  1. MAN-BAT! KGBEAST! That's all I have to say. And Man-Bat needs to be a new sculpt, or bigger than normal minifigs. He's the megablocks-kicker. And KGBeast beat Nightwing's megablocks some time ago... he's cool.
  2. First of all, welcome to Eurobricks! Next, I'd like to tell you about those arms. If you haven't looked into the 2007 Castle topic yet, there are new arms on the skeletons, which look like Battle Droid arms, but one of the peg holders is turned ninety degrees, making them able to hold weapons upright instead of on the side. I suppose they are using this technique on these Droids. Is that Plo Kloon in that Hyperspace Ring set? If so... SWEET!
  3. Life on Mars all over again, except this time, the Humans have come to destroy Martian Life. WHOO! Great vehicles, though I can't get a clear shot of those martians. Colossal vehicles, though. Who knows? Maybe, in the end, instead of obliterating each other, they'll learn to get along. ...Maybe.
  4. Robot Tank looks like it's made to store a crapload of stuff, even Mechs. However, the Mech that comes with is has a nice color scheme. Hey, a building in Exo-Force? UNHEARD OF! KMOI, I don't think there are bridges in this storyline, so that tank can just keep on rolling. That last Mech... can anyone say, "Topheavy?" However, it looks like he'll be saving the day with his two-toned mech from hell. That's all I've got.
  5. I agree, what the Toa Inika lacked this year was character. But hey, the "Hothead, Joker, Worried Female, etc." has worked for so many years, Greg sticks with it. I'm not saying I support that. Listen, Greg excels in two things, and two things only. One is making the storyline vastly confusing, and the other is writing the dialog for villains. The Piraka express this, for he breathed life into that evil. However, he left all other characters lacking, except perhaps Brutaka. This is all.
  6. So you'd rather have characters that possess one, distinguishing, extreme trait than a character who is fleshed out by his/her many different quirks?
  7. The Minifig on the Dragon doesn't look like a skeleton, that's for sure. Perhaps undead foot soldiers, and human overseers? Who can say?
  8. You're kidding, right? At least Jaller isn't the hot-head... he doesn't want to be like the Fire Toa of the Past. Kongu is more cynical... his humor isn't as potent. Naparu is wise, but focuses more on his inventions. He is also the more witty character. Matoro is much more of a team-player, and Hewkii and Hahli also possess their Matoran-esque traits. In short, they still act like Matoran. Did you just read the comics, or did you read the books?
  9. Still waiting for that SW Rancor. Still, those Tauntauns are a welcome addition, and I can't wait to see this beastly Wampa!
  10. But you can't talk about Greg's Universe sucking, because yours is equally as lame. Why rename the Toa Mata the Inika? Why rename the Toa Hagah? Don't give us irrelevant information about a "Void" and "Warp" if you don't explain it. Your story makes little sense. Try fleshing it out with an actual reason the "Toa Inika" were summoned to Mata-nui, eh? It makes no sense that Takua calls them there for no reason. The Seventh Toa being Takua was a great ending for the original writer to go out on, I'd keep it. Those first three years, not written by Greg, are gold. The Piraka are powerful beings, who feel no remorse in killing. That is why they kill and knock out Toa. Frankly, Toa are the "Police Force" of the Bionicle world. There are some Toa that have destinies, though, that raise them higher up than the other teams of Toa. Of course, all Toa have a destiny, whether it is to save a Matoran from a Rahi stampede, or perhaps, bring about the heroes who would transport the Matoran to Metru-nui. Some Toa can be killed off easily because they don't have storyline significance. Speaking of which, there are "about 50 Toa left" in the the Bionicle universe now. Good. They all must have important destinies, because Greg knows that random Toa without much purpose don't work well. He might say that there are a lot of Toa somewhere, but he never goes into detail about it. The reason he mentions so many Toa is because they ARE beings which the Bionicle universe hinges on... and having so many means that they undertook a challenge of extreme measure. Heck, even the 300 Toa that surrounded the Dark Hunters on Metru-nui shows something: The Dark Hunters were a dangerous enough foe that 300 element-wielding, Mask-bearing Toa had to counter them. Plus, we'll never know how much experience those Toa guarding the Makoki Stone actually had... they could have just been turned into Toa. My two cents.
  11. Not new sets, chief. Promos that certain places sell. Certain countries, actually. He said he'd delve into the Matoran Legends more. Karzahni is the only example of that. A good one, by the way... he was a great character before getting cast aside for the "real story." You see, if people would understand that, they'd realize that Makuta was way more evil than MoL and LoMN portrayed him. Good explanation of it.
  12. Those... troll-giant things look a little too unimportant to be part of the line, though... they just seem added in. If they did show up, I'd be totally psyched.
  13. That takes hella bricks, my friends. ...Hella bricks.
  14. Are you kidding? Falling off a bridge is the only way a Bridgewalker can be beaten!
  15. The Dragon possesses no Bionicle pieces, period. Entirely sculpted molds. I don't know why you guys hate the dragon. He's made of more pieces than the original Fright Knights Dragon, but less than the Vikings Dragons. If anything, the FK Dragon was more <insert that tiresome argument>. If you want a complicated Dragon, throw this one out and put a Vikings one in. Seriously, this isn't about mythical creatures. The line is "Castle" and that's what they're giving us. Adding Dragons in was to flesh out the medieval look. I definitely want that Skeleton carriage. Looks spiky and creepy. The Dark Castle, I guess, is supposed to be ominous. If you put that on the side of a mountain, it's going to look creepy. By the looks of it, though, Ogel-Wizard doesn't expect anyone to try to breach it. The big fight will most likely take place on the Good Castle end. Upon further inspection, I really have come to like that Good Castle. With the addition of an inner court, that thing would be great! I'm guessing it will be hollow inside, though. Some nice outer wall pieces, though. The Skeletons of the past would be unable to hold those weapons, hence the arm change. Smart move by Lego, in my eyes. At least we didn't get ripped off and found them sporting Exo-Farce... sorry, Exo-Force robot arms. And about those firing mechanisms... they look way better than the fictional KK2 and KK3 catapults. Horse mounted catapults? No, we've got accurate wheeled-crossbows and boulder-throwers. So, yeah... I'd say we're looking good.
  16. Once more, fans of Classic Castle disapprove the slightest move in the right direction. Though, as I've said before, all "fans" hate the product they buy.
  17. Well... that Dragon looks like it will come along with that 3vil... oops, I mean evil castle. If you're looking at the two castles, the evil one looks smaller, so it would make sense to add a Dragon to it. Speaking of the Dragon, I'm glad Lego at least went to a simpler build. They became very complex with Viking's Dragons, so it's looking better. But man... if I can get those skeletons in bulk... I'd love to have an army of them. Though I do miss the old skeletons, I see this as a welcome change, if they're supposed to be undead. Seriously, though... I think this is Alpha Team Castle. Ogel-Wizard? Weird Faces? Looks familiar. I'll definitely buy at least one of these sets. ^^
  18. Looks like Lego is going Retro this year... ^^ Good designs! I like it a lot. However, I'm not that much of a City fan, so I'll pass. They do look brilliant, though...
  19. Nope. Just criticism. Though I have taken it apart and gone in a complete new direction. I'll post pics as soon as possible. In that time, though, bash away! ^^
  20. Shall I direct you to your earlier post? Wow. What was constructive about your post in any way? Exactly. If you want to bash me, do it with a rational argument. I was directing that comment to people who hated the build without giving a way to recover. Also, I said it looked good in reality. After some helpful members like Kikuichimonji pointed things out, I can completely relate to them.
  21. Doubt it. It's a fact that Lego wouldn't make it like that. I'm seriously thinking that 2008 (the year this next story arc ends) will be the last year for Bionicle. This year, they've just gone wild with the sets, pleasing (some) fans with uniqueness, and the storyline just seems absolute. Whatever, though. Nocturn... what to say? I'm going to get him rather than some Barraki, just because some look "eh" to me. Other than him, Ehlek, Takadox, and Mantax... I won't hunt for any other sets this year.
  22. I'd have to agree with you all. It really does suck. Oh, wait... I built it. I shouldn't be talking. So.... what's the problem with colors? Blue and Orange contrast greatly on a MoC... and I think it looks fine. I suppose I'll prepare for the numerous "You must be colorblind" posts to rage in. As for the shape, I agree... the Cockpit needs a little touch up... but aside from that, it looks fine. I'll probably have a good modification up soon. However, there's a lot of detail on this ship, especially the engines and inner core. I'll try to get more pictures of that. I didn't expect to be taken so critically, but hey, its my first Space MoC, and first MoC here on EB, so I don't care if you give a megablock. Really? I didn't know. I'm quite illiterate.
  23. Um... tah-dah? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/GateGuar.../spaceship1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/GateGuar.../spaceship2.jpg
  24. It is a fact of fandom, my friend... that ALL things that come out will be bashed by fans somehow. It's kind of funny, actually... fans will always find something they DON'T like about a set.
  25. I'm sorry for the title mistake. I thought all boxed sets were called Titans since then... but I have heard Giants on the 2006 commercials, so I was never really sure. A boxed set, then.
