Darkness Falls replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yes. The Toa from the first Team will be one of the promo sets. However, it has not been revealled if he is in Mahri Nui or not. The other figure who will join Sarda and Idris, though... that remains a mystery. Could be a Rahi... -

We've still got two Promo sets that need to be shown, you know... I wonder what they could be. -
I agree. I do think that Greg's Storyline goes against the simplicity of what Bionicle used to be, and therefore I think it would be "horrible" in idea for an "old-school" fan of Bionicle. I voice that ver ystrongly, and sometimes get caught up in the heat of things. I also think he does make empty promises and such and leaves cryptic messages, but I also know that he is a writer, and, being a writer myself, I love to tease. Still, I know it pisses off many people I drop these hints to. My advice for him is just to stop. You think we could dedicate this topic to calmly and politely discuss Greg in general?

...Seems reasonable, considering Kalmah and the squid are both closely related. He's a squid-based being, after all. Still... ridiculous.

Strange... those were the ones I wanted to get... -
But then that goes against what his original power was: To create a prison from which the prisoner couldn't escape. Greg needs to specify his powers. Oh, and plus... who cares? The Storyline pretty much doesn't make sense anyway.
-
...but if it were a perfect prison, the one inside shouldn't have been able to use his mask power. THAT'S the point.
-
I think one of the best things about it is that Greg has reassured us many-a-time that... The Nuva are teh most powerfull Toas EVER! At yet, they can be beaten easily. The Inika have the advantage of knowing their foes, eh? Then why, when Avak creates a "perfect prison" which the captive can never escape from, Kongu does it with ease by using his conveniently bestowed Kanohi? "On the next epsisode of Dragonball Z..."

...The Wonder Woman comment still has me baffled. Shares in drool factor. That would be awesome.

That sentence, right there, is why I don't give Bionicle a break. The End.

Fish. Man, do I hate 2007. He's right, you know. If you're going to bash Greg, do it with good reason, or in style. I think the only stupid thing about it is that the guy's name is Gadunka. Cartoon sound effect, anyone? -

...What? -
Well, if it annoys you, I'll stop. OY! Matoro's construction is one of the most unique, and I like it. However, for a Toa, it may not look right, but otherwise, very cool. Anyways, I think the main gripe about this year is the horrible (can you even call them)collectibles. They have no variations anymore, and... eh. I'm done.

Wow... a storyline device that works! Weird. Anywho, I'm sure Jaller can't see in the depths of the water, so that would make hella sense. -
Thanks to all for the comments, the last MoC I posted got little-to-none comments. Not quite. Those silver beams protruding from his head are more like goat horns, but he is supposed to have semi-futuristic battle armor.

Sorry, I have not seen one AK-47 in Bionicle thusfar, and Koli seems to have died, with Kohlii taking its place. You can't change the past, but you can try to write a better future. That Hewkii Mahri doesn't have to be Hewkii Mahri if you don't want him to be. EDIT: Also, I'm not trying to hate on the haters... I'm as avid a debater and axis towards Bionicle's writers as you are.
-
I guess so.
-
I'm not sure what the number is... It was one of the first, though. Steven Speilberg signed, etc. Anyway, it was a hundred dollar set.

Are you guys for serious? Those are from the Movie-Maker set, way back when. Great apocalyptic baseplates.

I find it even more ridiculous that you edited that picture just to show me. ^^ Eh, I don't see a problem with that. At least he looks good doing it. Fill those in, though, and then I'll pass judgment on them. It really doesn't take away from the look. -

...He... he doesn't have holes in his Torso. Are we looking at the same thing, here? In any case, those holes are no bigger than any other Titans'. -
Started badly? The Barraki are great canister sets! The Mahri are the only things that might disappoint. Every year has their problems... I hated the Hordika. The Mahri I dislike slightly less. Other than that, this supposed downfall of Bionicle is a myth. Bionicle -setwise- is going strong as ever. Storyline, however... Oh yeah... I have not heard this on Eurobricks. The reaction here is pretty positive, surprisingly. BZPower is full of people who believe they are "purists" and want exactly what they envision to be the next batch of sets. They whine, while the New York Toyfair pics SUCKED. The ones in the recent Toyfair topic's pages are much better, and I believe the sets look better. Long story short, BZPower's members go on instinct. The people who took the pictures on that site should be... yelled at angrily... or something to that effect.

I'm not gonna lie, Maxilos is one of the most impressive Titans... ever. Anyone notice the "hydrolic" pipes (which are used to stiffen the legs) also present on his torso? He should be able to bend from side to side and balance. Very cool mask, too... reminds me of the Mask of X-Ray Vision of 2001. Plus, Spinax is practically a whole other set on him! I thought that was another Barraki head on him, but it's a whole different piece. Nicely built, too. Everything on that set is just done well. I think the Cordak Blasters were just made to match his color scheme! Hydraxon... still "eh" about him. Articulated fingers are cool, but he doesn't really interest me that much. However, he does have a good color mix, and some interesting weapons, too. Hydruka-er... Sharkticon-er... whatever... is great. I'm guessing a Rahi, and an impressive one at that. I can see that Ehlek spine technique being reused for a long time. I never noticed that red Piraka foot in his mouth though... strange. His colors are extremely smooth, though, and he flows the most naturally out of all the Titans. Gotta love that weird skullpiece! So they really are the highlight of this year. Plus, I totally agree that Jaller looks... heroic. He looks as if he was touched by the Gods, big sword, mask and all. Now all we have left is the mysterious special edition sets, which remain under wraps... curiouser and curiouser.
