruitless topic to me. Everybody has probably been angry at TRU at one point or another, but that's how it goes. If you're unhappy with them, then don't shop there.
  9. Funny, I just read that Arkham Asylum book. I have an edition with the full script with the author's notes, which was interesting, but overall I didn't like it very much. It wasn't really what I'm looking for when I want to read a comic, and I found the Joker's text nearly impossible to read. I didn't hate it by any means, I just didn't like it so much. I've also read some other Bat comics recently. They were Catwoman in Rome, Sirens Union, and Joker. Those I liked better, since they were more normal. I liked the 'realistic' depictions of the classic villains in Joker and the way that it sort of played off of the Joker in Dark Knight. I can't say I had any clue what was going on in Sirens Union with the Hush Batman stuff. I don't actually follow any comics at all, so a lot of that stuff was completely lost on me. Do I assume correctly that the original Robin took over as Batman since Bruce Wayne was gone because Hush was impersonating him? But Catwoman seemed to know all this and hang out with Dick Grayson as Batman? Comics get too confusing… But I still liked it, especially Riddler as a semi-detective. Catwoman in Rome at least made complete sense, even if it did take place between two other series. That was a nice pleasant comic.
  10. I haven't seen this new deleted scene posted here yet. Personally, I feel like Harrison Ford's acting in the takes used here is extremely stilted and wooden. Especially the line 'we'll meet again.' I'm glad this didn't make it into the final cut.
  11. Thanks for sharing those commanderneyo. I'm getting more and more excited for this season! That excitement will probably start to wear off after news of whatever is going to happen next in Mortis and stupid Gungan/GG battles, but whatever. For now, I can't wait.
  12. Hooray, this review is public so now I can comment on the set! This set fails to impress me in the same way that nearly every other set of the Spongebob line fails to impress me. It just seems like the shell of something to me; in this case, the shell of an amusement park. It gets the feel of the show down, and the minifigures are cute and tempting as always, but the set itself just feels like a facade. Spongebob's house, the boating school, and the Krusty Krab all looked the same way to me. The original Krusty Krab is the only SB set I have, and while it looks semi-nice, it just felt too empty. When it comes to SB vehicles, I always find them to rely too heavily on big pieces or just look badly designed, like the bus. There are good points, of course, like the parts. The parts themselves in SB sets are nearly always good. Still, I can't help feeling that this set is pretty lame. At least it's reasonably priced.
  13. Yes, it was. I believe it was in the premiere arc of last season, with the attack on Kamino. There were a few ARC troopers who had the fin on a Phase II helmet.
  14. Since they are both listed as ARC Troopers, it's possible they will be a phase 1.5 helmet mould - a Phase II helmet with a Phase I fin.
  15. I believe it's the new Blu-Ray edition actually, since the last update was before Revenge of the Sith. (I could be wrong about this, though) The reason they were removed is to keep continuity with Anakin's brows getting burned off, because we all know once brows are burned, they can never grow back.
  16. I have read that it is not so much of a reboot as a new storyline, with the same Transformers but a new human protagonist and such. I think the idea is for the Transformers like Optimus and Co to remain looking the same so that they clearly link to this trilogy, but a whole new plotline without Witwicky and Bay. As to deaths of Tranformers, the way these films are it seems nobody truly ever dies. It took them all of one second to reboot Megatron in the second one, so who knows.
  17. No there were not. Bane only provided Star Wars pics.
  18. Awesome vig 'Doc! The ARC is just perfect, nevermind the exhaust being too big. The CW is all about too-big weaponry anyway. I really like the posing of the ships and interior as well. The one part I'm not so fond of is the Vulture Droid. When I looked at the first picture, I thought you might be going for a Hyena Bomber. Perhaps if you could somehow work out adding a second cockpit-ish thing on it, a Hyena would work, and look better for the size. I agree with you that the floor of the hangar being flush with space is a little funny, but it isn't really a problem. It looks fine. Of course, this had to go on the blog!
  19. The remaining winter sets are the Y-Wing and Tie Fighter, with the B-Wing being a UCS which do not follow the exact same release pattern. WE probably have not seen the Y-Wing and Tie because they might be store exclusives, meaning they would not be in a regular retailer catalog.
  20. Not Friends the sitcom, if that's what you're thinking. That's the name of the new City girl-oriented theme that's replacing Belville.
  21. Hearing it was underwater themes month, CloneyO and Ginny raced back from outer Classic Space, donned their favorite bubble helmets, and took to the seas! I'm not sure why they did, though, since the real CloneyO despises underwater themes. A theme month is a theme month, I suppose, and then I can go back to outer space.
  22. There should be two platforms. One is a mining droid that Anakin rides, and the other is the floating platform that Obi-Wan rides.
  23. I know I've posted these in another thread a while ago, but they apply here. I have a Shogun who likes to keep quiet: And I also have some Gold Knight armor with sloppy printing that I got replaced.
  24. Actually I was wrong, sort of. In this discussion article on Wookiepedia there is a debate about this very issue (scroll down to the 'Astromech' section). As things always go with SW, some people are adamant that the astromech's legs do in fact hang out, while in other movie shots there are no traces of the droid on the underside in the ship. Perhaps LEGO has better images from Lucasfilms that show the official way an astromech fits into an Eta-2, but I'm still expecting this thing to look too thick or just awkward from the side.
  25. What is that a picture of? In the film, R2 doesn't hang out of the bottom of the ship (although perhaps in the film the fighter is not actually thick enough to house R2 and it's all a trick/cg). I agree that the model may end up looking awfully thick, though, and the solution used on the new V-Wing might turn out to be better.
