  1. Hi Folks, should have big updates out within 48hrs, work has simply got me swamped right now, thankfully my weekend is looking free.
  2. "It has not. Would you attempt to extinguish a fire with flowers? It is simply not possible." "Nothing too big, maybe the size of a dog and it'll glow like that." "Most of our kind the Dark Druids find get dragged back to the tower, we don't have any idea what they're doing to them there. Our hope is that we can still save some." The party sleeps as Benji and the fairies take turns keeping watch over the group. Hours pass and the party is visited by wonderful and yet terrifying dreams nearly too fantastical for them to comprehend. As they awake each of the group notes that there has been no change in the scenery, everything continues in shadow. Rinti summons her golden axe from the dust in the air. "If you're all set, we'll head out." Benji has joined the Party! QM Note: The faeries will have their own mechanic in battle as opposed to being straight NPC's so as to avoid adding too much to keep track of. In the distance the shape of a tower can be seen on the horizon.
  3. "Good luck!" <Strange being so small again.> The heroes clamber aboard Torc and lift off for the embassy. The group touches down a block away and can see a group of a dozen paladins and town guard stationed in front of the embassy.
  4. As Boomingham settles he notes a heaviness on his eyelids, soon he drifts off to sleep. White roots slowly creep over the vindicator, wrapping themselves around his form. The zombie turns to the remainder of the party. "Eat... or... leave..."
  5. "Let me see what Portia still had in stock." The doctor leaves the lab for a few minutes before returning with 3 Phoenix Essence and 3 Smelling Salts. "150 Gold for ze lot considering the help you've given zis Guild over ze years." As the heroes head out they can see the light of morning just beginning to peak over the city walls, they figure they have about an hour before the city begins to wake. Atramor notes that Torc, having been minimized, had followed them into the Guild House. "When Father brought my siblings and me here, he told us so many amazing stories about the wonders of this city. He showed us the richness of its culture and the opportunities it presented to all who came here. I won't let that city he shared with us just disappear. You're my only hope if I ever want to see any of my family again, what choice do I have?"
  6. "Shouldn't be able to." "Won't say no to extra swords, if you're half as useful as Benji we may just stand a chance." "Fey One? We're all Fey" Bluedvi indicates the other fairies. "If they're of any importance they would have been at the Tower of the Seelie Court."
  7. "Possibly, we've seen similar structures around the fortress. We're heading there tomorrow, you can accompany us and get a closer look."
  8. "Not that I'm aware, most of the druids are folks They corrupted and ensnared within the Lost Forest." "The concentration is definitely lower than usual, what magic we have left is reduced to simple combat spells and visual tricks like the one Haverti just created."
  9. "The dust is the Faerie, it's ourselves, it's what brings life. It allows us to shape this realm to our wants, as well as our own bodies. As your companion mentioned, among the mortal races it is indeed a powerful aphrodisiac." "The Dark Druids, we don't know how, but they've established some sort of refinery where they can extract the dust from the land and from... ourselves." "Allow me to show you." With a flick of his wrist, Haverti creates glowing miniature figures of fairies and the world they live in out of the dust in the air. As the fairy narrates the models follow his story. "For years, the Faerie realm has been under siege by the archdemon known as Rosier. She feeds upon the dust and it strengthens her power and influence over her legions of Dark Druids. A year ago the demon's forces broke through in an unprecedented number led by Rosier herself. We could not stand against their might and the tower of the Seelie Court fell. In its place a fortress of rot and decay now stands, our people were scattered, most of our leaders dead, the rest of us were hunted. What remains of the Fae folk are either in hiding, have escaped to other realms, or like our group, fights back in guerrilla forces."
  10. "It does indeed and fluctuates as well. A year here could easily encapsulate a month in your mortal realm and vise versa, depending on the flow of the dust."
  11. "Very well, I still don't like the look of them. Rinti, Bluedvi, sheathe your weapons. Let's make camp, it's been a long enough day already." The fairies' weapons seem to vanish in a blinding light. Taking out supplies from their haversacks, the Rinti and Bluedvi begin to setup tents and a makeshift encampment. "Sounds like you're a year late." Rinti begins to slice up a shining fruit resembling a cross between an apple and a raspberry. The fairy gives Lind a confused look. "Excuse me? My name is Haverti." Bluedvi holds out a hand and catches a flake of dust on the back of his hand. "Spent Fairy Dust, it's what gave this place life once upon a time. With it's power removed, it coats the land in the ashes of our suffering."
  12. "Fairy Dust, Pixie Dust, same zing, just don't try ze rainbow stuff. Ze Faerie realm would be a direct source, unless of course you wanted to grind up a fairy's body.
  13. The party heads through the portal, motion sickness overtaking them as they jump from one plane of existence to another. Moments later the group finds themselves in a small glade, the portal quickly closing behind them. A fine dust or pollen floats through air and everything seems cloaked in shadow. With a shout, several winged figures jump the party, weapons drawn, a familiar face among them. "Death to the invaders!"
  14. "Ze synzetic? It's a drug, no shape altering properties like ze pure stuff. It may make you feel like you're in anozer body experience, but zat's about it. I'm not quite sure how it's made, some of ze slime men in ze city peddle it."
  15. The druids seem to be growing agitated. "Passion... bury... reaching... searching... Now... eat... eat... eat..." Boomingham can feel a softness brushing against his consciousness, though he can't seem to grasp its intentions currently. As Boomingham reaches the oracle, he finds he can't penetrate the glowing sphere of energy enveloping her still form. "Must... sleep... commune... connect..."
  16. "We'll try and get things set back up in Xu and send a message through when we're ready, but if you can find another way, that'll probably be more dependable." "No clue, the Faerie is a hard plane to pin-point. It's constantly in flux and moving about, much like its inhabitants from what I hear." "Tritech airships, they'll be getting the rest of the equipment to Xu."
  17. "It's a pretty rare substance from my understanding, doesn't occur naturally on zis plane as far as I'm aware. Zere's a synzetic out zere on ze black market, pretty strong stuff from what I hear." Faerie Dust (Allows the user to change their age, size, and gender for a short period of time. +1 Stealth, Consumable.)
  18. "Might be some, Portia would have to go zrough ze remainder stock. I know zey keep a pretty low inventory to keep costs down, but we've got a lot of raw ingredients, so given enough time we could probably whip somezing up for you. Now let's see what we've got here." The alchemist mixes the powder in a variety of solutions, dissolves, boils, condenses, titrates, reacts, freezes, and melts the substance. A good ten minutes later the alchemist smiles at the group. "I believe what you have here, is grade A pixie dust."
  19. Round 6 of Tritech Tussle >Throlar uses Smoke Bomb - Success THE PARTY FLEES! "This isn't over heroes, you can't run forever." Smoke fills the room as the group notes the roof of the laboratory beginning to open. The party quickly makes its way to the cellar and find Doctor Giocanda in front of a large circular structure, white pulses of energy emanating around the circumference. Stairs lead into a portal of white energy. "Quickly, you don't have much time. We'll figure out somewhat to get you out, but we'll need to dismantle the gate somewhat to make sure no one follows you. I've no idea what you're going to find there, but good luck. Any last questions?"
  20. "Deep..." The cavern is earthen and while the fungus may burn with enough heat, the room is not composed of anything super combustible.
  21. As Boomingham consumes the root, he feels a strange warmth coursing through his veins. A sharp pain suddenly pierces Lawrence's stomach nearly keeling him over as all feeling seems to leave his body. The color drains from the vindicator's face and his eye's turn an earthen green. Boomingham senses the feeling return to his limbs, but it is duller, fuzzy, somewhat unfamiliar, as if there is an absence of something that he can't quite put his finger on, he does retain his wits though. "Here... sleep... commune..." The druid points to one of the mushroom huts, inside the party can see several zombies entwined in more of the white roots. The druid steps in Torald's way, holding out another white root. "Eat..."
  22. The party, while not dealing much damage, manage to heal up and get their feet back under them. Throlar's Guardian Angel, sticks around for the time being as Doctor Giocanda shouts from the cellar. "We're all set, we won't be able to keep it open for long!" 23. "Of course, zough it is still early so most of ze Guild hasn't arrived. Follow me." The formulist waits for the group to dismount before pulling out a small pouch of minimizing powder tossing it on Torc shrinking the dragon to the size of a panther. "Don't want folks getting suspicious. Here," The doctor tosses a remedy to Hoke. "Just in case." Leading the party inside to a small laboratory, the doctor pulls on a pair of sterile gloves. "Now, what are we dealing with here?"
  24. "Mr. Gibbin?!? It has been an age indeed. Oh zis?" The alchemist gestures the mess around the hall. "Have you not heard about ze rioters? Uncouth swine if you ask me... Apparently news of one of Dr. Cula's discontinued projects got out, it was only a minor amount of grave robbing, he did pay ze fines. But you know how excitable ze masses can be. It's been nozing but protests and boycotts all week. We even had to shut our shop in ze marketplace." The doctor shuffles nervously in front of the dragon. "I heard about ze posy-chick of Heroica being in ze naughty, but you know how ze zings go? You can't trust everyzing you read in ze papers. Now what's zis about mysterious substances?"
