  1. It's so obvious that this is not Lego, given the "famous car" thing, that I wonder how the seller even managed to write "Technic"... didn't he even look at the bags?
  2. Halloween masks FTW
  3. Not exactly today, but last night I BrickLink'ed a few parts I need to finish my modified 8416 Forklift.
  4. After work yesterday and today, I downloaded the building instructions and built a modified version of the Flatbed Truck B-model of 8264 Hauler.
  5. Well, even if the toll limit was raised to 1000 kr, it wouldn't help with sets already over that limit in price. The next time I consider buying a set, I'll try this coolshop site.
  6. They were mean to me too when I got my 42009 through S@H. The information in the box said it was sent with DHL through a warehouse in Belgium, and I got a damn tax on about 1/3 of what I paid for the set, which was already expensive. I'm not tempted to use S@H or DHL anymore.
  7. I checked rebrickable - it's 81.6 x 38 R Balloon, same as the large tires on 8069 Backhoe Loader. I'm getting tempted to buy this set now
  8. Probably that it's one of the 11 pieces that has 666 in the number. Although I could understand it if this was #06666.
  9. Seems like just another d*ck trying to get insane profit by reselling...
  10. Lego is for everyone who likes it I find that Lego - Technic for me - stimulates my creativity. I have a huge interest in excavators, tractors etc., and Lego Technic allows me to create my "personal" machine. Whether I make something from scratch or modify an official set, I can create whatever my heart desires. That's Lego. Age is just a number. I once read that "you're not grown-up until you dare to be childish". And how true isn't that? Lego is a hobby. Lego, football, modeling, it's a hobby equal to any other hobby. Lego is for everyone who likes it
  11. mind.in.a.box - 8 Bits Stumbled across this a few weeks ago, and was hooked from the first listening.
  12. Very nice MOC, looking forward to see the progress
  13. Haha, I love this one
  14. I would like to have that part with an axle hole instead of a pin hole. Basically an improved and seemingly stronger version of this: I find this one weak by its construction, I think it would be stronger if it was made in the style of the angled connector #1.
  15. Exactly how I thought and felt before. I guess we've all been there.
  16. LOL, mixed up FTW
  17. Yeah, too bad it's legal. It should have been clear to everyone that it was limited to 20.000 copies. Anyone with morals should buy 1 or max. 2 sets to let as many as possible get the set. It's sad to see so many people who only cares about how many sets they can get their hands on and resell for much higher prices.
  18. I have to agree. I tried it out before disassembling mine, and it was way too heavy to function normally. Even on a plain table it was heavy. It would be like a real Unimog with the servo-less steering from a 50 year old tractor.
  19. 1. I grew out of Lego around 14. I gained interest again around December last year and ordered my first "modern" set online a few days before New Years Eve. 2. I don't remember when I got my first set, but I guess around 6, so 8 years pre-dark ages and less than a year post. 3. Hard to say. I guess as long as possible. I'm not far away from 25, so I guess at least 30's. 4. I guess a mix of memories and interest in the new line. 5. Perspective? Not really sure what to add here. Kronos - supportive wife, girls who loves Lego... sounds like you have the perfect AFOL-life
  20. How is the Mindstorms-white different from the Technic-white? Is it more bright?
