  1. May I ask how this trick worked, and why TLG consider it illegal? I can't imagine why it would be illegal.
  2. I have W7 too, but my pc might just be getting slow my problem is that the page needs quite some time to load in the videos.
  3. Yup, got the same problem here. I think I'll go with another way. Röyksopp & Susanne Sundfør - Ice Machine (live @ Lydverket) http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=hFPlGDKgiYc
  4. My only current plan is to finish the 42006 excavator to which I'm currently in the process of buying the missing parts. My overall plan is to build more
  5. I don't really use tires for anything other than models I build for display, so it's no problem to me. But I can understand that it's annoying to people who build crawlers and stuff and need proper rubber tires for grip.
  6. If the PP-wheels are that heavy and require much space, then it would indeed be best to reduce the weight and perhaps change the size in some way, if TLG should ever make them again.
  7. I never had the pleasure of getting my hands on the Power Puller wheels. I wouldn't mind it if TLG brought them back.
  8. Thanks for the links. I briefly looked at the link to the Chinese forum (?) yesterday, but the pics were gone when I checked it today to look for the details that was mentioned on the previous side of this thread. Even though the pic is blurry, I can recognize a Volvo loader, even though it looks like the 8265.
  9. That's the reality everywhere, right? You get what you pay for
  10. Maybe that's why some motors like the servo were delayed for so long. They were made in China, and China was angry at Denmark/USA for something
  11. I liked City Slizer, but I grew bored of the rest
  12. As far as I've understood, the share of yellow Technic sets have been rather big the last years. I would say that 42006 is so similar to 8043 that it should have been made in a different color. Orange would have been good, and would also stay realistic, since Daewoo and Hitachi makes orange excavators in general. The previous mobile cranes came in 2005 and 2002, I think. Given that these were also in yellow, I think 42009 should have been made in a different color. Red could have been good, or maybe white. Both occur on real mobile cranes.
  13. Is the non-colored ABS they use now, colored during the production process, or after the parts have been made?
  14. It's only logical that TLG make sets resembling the most popular things. What the market wants, is what sells. It does get a bit too much sometimes, though. I myself am a huge fan of construction machines and tractors, and I don't really care about super cars. That's just my opinion. I'm satisfied with the number of construction-themed sets, although I wish they would make them in other colors and not just yellow all the time. An orange front end loader would be nice for once. And perhaps they could try out new machines and/or variants/combinations of equipment. Even if the 2H2014 flagship is a Volvo-licensed front end loader, I think they should continue the orange theme from the Unimog, since the 2H2013 flagship was in yellow. Regarding other Technic sets, there's a few "new" things I would like to see, for example a licensed John Deere tractor in their typical colors. Being a fan of tractors, I personally would love that. My last year at high school, I took a course in the education for construction machine operator. I didn't manage to get a job as such, and now work with other things, but I drove a handful of machines that year. The biggest front end loader I drove, was a Volvo L180E with joystick steering. It was awesome
  15. From the 2 pics, this looks so real that I had to look closely to really see that it's Lego. Good job!
  16. If it is a Volvo front end loader, it's guaranteed to be in yellow. I would hope for another color, like an orange Hitachi loader. After the big mobile crane in 2H2013, I think the flagship of 2H2014 should have a different color.
  17. I'm 25 and have been into Lego for just over a year after I returned. To be honest, I feel a bit ashamed of being such a fan of a toy, and there's only 2 friends of me who knows about it. But, as the others said, it's a hobby. As long as YOU like it, that's what matters, right?
  18. Done a major modification on a MOD.
  19. Power puller wheels would be awesome. But I guess the most likely option is PF or maybe RC stuff.
  20. It looks very good now with the new cab and the other improvements. Makes me want the set
  21. I'd say they already did so. The 42024 cab looks very similar to the 42008 cab.
